- In this video, I'm showing you how to setup the Steelseries Arctis Nova Pro using Streamlabs on MacOS. This is a brand new setup for the Arctis Nova Pro which you can use on PS5, Xbox!

Nice video bro!!! Thanks for showing the people how to set this up. And it’s really nice that all the cables don’t have to come out of your control. Btw, if the audio is low on chat link method you can add a gain filter to the audio source to make it louder.
Appreciate it bro, oh yeah forgot about that but the audio wasn’t that low cause these headset sound great with 3D audio and that method I showed is easy and simple I’m glad you don’t gotta plugged to the controller

@@kidman104 I used wired but either one works all depends on which you would like to use! And your budget the wireless is a little more then wired

I’m using an external audio interface ( focusrite 4th gen 2i2 ) that connected to my laptop , I just bought the new elgato 4k x capure card , everything is working just fine when i connect it to my ps5 for streaming except for the party chat ( proximity chat ) , how do i use the same microphone that connected to the audio interface for the game party chat so they can hear me through the same mic do i need chat link pro ? If so i believe that it should be connected to my controller in this case I won’t be able to use the same mic and headset that are both connected to my audio interface that is connected to my laptop, I have been struggling for 3 days i really appreciate if you could help me 🙏🏻
@@jalalalqazwini6435 yeah the chat link pro works but when you use that you don’t plug nothing to the controller, all through the computer and the capture card and interface

@@jalalalqazwini6435 when you do it, the chat link pro cable is suppose to be connected to the capture card and the interface if you plug to the controller then you won’t get all your audio but with this method your listening to the audio through the computer instead of
@@CraytonTv unfortunately it didn’t work , there is no way to use the audio interface microphone for the ps5 chat party it works only by the controller or seperated mic that is connected to console or headset , thats the only way!

Are you able to listen to PC and PS5 at the same time??
@@hugohub7004 yes you are, you connect the gamedac and headset to your pc and listen to your audio that way.

I just want to be able to hear my alerts while stream and hear my party chat/game audio at the same time. I see on a Reddit it says you can but I’m not sure.
@@hugohub7004 you can, but you have to connect the gamedac to the PC and listen to your audio over HDMI but if you want to hear your Party chat you plug in the Elgato chatlink cable pro to your gamedac and capture card nothing to the controller cause it will mute your audio

I was using the chat link but idk what happened but now I only hear from the left side of my Steele series headphones and the mic doesn’t work do you know my problem it’s mind boggling and I’m stuck help please 🙏🏾
Did you turn down your volume! And whatever streaming software you are using look at your audio mixer to make sure your chat link cable and headset is pulling audio and the meters are jumping.
The only way I’ve found is to set up the headset regularly and then sign in on a guest account with another ps5 controller and run the chat link from the controller to the capture card to receive audio and be able to use the game dac, nothing else works
I wouldnt do that, cause when you plug to the controller using the chat link cable it cuts your audio out, and you want to run the chat link cable differently, but if that’s works for you understandable! But I’m doing a follow up step by step guide for this video showing it works the other way! With audio coming through and party chat.
dang wish you use the elgato hd 60 pro 4k mk2 card i dont use usb i had so much lag and video was 10 min behind
Yeah I don’t own a PC but the setup process should be the same, but was you able to fix your issue

@@CraytonTv I’m just trying to stream on my macbook air m3, I’ve copied almost the full setup from @midnightmans video, Chatlink pro, Macbook, Fifine mic, OBS, Ps5, HD60x Game capture and a BRIO logitech webcam. The only thing i’m missing would be the headset because i bought the game dac separately not knowing i needed to get the headset as well 💔 I did a test stream last night but my lord my gameplay audio through OBS was terrible everything else was fine. I just thought using the game dac and my pulse 3d headphones would work but no 😣
Coming from a Windows set up. Basically follow his wireless method. DAC to PC through USB. Line Out also to PC. No additional software needed. Its not 100% ideal but it definitely works with zero lag/latency and spatial audio stays intact. Thank you so much brother

Well how do you have the headset setup for the audio to come through, also the charging noise cause you hear the electric from the battery need a ground isolator

Yes you can do it with the wireless one also,
You do not plug the headset into the chatlink plug it into the Dac for headset
Yeah I know, that’s what I said in the video, you have to plug your chat link cable to the gamedac to get party chat to come through so you can talk on stream other then that it won’t work for party chat especially on PlayStation

When I plug my aux cable into my arctis nova 7p from my elgato chatlink on my ps5 chat i cant hear any sound coming from the headsets and it also mutes my mic
Does your 7p come wit a mix amp or gamedac cause you suppose to plug the chat link cable to that and then to the computer

@@CraytonTv with my older models I didn’t need a gamedac the Steelseries arctis 7p
@@greengray45 ok with the Arctis 7p you suppose to connect the chatlink cable to the capture card, and your headset to the chat link cable and if you are using macOS make sure you have the capture device utility downloaded from Elgato website and switch it to analog audio so they audio comes through

@@Jaystpatrick awesome you made a good decision, so use the back of the usb port for PS5 and plug to a PC / Mac use usb c port but make sure you update the headset first with Steelseries GG software
@@CraytonTvhere’s my question Brody! It just came in today. Does it allow you to hear the audio from BOTH inputs simultaneously? I have it set up and I’m able to swap audio sources. I’m trying to hear my PC stream audio from the headset. One is connected to the P5, the other is connected to the PC
@@Jaystpatrick I would connect it too the PC and listen to your PS5 audio over HDMi through the capture card cause the headset allows you to listen simultaneously but PlayStation don’t a feature they still have blocked
I need this but I need it for pc. I’m trying to get arctic nova pro wireless set up on pc. I have a mic for streaming so I just want the headset for chat with groups and sound from game and I want the chat from headset to record on stream. Anyone have any idea on how to get this set up on pc?
Yeah same steps as it is on Mac just do the same thing on PC, download Steelseries GG software and you can download Sonar software also from Steelseries website, and what mics are you using ?

