For one, even though I wrote the script well beforehand (like a year ago), I went back and watched movie again so I could fact-check what I was saying. Doing this only gave me a LOT more to say about the movie.

The sequel trilogy makes the entire OT pointless. Instead of continuing where episode 6 left off and making something new, it’s just a rip off of the OT.

The reason this film was celebrated so much is because it was basically an OT purist's wet dream. Because of that people ignored its flaws hoping that the next film would explain everything. Then the next film came out
