Bane trilogy is awesome, the progression of Bane from his name as his abusive father would tell him he was the Bane of his existence while he worked in the mines from then being with soldier to then being in the academy where we see him fail utterly to a zarbrak then to learn from it through study and training when he eventually toys with his former opponent. Bane takes a lot from Vader in sense that his failure and his own tragic upbringing is what fuels his drive and power, the underlying reasoning why fans are fascinated with the sith is the Nietzcheian quality of constant struggle in molding the complete self. This why I love Star Wars as in life too you have to give or take pieces of all ideologies as both the Sith and Jedi possess useful tenets.
THIS IS ART P.S. i just wanted to say thank you for keeping everything cool about star wars still surfaced when it seems the powers that be almost want to destroy this beloved franchise. Personally i love the sith so much, however, i find it so amazing that the jedi can overcome such a powerful enemy and how it inspires hope to so many people. With content creators like you who make videos like this, star wars has such almost infinite universe to explore, you can figure out almost every question that wouldnt hurt to have an answer too and its not to uncommin to find an answer to a question you didnt realize you had. Again, thank you so much.
Actually, I would say that the Rule of 2 in Revens sith was more like "there can only be two sith lords" with many others being "Sith" in a Sith order. And I would say Revens rule was likely based on Ulic Qel-droma and Exar Kun, before that there could only be one Dark Lord of the Sith in the Sith Order... Its weird, but interesting.
Do not forget that the Sith species also worshipped Ajunta Pall and his followers because Ajunta deceived them into believing that he was a direct descendant of their ancient God-King: Adas. The Kasai Priests believed his claim and all the lower castes of the red-skinned natives began treating them like overlords This is where Lords of the Sith comes from, the exiles were given dominion over their entire species. Also Ziost was already a Sith World when the exiles found them, it was their capital world, Korriban was mainly a tomb world when the exiles first landed.

It's very interesting how you mentioned that Darth Vader was basically a slave to counselor/general palpatine as he was stuck in a robotic suit making Darth Vader a cyborg. Later had not been maimed and was fully human he would have more power to travel the universi whenever he's so pleased. Instead he was stuck in a suit that made him enslaved to constant treatment, recharging, feeding and the like.
The knowledge that they’re called Dark Lords of the Sith because they were literally Dark Lords worshipped by the Sith race actually kinda blew my mind. The deep lore is wild
They could’ve preserved some of the mystique just by having him wear his helmet whenever he’s in the public eye, so only his inner circle knows what he looks like. They also could’ve preserved his anonymity by wearing a Tusken face covering while he was with them until he got his armor back. With most people not knowing what he citizens looks like, he could’ve gone out in public without his mask and been a bit of his own spy. A villain with a Bruce Wayne/Clark Kent alter ego opens up all kinds of possibilities.

