Covering and reviewing issues 1-25 (2017-2018) of the awesome Vader comics by Lucasfilm, Marvel, Charles Soule and Disney. I hope my breakdowns and reviews of each will bring you entertainment and a more clear understanding of Vader's journey after Star Wars Revenge of the Sith. I can't wait for Marvel and Lucasfilm to make the next batch of canon Vader comics coming in 2020 after Episode 9 The Rise of Skywalker. It's gonna be a blast! I think it’s crazy how quickly Sidious went from basically begging Anakin to join his side to him just straight up torturing and playing with Anakin.
Sidious was in control of everything the whole time though. Anakin never stood a chance.
Anakin got himself defeated by obi wan, thats what changed everything, he had no business loosing there, that's wen Palpatine deemed him a failure basically, literally 5 seconds after getting what he wanted he was disappointed
@@shathaan1763 I mean that’s true, but I do think it’s strange that Palpatine purposely designed Vader’s suit to limit his potential.
No matter what his force potential was lowered but with a more high tech suit that actually heals his injuries, he’d gain a lot of power back. He lost several limbs, that’s an insurmountable loss in terms of midoclorians, but the permanently damaged cells Sidious purposely let fester in vaders body stunted his power even more so. Who knows how much stronger he would have been if Palpatine wasn’t as Sadistic as he generally tends to be
I feel like part of it was playing at his emotions trying to make him feel like he needed him to bring him over to the dark side and play at the fact that the Jedi belittled him essentially by not making him master and making him feel like they didn’t need him truly but once he had him and was in a position to cage him in the suit like a dog lowering his power enough to forever be in control but to still be a powerful tool as well as strengthen his connection to the dark side by torturing and making him feel the negativity that fuels the power of the dark side an elaborate game he couldn’t have played if anakin never lost control and lost the battle against obiwan. I feel like palpatine knew the battle would either go the way of anakin severing his connection to the light side by killing those who loved him on mustafar in obiwan and possibly padme if she tried to fight it or being seriously wounded as he was and getting the opportunity to shape him into the perfect tool that could never overtake him and do his bidding so he can take all risk and if he fails he can make a new apprentice

Huh. I feel precisely the opposite. I love this channel, but the one thing which consistently irks me is their inclination to voice act the lines. Poorly. They have, however, pointed me to an excellent comic series, and I think I will give them a read myself.

@@JesseLucas2013 It's actually the fact that it's so close but not quite there which bothers me. Instead of just doing the general traits of the voices, making it their own, these people get really close to the way the original actors sounded but can't quite get it perfect. So my brain, instead of just accepting that those aren't the same voices but that they work just fine, keeps going "Oh, that sounds like the Emperor! ...Wait. No, no it doesn't."
It's like an itch I can't scratch. They'd have done better to accept the vocal differences and focus on the emotion, pacing, intonation, and other distinguishing qualities of these characters' voices, instead of trying to match the originals down to the last detail and not managing it because duh, that's impossible. It's not the skill level that bugs me, it's what they're trying to do.

I just love how even thought in the movies we understood there was no coming back for anakin but in all these comics anakin never escapes Vader, anakin is always there trying to come back
Which makes it more understandable why he flipped and killed palpatine versus in the movies where it seems as tho he just changes sides randomly
@@originalterrorsquad I don't think it felt random at all. Luke spent all of ROTJ trying to bring Anakin back, and seemingly comes close. Vader was able to resist the pull to the light that his son managed to bring back, at least until Palpatine is about to kill Luke. Even in ESB, Vader doesn't want to kill Luke and obviously does care about him to some extent, which is why he wants to overthrow the emperor to rule with his son (to avoid killing Luke). These comics create a very welcome addition to the story, but it made perfect sense without them.

@@DarthDragmire Yeah wasn't random at all. He met his son, who he never knew existed from his love Padme. Watched him grow into a Jedi, refuse to kill him and then Anakin sat and watched as Palpatine tried to destroy his own bloodline....
The story of Anakin Skywalker is the best mainstream story in the past 30 years. It will forever be dented into the history of western art.

It's sad that the only thing that stopped Darth Vader from slaying the Emperor and returning to seek forgiveness from Obi-wan was that he couldn't face all of the carnage that he was corrupted into committing. Even though he was basically the embodiment of "Lawful Evil", there seems to have always been that little sliver of light still inside of him. All it took was for his son, who he had only met a handful of times, to ask for his help in a time of need and suddenly Anakin came back. The Chosen One died with blue eyes.

Saints Row is tons of fun! Different to the other 4 games I have which is nice!
Super Mario 3D All Stars, well how could I not get this! I played Galaxy 2 when I was younger and it was amazing, so having galaxy 1 which I never played, especially on portable is AWESOME. Never played sunshine, and played a little of 64 as a kid with friends so that one is also nostalgic.
Lego Harry Potter has been fun at times, and the music is really nice to hear. I got it half price, once I complete it I won't play again as it's not the most fun game, but there has been fun stuff so far. I'm on the 4th movie at the moment in the game :D
Mario Kart speaks for itself, who doesn't love this game?! :D You must have online with this game, its the best way to play it!

What is painfully annoying for me about that Jedi, is that he could have ended vadar on the mountain.

I say it be one where in the start you choose from iconic star wars sith. Vader, Dooku, Maul, even plagueis would be amazing. Then you play an epic campaign as them. Slaughtering younglings, you know, the usual sith stuff
But really, playing as Vader and all you can hear is his breathing down a dark hallway, or Vader on mustafar with lava exploding in the background. Please EA.

