Great video! This helped me do this today with a minimum of cursing. My 2002 Stepwgn had a cover over the solenoid, and was a bit of a bear to remove - so many parts and sensors had to come off to access it. I used a bent safety pin to connect the multimeter. I just cleaned and recalibrated the solenoid and will see if it holds. I was getting the p1022 code for low idle speed. Also mine did not have a replaceable gasket for the throttle body, it was a rubber one. Thanks again!

Hi, I have a honda civic lxi 1998 which I had cleaned its throttle body, dis assembling it except for the tps sensor. I left ir intact on the throttle body cause it's sensitive. After cleaning and assembly, I tried to start the engine but it won't. The starter motor works but the engine won't crank. And I noticed the engine check light is on when switch to acc and after cranking the engine then it turn off when I stopped. Is there any remedy for this than going to a professional mechanic whose service fee is expensive... I really appreciate for your help, thank you

Hi great video! Question for you. I was adjusting my TPS and got it to an exact 5.0 but when I open full throttle it shows 4.59. Would this be acceptable as I have adjusted many times but cant seem to get an exact 4.50 for this sensor. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

So what if it's .5 and only goes to 4.1 wide open? 03 honda civic... would that be the MAP? Because after installing at the above readings the tps code cleared but threw up P1106 Baro circuit/range performance.
My K20 has the same problem, I found out with an ELM 327 that TPS is the problem. So I am going to test the current TPS to get sure before buying a new one.

I have FORD Lynx model 2006, it will surge when the accel pedal is slightly depress or when I quickly push the pedal it will REV but go down immediately after. I replaced the TPS with a brandnew one but the problem still exist. But when I tried removing the TPS , the engine can still REV. It suggest the engine can work without TPS .