The story of Darth Bane is one of my absolute favourites. But it has always puzzled me that a Sith mandate, known only by the Sith is some how common knowledge amongst the Jedi. What do you think about this SWT?
It was explained in Legends that a Fallen Jedi named Kibh Jeen became aware of the Rule of Two in his efforts at collecting forbidden dark side knowledge. Kibh warned of the Rule of Two with his dying breaths as the Jedi slew him but they dismissed the idea since Bane was believed to have died by their hands long ago before he could pass on his philosophy. It's a long story but basically, in the second book of the Drew Karpyshyn Darth Bane trilogy, Darth Zannah helped stage Darth Bane's death by driving her 20-year-old force-sensitive cousin Darovit Insane and leading the Jedi into killing him under the belief that he was the last Sith Lord.
Apparently Luke Skywalker would one day encounter the thought bomb on Ruusan and use the force to finally free the spirits of the trapped Jedi, after over a thousand years of suffering. Happy ending!
Wow and here I thought I knew all there was about these ancient sith lords but after watching this video I now know more about them thanks Theory may the force be with you always and continue making awesome content man I love your vids.
Revan is in my opinion just as "chosen" as Anakin. Maybe even more, he understood both light and dark which as often stated are both one before the force itself. Skywalker didn't have such a profound understanding of both light and dark as he had. His spirit even split into a dark and light side just to later reunite to become one with the force millennia before Jin. Revan was the one responsible for the fall of the mightiest Sith emperor who ruled for 1000 years and was basically indestructible just as Vader later. He also brought the Republic to the brink of extinction just to rescue it. Revan is described as the strongest force user existing in the Jedi order at the time only beaten by an emperor who devoured a whole planet for power. And yes, I know that in the sequels Sidious was supposedly able to create black holes which I find to be quite ridiculous. Thank you Disney for ruining great story telling. The "chosen one" is a result of every strong person around and before him, the visions of people and his probable actions. If Revan hadn't distracted the emperor Vitiate for decades, the galaxy would have been wiped out.
Imagine the knowledge Bane would've learned if Revan had made a holocron after kotor. Revan reborn was definitely alot more knowledgeable than his past Sith Lord incarnation
Another great video. The first two kotor games introduced me to the ancient Sith like Ajunta pall , Marko Ragnos, Naga Sadow and Darth Revan . They were true pioneers of the Dark side . No wonder Darth Sidious had a great deal of respect for them. This is why I love legends.
Darth Plagueis needs more content also. The book was 80% about Papaltine! But I am right there with you on Path of Destruction (Trilogy) and Darth Plagueis being my favorite star wars books of all time!
They should do Episode 10, 11, 12 and base it on The Knights of The Old Republic and have Keanu Reeves play Revan because god that would work. I cannot decide if 10, 11, 12 should simply cover Revan and Malak or also include Knights of the Old Republic 2 with Kreia mirroring the Palpatine encounter in ROTJ but perhaps that wouldn't work at all because both games are too big for all that little screen time so the first game and the best one works for a sequel trilogy but then again we all know the story so nothing of shock value would really come out of it for us unless Revan takes the Dark Side ending in this one the way Rey should of done in the last sequel trilogy: "There's been nobody here for years. Who are you?!" "I'm Rey." *looks over to see Palpatine's force ghost laughing in glee* "Rey Palpatine" *credits roll as her eyes turn yellow*
I kinda think of it like two rivers, one is the light side and one is the dark, they both must maintain the same forward momentum because they are really one big river, " The Force". The Jedi order, and, at first, the dark Lords, shared the "force" of each of their respective rivers, essentially turning a river into many streams. The rule of two brought the current back into two streams which were much more powerful that the little streams of power used by the Jedi. Thus, the (few) sith were much more powerful than the many jedi. Bane realized they must use subterfuge and planning because they were massively outnumbered, but the power that the dark side had gave them the "sorcery" to hide themselves right in the middle of jedi and not be sensed. But I also think that the wise Jedi and the wise Sith ultimately knew that there could never be a true winner because it was one big river of the force all along that would always balance itself. Anakin and Sidious balanced the force by basically wiping out both sides.
I wish star wars legends had amazing fan art like warhammer 40k. I’ve been waiting for someone to do art for the Bain books and the plaguis novel and even like heir to the empire all the way to Abeloth. Like we can we please get some more art? Star Wars theory could you hire one I’ll buy the work!
She honestly was the truest Sith if there was any. Imagine if she Taught Bane, Palpatine, and such. Honestly think Palpatine would be the one most interested in her teachings.
@@trealosgaming3345 She probably would promote both philosophy since she believes in diversity of opposites in philosophy but at the same time I think she would prefer to teach to not rely so heavily on the force unlike Palpatine that's like 'MORE POWER" lol
Been reading the tales of the Jedi comics learning about Naga Sadow and Exar Kun. Like I vaguely know about all the stuff from that era but I like actually going through all the content and just learning about this kind of stuff
Making legends non canon only severely limited the pool of source material to be used for better Star Wars films. Imagine a 6 part film series starting at the Great Schism and moving through the stories of Exar Kun, then Bane, the Mandolorian Wars and ending with a Revan light side finale. Could be better than all 6 episodes if done well.
Was there ever an order of force welders whom were like Jedi without the dogma? Not like evil Jedi but like peacekeepers whom aimed for good but didn't limit themselves a dogma?
Luke is considered such a Jedi. As Michael said some people refer to them as Grey Jedi. But the fan base largely doesn’t accept Grey Jedi as being a thing. The general consensus is that the Jedi Order themselves are the ones that put certain powers, actions and feelings into the “dark” category. Some agree that Jedi who don’t agree with this and become exiled or leave (but are not evil) are closer true Jedi because they believe in a balance of the force. Which is something that Luke understood as well. But in the end, there is still only good and evil.
@@Beletorix this is true, I would like if they created an order that understood training only those that could master their dark side like Mace Windu, while remaining on a path for good in as such as good was relative to what is best for each moment and or situation... much like what we need in life
It would be really cool if star wars would make a new type of force users that used both sides of the force. ones that traind using them equally and not using one more then the other. Maybe that's what the chosen one is suppose to be. Like maybe the chosen one of the light side is the same as the dark side chosen one but the jedi and the sith misinterpreted the prophecy maybe the chosen one is supposed to stop the way of the jedi and the sith and teach them how to use both equally think about it if they use both equally that would balance them out. I've been watching every thing star wars including videos about sith lore and jedi lore all week and all night so this is me being crazy and I mean everything.

