JJ couldn't be bothered to think about the consequences of plot points. It's why plot convenience is his answer to everything. It probably never crossed his mind why Luke didn't come to save Han. Or why the First Order and Resistance even exist in the first place. Or how the Resistance can possibly exist alongside the Republic. Or why Luke is even in isolation in the first place. Rian had to (and did) think about the consequences of everything that happened in TFA and did an admirable job in my opinion.

Rogue One, The Last Jedi and Solo are the last good SW movies since The Rise of Skywalker not only ignored the previous 2 films but the entire Skywalker Saga as a whole. This is my least favourite out of all 9 SW Films (The Skywalker Saga) and it's the only film that i hated the most.
Out of all of the sequel trilogy reviews I've seen, yours probably is the closest to matching how I feel. I knew I really liked TLJ the first time I saw it, especially compared to TFA, but now I actually love it. On my rankings of all the Star Wars movies TLJ is my number three, behind Rogue One and ESB.

I didn’t like last Jedi it’s my least favorite one alongside force awakens and especially rise of skywalker but your last Jedi analysis is interesting compared to others I’ve seen and your are right a lot of problems with last Jedi I personally have were started by force awakens
Rogue One was great (yeah they all died but we all knew that going in... the story was entertaining) but Solo was meh, neither good or bad. TJL is still in the bad category despite a lot of it being covering up TFA's issues. They could have had a better ending for Luke, nerfed Rey significantly and extended her actually training, killed Akbar in a heroic manner (remove Admiral Too Bitchy and have Akbar suicide run), removed the Leia flying through space in favor of another way of showing her force power, shortening the Canto Bight scene dramatically to make the point but not waste so much movie there, and Finn getting rammed and kissing Rose (what's the point?). I can get over issues like the bombers and the light speed attack because they were entertaining scenes but I do wish they would have constructed a narrative to actually make the light speed attack a "one in a million" chance. I think the existence of the TFA and ROS bookending TJL makes it a far worse movie because they don't work well together and the potentially interesting storylines set up in the second movie literally went nowhere.
Did….did you just convince me into actually liking the last jedi? I hated it when it came out but then when rise of skywalker came out i was starting to like the last jedi but after this video damn i like it more now than i ever have
