for the beginners, get some type of sowing pins and insert them behind the connector. Go on the outer part of the seal to not damage it. Make sure you push it in all the way.
Been having horrible gas mileage. Absolute Throttle Position reads 9.4% on OBD ll scanner. (2004 Honda Civic LX 1.7 Sedan). Going to go through the steps outlined in. your video so I can figure out if the TPS is the problem or a symptom. Thank you for a clear explanation.
First I would double check that your multimeter works are you are definitely contacting the wires correctly. If yes, then something is probably wrong with the TPS.
@@nefariousracing Yes, as the power supply shows 5 volts, but the sensor is 3.35. The car recently started to turn off when I am slowing down such as stop for traffic signal. Doesn't accelerate as usual.
0.6V should be normal. Try to clean the throttle & butterfly valve, some gunk there. It could be self relearn to compensate for reduce air flow for a good idling.
Nice vid bro! No BS just how to do it with a great explanation
Glad it helped!
Big thank you for this sharing this know how! Solved a jerking problem for me as my tps was @ .25 idle 4.25 WOT. Runs so much smoother now!
Awesome glad to hear it helped!
Thank you brother!!!!! Your explanation in the process was sooo easy to understand!!!!!! Thank you!!!!
You're welcome!

It's likely the TPS is playing a part in that. Hope you got it sorted.
Great video great content very easy understandable 👍
Thanks Peter, glad it was helpful.
Should the reading be at .5 instead of .77 when it's closed?
0.5V
What does it mean if it doesn’t change when you are at WOT
I’m at .7 idle and it doesn’t change when WOT
@@BrandoInIowa Is the reading changing at all as you open the throttle?
@@nefariousracing no not at all
@@BrandoInIowa Sounds like you need a new TPS.
@@nefariousracing I’ll replace it and comment back to see if it was the problem
Thanks 👍
My reading is 3.35 and doesn’t change when I adjust the ideal?

@@zozotv3665Very likely the TPS is faulty then.
On closed i got 0.43
All the way open 4.60
Is that okay?
Yeah that should be fine, a little bit of variance is normal.
I am testing a 2000 honda civic lx and its showing 0.6 on idle with tps. Is that normal?