Yes you are not alone. I love Darth Bane too. He was really ambitious and had never ending quench for knowledge. He would do anything, literally anything to acquire more knowledge even risking his own health. But still at the same time he was no fool either. "Honor is for the living, the dead is dead." - Darth Bane.
Legends are my Canon, especially Jacen & Jana solo, Mara Jade, Anakin and Ben skywalker and of course Jedi Grand Master and father, Luke Skywalker who is exactly as he should be.
I have an interesting "theory" idea: What if, after saving Palpatine from Moralo Eval's plot, Obi-Wan just straight up disappears. He doesn't die, he's just gone. Perhaps some interference from the World Between Worlds. With this being so close to the return of Darth Maul, how would this affect stuff? How would Anakin react? What does Palpatine do?
@31:15 Anakin when he turned to the darkside did bring balance to the force. Yoda and palpatine(masters), Kenobi and Vader(students), yeah there may have been other Jedi out there, but they were no where near kenobi’s league. Because of Luke, the whole balance was thrown off, the only thing that should exist after is a force follower who follows both teachings

I would happily vote to legalize that stuff for recreation because it is better to have a few meaningful happy perfect hopeful wonderful years before OD’ing than to live for decades in a meaningless miserable horrible commie-ridden world where everything sucks including star wars.😩
@@RogersGirl88 amen brother, a-fucking-men
Bane trilogy is awesome, the progression of Bane from his name as his abusive father would tell him he was the Bane of his existence while he worked in the mines from then being with soldier to then being in the academy where we see him fail utterly to a zarbrak then to learn from it through study and training when he eventually toys with his former opponent.
THIS
IS
ART
P.S. i just wanted to say thank you for keeping everything cool about star wars still surfaced when it seems the powers that be almost want to destroy this beloved franchise.
Just got my tonsils out, this video came at the perfect time, I always loved learning about the ancient Sith. Thank you theory!!
"Hmm... them. Sith Stirrers they are." - Yoda, probably
GO AWAY
Do not forget that the Sith species also worshipped Ajunta Pall and his followers because Ajunta deceived them into believing that he was a direct descendant of their ancient God-King: Adas.
The Kasai Priests believed his claim and all the lower castes of the red-skinned natives began treating them like overlords
This is where Lords of the Sith comes from, the exiles were given dominion over their entire species.
Also Ziost was already a Sith World when the exiles found them, it was their capital world, Korriban was mainly a tomb world when the exiles first landed.
Well said the dark Jedi exiles were the lords of the Sith species
Ahhh…good old Theory. Giving me moments of Nostalgia. My early twenties spent researching Star Wars characters and compiling historical info for my early days of kotor fanfiction writing.
This vid is going to come in handy for when I’m finally able to complete my new SW fanfic.
Thanks, Theory. You just re-lit the spark. 🎇
I find villains far more interesting than heroes. The backstories are almost always better and usually you can understand as to why some villains are the way they are.
Old Sith lords such as these make A Game ofThrones look tame. (Also better written)
So stoked for this! Downloaded it and watching it on my flight later. 👏🏼 much obliged Theory.
@starwarstheory you're one with the force! I absolutely love watching and listening to your theories! I listen to your vids in the car! Everywhere! You're an amazing star wars fan! Much love! My favorite out of all the RUclips lore!

