My opinion on the three movies:
    ANH: A freaking masterpiece
    TESB: A freaking masterpiece
    ROTJ: A freaking masterpiece
I mean, what else can I say about this trilogy that hasn't been said already?

So, some of you might be looking over at that bell icon confused out of your mind and might be wanting an explanation. Well, the video was blocked, and I got stuck in a nasty cycle of RUclips directing me to the offending section which I would alter accordingly before uploading it again only for RUclips to direct me to another part that was causing the video to be blocked yet again. I've actually spent more time going though all of this than editing the video itself.
Anywho, I've been looking forward to this for a while. I actually started writing the scripts around a year ago. Originally, this was all going to be one video. However, the script, and by extension, the voice over became absurdly long so I decided to split it up into parts. Hope you all enjoy and may the force be with you.

You're obsessed with Star Wars? [Looks at Rogue Squadron retrospective] I had no idea, lol. In all seriousness, this was a good retrospective. I'm usually put off by reviews that put all three movies in one review and only speak about each movie for five minutes, but you managed to say a lot with so little time and it was pretty refreshing interpretations of the more notable plot points, regardless. I even liked how you were fair to the Special Editions, not without criticisms but not without praise either.

Congrats on 1,000+ subs! I discovered your channel through the Pac-man world videos and those criticising the mindset of Nintendo fanboys. You offer quite a unique perspective on these topics, and it was refreshing to see someone set the record straight on innovation and how hyperbole can cloud the truth when it comes to who did what first. Ultimately it doesn't matter as long as its implementation is successful. As a critical fan of Nintendo's work, it's very important to me that more people are as honest with themselves as you are about where they succeed and fail, rather than either running to a game's defense just because they're fine with it or denouncing it as trash just to be a contrarian.
Your videos were also what got me to cave in and finally get the first two Pac-man World games (the first of which I luckily found bundled on ebay with Ms. Pac-man's Maze Madness), and I'm glad I did. Both those games, as well as Klonoa and Katamari, remind me that, when they want to be, Namco can give us some of the most well-crafted and joyful experiences outside of the norm.
Here's to a bright future, more videos, and hopefully less bs with RUclips's funky policies.

1:00 when you started explaining how you got introduced to Star Wars. It reminded me on how mundane/boring my introduction to the series was. One day many years ago when my family used to live in double house (I don't care if isn't what its called) with my family living on the upper level. The other family of which we got to know very well. Had their own collection of the Star Wars series (back when there was only six movies) and a lot of Star Wars toys. Apparently the boys didn't like the movies or the toys and they just dumped them on me. Been a Star Wars fan ever since!

"back when there was only six movies".....lol, some of us remember before 1999. When there was only 3 movies. And before that, there are those that remember when the first movie came out in 1977.

If I had the time and resources, I'd do a retrospective similar to this.
Mainly because I actually would add some new perspectives on these films.
As for my ranking from worst to best (excluding Solo)
9- The Last Jedi (the only below average film in the Saga I have seen, and I have a feeling Rise of Skywalker might rival it)
8- Attack of the Clones (it's just ok)
7- Phantom Menace (flawed, but it has it's strong points)
6- Force Awakens ( decent, but overrated)
5- Revenge of the Sith (good watch, but rough around the edges)
4- Rouge One (same as the last one)
    3- New Hope (a classic)
2- Empire Strikes Back (a great sequel, but a little over praised to the point where it's biggest scene has no weight to it anymore)
1- Return of the Jedi (My favorite movie of all time)

    • @occam7382
      @occam7382 9 месяцев назад

Excluding the Sequels (because I don't see them as real Star Wars) my ranking from best to worst would be:
      1. Revenge Of The Sith (an absolute masterpiece in cinema and political commentary, probably George Lucas' magnum opus other than The Clone Wars)
      2. Return Of The Jedi (another masterpiece, only barely edged out as an excellent concluding trilogy chapter)
      3. A New Hope (Instant classic. 'Nuff said)
      4. Attack Of The Clones (Great middle chapter, sets up the finale in a great way. Plus, who doesn't love the 1st Battle of Geonosis?)
      5. The Phantom Menace (Still as awesome as the first. Sets up the universe of Star Wars and the story of the Skywalker Saga quite well)
      6. The Empire Strikes Back (Amazing movie, but it is the one that most diverges from George's style of filmmaking)
      7. Rogue One (Fanfiction, but decent fanfiction all the same)