Love it how even jocasta paid for her hubris, her pride cost her potentially the entire order that could have possibly taken a stand against the empire, if she had just left, they could have started again, but it was over before it began
Imagine all the pain anakin went through. He got all his remaining limbs chopped off, the he was burned alive head to toe searing his lungs and basically blinding him, then he goes through sn agonizing surgery to be put in a suit that also causes him pain and lastly gets hit with force lightning from sidious of all people... to say that his transformation to Vader was that of fire is a dramatic understatement... he went through about as much pain as it is possible to go through and then just stands up and basically walks it off only to not terribly long after enter into pitched combat whith a jedi before even truly getting use to the new suit AND without a lightsaber... to say darth Vader is a beast just doesn't cut it..he's an unstoppable force of nature right up until he meets his son...

The story of corrupting a kyber crystal is so perfect. Another transformation for the Sith. Never seen it in another SW media. Gives a nice touch to the process of getting a sith weapon.

It’s sad how Vader still pursued Padme after her death and his defeat and transformation. The world and himself is completely different from what she loved. If he were to bring her back what would he do, what would she do and feel? He changed the world to save her but the world he destroyed was Padme and Padme was that world.
At the end it showed that even if he could bring padme back (which seems possible since momin came back) she would rather die than be with what Anakin has become. The way she kills herself in the comic is probably a reference to how she gave up on life after she realized Anakin became a monster.

This could be the best Star Wars Movie yet, Vader- A Dark Tale
There are enough derailed side stories as it is... It's a clusterfuck.
Star Wars became big because of one story and 6 movies, now there's 12 movies if not more, countless series and an infinite amount of comics branching out in different perspectives and different timelines creating a greater clusterfuck than it already is.
I haven't even watched Rouge One or Solo because they don't change anything... Those are just movies to milk your wallet.
Throughout the first 6 movies we followed the story of the Jedi and how they fell and rise, if they should create something it's the view from the Sith during that same time period... Preferably with another 6 movies to match the original 6. This video above is a good example of the idea I'm aiming for, but we do not want another dedicated movie to a character, that's milking your wallet.
But, Disney is Disney and fuckt it up good and there's no turning back now. If George Lucas was still alive he would probably have stopped Disney from ruining his work, cuz he cared for the story, Disney does not, they only care for their sales hence why you suddenly see cute crystal foxes in "The Last Jedi" for example.
... Fuck starwars, Disney screwed up.
@@z1mt0n1x2 George Lucas is alive. He sold Star Wars for 4 billion dollars. And out of all the people who worked on the original trilogies I think George understood why people liked them the least. His original vision for A New Hope was a disaster. The fact that he is alive and sold his property, fully aware that Disney would ruin it, completely removes any semblance of idea that he cared for the story at all.
I love how vader does not have a thought bubble in the comics. It is just poetic.

Comic 1: Vader and Palps on Coruscant: takes place at the same time the Bad batch/Clone Force 99 go into hiding after escaping Kamino, long after Ahsoka and Rex bury their contingent of the 501st clone troopers, and Obi-wan is hiding on Tatooine and Cal Kestis is hiding on Bracca.
Comics 2-5: The Mid-rim outpost with the Clones and then Vader's quest for his kyber crystal: takes place at the time Project War Mantle under Admiral Rampart is up and running as he supervises the nationalization/takeover of the Cloning Technology on Kamino and the shutdown of the facilities there. This takes place alongside the Bad Batch who on are the run and doing mercenary jobs in s1. When Vader goes back to Coruscant at the end of comic 5, this is his first meeting with Governor Tarkin since his turn to the dark side and his subsequent rebirth as a Sith. Project Star Dust AKA The Death Star construction is now underway with Tarkin supervising the project closely alongside Director Krennic and Imperial Science Officer Galen Erso.
Comics 6-10: Probably occurring at the same time as the s1 finale of the Bad Batch and going beyond that time frame by a few weeks. The formation of the Inquisitorius and the training of these dark side force wielders. The Jocasta Nu chase/fight.
Comics 11-12: Takes place a few months, possibly several, after the incident on Coruscant with Jocasta Nu. That means it's almost half a year since ROTS.
Comics 13-17: Officially three years after ROTS, with Vader firmly secure in his position as he and his inquisitors continue hunting down the Jedi survivors while Emperor Palpatine wishes to expand the Empire's operations across the galaxy = The Stormtrooper corps is now officially up and running with the last batches of Clones fighting alongside Human recruits; The Imperial Navy is now using Imperial Class I and II Corellian Star Destroyers.
Comics 18-20: 18 takes place a few months after Comics 13-17; 19 & 20 take place a few weeks or months after 18.
Comics 21-23: Follow straight after the previous comics by maybe a day or two. THEN a few weeks pass by with Vader now working with Momin. Gradually, a few months pass by as Vader's patience wears out with Momin. After some time, it's now been 4 yrs. since ROTS.
Comics 24 & 25: After this, we can get into Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order which occurs a year later after these comics. Also, the visions Darth Vader had when he entered the Dark Side locus portal on Mustafar - - put him on the path to pursuing his goal of bringing Padme back from the death and also planting the seeds of suspicion in his mind about the fate of Ahsoka Tano. So quite possibly, 4yrs after ROTS, this is when Vader chose to visit the planet where Ahsoka and Rex crash-landed in the s7 series finale of The Clone Wars and investigate the wreckage of the downed Republic Venator.
Also, this is speculation, but the Vader Immortal VR video game series may have taken place after this.