HK-47 is my favorite droid. He made me laugh so much in KOTOR. I was so happy to see a part of him in SWTOR! Made me smile. Tulak Horde! The Lord of Hate! I'm so glad you mentioned him. He is one of my favorite Sith.
Hi theory! Love all your videos! The recent ones are even better, keep it up. I wanted to ask if it's possible to higher your voice volume in your videos. I rather have to lower the volume than not having more volume bar to make it higher. It's really hard to listen to your videos while doing other chores, as I do usually. Thanks!
Its funny how oblivious the jedi always seem to be. Powerful evil people keep showing up under their nose and they never seem to notice till said evil guy has already trashed the universe.
A live action series about the Sith would be off the hook!
Not needed , all we need is the expanded universe it’s already perfect
No. Disney would ruin it. Leave it alone.

You're an incredible story teller. The "what of Maul trained Anakin" story was next level. You should have Kathleen's job. Thank you for keeping the true galaxy alive.
I stood in line for the first movie. Star Wars was astonishing in the 70s. I love your content sir, who would have thought that it would grow into this. What an adventure this has been.
I have always believed Anikan was the chosen one and the Sithari embodying both the light and the dark, and as so brought both orders back to square one, returning balance to the force.
There is balance when there is no Sith though
@@dawthvadah1249 You cannot perceive the light without darkness to give it definition. the whole balance with no Sith is just what the the Jedi came to believe because they saw themselves as good.
@@seigwarhieght the only reason there is light is because there is the dark that the Sith use. The dark throws everything off. There is only the force. Not light and dark
Thank you so very much for making this video. I happen to be a tremendous fan of the legends content, and I don’t think we get enough of it in all Star Wars Media.
I’ve been a fan of Star Wars, since my father first showed me episode four, and I’ve been hooked ever cents. However, this section of Star Wars is incredibly fun, and I hope that someday we get some more content about this era of a galaxy far far away.
Learning about Adjunta was awesome. I still remember the ancient Sith ghost you get to meet on Korriban.
The knowledge that they’re called Dark Lords of the Sith because they were literally Dark Lords worshipped by the Sith race actually kinda blew my mind. The deep lore is wild
Really enjoyed going back through these. Thanks for doing the compilation.
Ajunta Pall: so that why on Starwars The Old Republic he has a tomb aside Naga Sadow and map called Valley of Dark Lord(noted)
Revan: his cult called Revanite on Dromun Kaas and his storage was can be found on Naar Shadaa for stolen Infinate Engine(Starwars:The Old Republic, still explore as Bounty Hunter)
Tulak Hord:his tomb was on Valley of Dark Lord(Starwars The Old Republic)
Naga Sadow: we take his lightsaber on his tomb(Starwars The Old Republic)
Nihilus: his/her mask sell on Cartel Market
One of the best trilogies I've read. I loved it. His philosophy landed with or ended with Sidious ruling the galaxy.
Thank you for this video
If Revan hadn't distracted the emperor Vitiate for decades, the galaxy would have been wiped out.
you're 100% right
Feels like I’m back in school, but I actually look forward this class 🔥 quality as always!!
Disney should just hire you and become the star wars loremaster. Another great video man!😁🔥
He's meant to destroy Disney not join them!!
@@shdwfxgamerz7667 😂😁
Who are you?!" "I'm Rey." *looks over to see Palpatine's force ghost laughing in glee*
"Rey Palpatine" *credits roll as her eyes turn yellow*
Yes!!! Genaral Theory Thanks for a Holocron History Lesson ⚡

Listen to these at work. Time flies by so fast. I appreciate this content
Theory you really should play swtor, at least the original 1-50 stories from the force user classes. There is alot of good stuff in there.
Dude I’ve been waiting for a video like this for so long! Thank you Theory!
Exactly the vid compilation I’ve been looking for 👌🏻👌🏻 especially since I just started reading the Darth Plageus novel 🔥🔥🔥
This is awesome!
Thank you so much man, that was freakin awesome!!😮🎉
I LOVE Kreia and her philosophy, quite the progressive force user and can even implement some of her teachings in real life. lol
Bane would appreciate the most I think however since he was a exceptional soldier and the force clearly made him much better.
Been reading the tales of the Jedi comics learning about Naga Sadow and Exar Kun. Like I vaguely know about all the stuff from that era but I like actually going through all the content and just learning about this kind of stuff
Love the Stories of the ancient Sith.
I fell asleep to this and now I'm pissed that idk where I left off. Great video man, the ancient force is something cannon needs to cover firsthand.
Revan came before Bane though
Love watching theses long videos and relaxing on Sundays. 👍 Bane is probably my favorite series of books
Can’t wait to see Revan return in all his glory with the KOTOR remake!
I miss THIS kind of Theory uploads. Not just complaining about SW.
I loved exploring the tombs and Korriban in general in the SWTOR games, Ajunta was in there
Thank you for all the Star Wars content theory!

Was there ever an order of force welders whom were like Jedi without the dogma? Not like evil Jedi but like peacekeepers whom aimed for good but didn't limit themselves a dogma?
Grey Jedi
Luke is considered such a Jedi. As Michael said some people refer to them as Grey Jedi. But the fan base largely doesn’t accept Grey Jedi as being a thing. The general consensus is that the Jedi Order themselves are the ones that put certain powers, actions and feelings into the “dark” category. Some agree that Jedi who don’t agree with this and become exiled or leave (but are not evil) are closer true Jedi because they believe in a balance of the force. Which is something that Luke understood as well. But in the end, there is still only good and evil.
@@Beletorix this is true, I would like if they created an order that understood training only those that could master their dark side like Mace Windu, while remaining on a path for good in as such as good was relative to what is best for each moment and or situation... much like what we need in life
Love it ! I wondered what to do for the next 1 hour and 45 minutes lol, brilliant my boy ! Brilliant !
I've been watching every thing star wars including videos about sith lore and jedi lore all week and all night so this is me being crazy and I mean everything.
that would be cool
I mean grey Jedi exist aren't they not afraid to use the dark side?
The Chosen One is supposed to destroy the Sith because balance is when there are no Sith. The Jedi don’t use the light side, they use the force
Man I love these old stories. I read them a long time ago. It's great to get to hear them again without having to actually read them. U also touched on how some ,I guess "younger" viewers don't appreciate how bad ass the Legends EU true cannon is.
We need this for the ancient Jedi.
It's awesome to see that I'm not alone in my love of the lore of Darth Bane. What Disney has done isn't even entertaining as an action film. They missed the best storyline ever written by killing it in their version of the movie sequels. Keep on doing what you're doing. JWL-Out
Yes you are not alone. I love Darth Bane too. He was really ambitious and had never ending quench for knowledge. He would do anything, literally anything to acquire more knowledge even risking his own health. But still at the same time he was no fool either.

Are you going to make a jedi one of these? Love listening to the lore. Also like how you narrate the comics and books!
I could listen to you narrate this stuff for days
I have an interesting "theory" idea: What if, after saving Palpatine from Moralo Eval's plot, Obi-Wan just straight up disappears. He doesn't die, he's just gone. Perhaps some interference from the World Between Worlds. With this being so close to the return of Darth Maul, how would this affect stuff? How would Anakin react? What does Palpatine do?

Great video T, enjoyed the compilation you did on Vader as well
Dude, I could literally listen to your videos for hours and hours while working on a project. How do I know? Because I did it today.
Seriously love these compilations
@31:15 Anakin when he turned to the darkside did bring balance to the force. Yoda and palpatine(masters), Kenobi and Vader(students), yeah there may have been other Jedi out there, but they were no where near kenobi’s league. Because of Luke, the whole balance was thrown off, the only thing that should exist after is a force follower who follows both teachings
These type of videos is why I fell in love with this channel
You are a real treasure my friend. I love your videos and your voice is very soothing. If Pimpin Papa Palpatine were here, he himself would approve, seeing as to how this is a supercut of the correct philosophy!

I also read in one of the interviews Lucas did for a book that Leia was the chosen one. Interesting how Lucas himself has given different answers.