Ok so plug your mic to the computer that’s what you will use for stream chat, your chat link cable plug that too the gamedac in the back to the line out port then connect your headset to that, then on your console set your mic to headset or if you have a second mic set it to that

Yeah with PC it’s much easier & you get more features other then SteelSeries GG, you also get the ability to download Sonar also to unlock more features for the headset
So would I plug my other mic which is the Elgato Wave 3 into my Mac or PS5 for people in party chat and game chat to hear me ?
@@IoanaMcmahon plug the gamedac to the PS5 using the chat link cable and the wave mic to your computer for the commentary audio

A couple feet away . It just sound like it’s doubled when I press record in obs. I don’t know if it’s supposed to be different when I stream.

@@ShyneBlaze if you are talking to party chat gotta use a chat link cable but you can stream without a chat link cable all your audio will done over hdmi and through the computer and gamedac
Currently right now I have the chat link from the dock to my Elgato am I missing a step?
@@ShyneBlaze nope make sure the chat link cable is plugged into the back of the line in port then plug the other in to the capture card and your headset into the chat link cable. Don’t plug to the controller it will eliminate your audio
The chat link method just does not work at all lol, the only method that’s usable is to just use the headset without the game dac, which completely makes it pointless to use this headset

@@CraytonTv oh as in the headset your using im trying to find ways to cut back on the cords if possible and wanted to try wireless. my current headset is busted in the right cant hear anything

@zaya14. Yeah you can use wireless headset with OBS or Streamlabs just as long as they can connect to your computer it will work fine, but there or ways to get the party chat to work with wireless or wired connections

I still can't get this to work. I've got all pf the setting the correct way but as soon as I plug my headset in I can no longer use the mic for game chat

@@HambinoGaming_ are streaming, and on the gamedac did you set it too stream and where you got your headset mic plugged too
I had it working to osme extent a few times without chatlink but I just got chatlink in and thought that would fix everything but I'm starting to think I wasted my money on it
@@HambinoGaming_ if your streaming you need to use the chat link cable and make sure it’s setup correctly and if your using PS5 you have to use since Sony has the only way for audio to come through
@@CraytonTv I've got the long cable to the capture card, the short cable to the game DAc and the female plugged into the cable that came with my wireless headset into my headset. When I do that, My mic isn't receiving audio on the PS5. When I go to test it it isn't receiving input. I'm trying to use my mic for party chat, hear game chat, and talk to my stream at the same time

Yes you can. You have to plug to the line out port on the game dac and make sure you setup on the usb side to plug to the back of the PlayStations, also make sure you disable HDCP on the PlayStation settings so you can get the capture card to work

oka i have the chatlink plug into my elgato s+ and than the short side in the game dac lineout and than the audio wire to the chatlink and than to the headset but than theres no audio coming out on my obs
@@TheRealMacostaiBabaYaga ok cool that’s setup correctly and if you are using a Mac computer make sure you have that Elgato Capture Device Utility downloaded and have it set to Analog audio then inside of OBS your mixer settings properties for the Elgato audio input have that set to monitor and output

Yes 🙌🏽 get the Xbox version rather it’s wireless or wired they will work on PC, Max, Xbox, PS5 and Nintendo Switch, the ones I have are the Xbox version, so if you own a Xbox and PS5 you can use the same headset, one port plugs into Xbox on the gamedac the other port says usc c that’s for PS5, Mac, PC & Switch
If you do the wireless method will it still pick up your chat audio if your in a chat ?

Can't lie I'm still not getting any audio in the headset I've been struggling for the past week and I still can't sort it
Did you setup it up correctly, cause the headphone jack port plugs into the back of the gameDac not the side and the gameDac needs to be plugged into the Mac and make sure you update the headset also
@@CraytonTv by connecting the usb c cable to the mac right? If so I’ve done that. But I haven’t updated my headset. So I might have to update it.
when I plug the headset into the chat link pro cable all I get is a fuzzy sound
@@natcampbell5774 yes connect it to the Mac, and make sure you download SteelSeries GG software there is a awesome update out now

On windows it’s more easier and plug and play especially after it’s downloaded

@@CraytonTv I don’t have chat link pro so I ordered a trs to Trs cable to connect my dac and elgato and then also ordered a ground loop isolater only issue I’m thinking I may have is chat link pro has an extra output to plug into I hope I can figure it out with a similar method. Not sure if you could help with my limited knowledge on this if I still have issues I’ll comeback in a few hours when they arrive, appreciate the help

Where does the other end of the aux cord goes connected to ? The headset or the pc ?
For the wireless option ?
@@ItsOmare_ one to the headset and the other to the gameDac in the back that way your audio can all come through, which headset you get the PlayStation one or Xbox

No you don’t need it, you can use the Elgato chat link cable I just choose to use a two mic setup

So if I'm live streaming with the Artics Nova all I need is the chat link cable for people to hear me in the stream and in game? I don't need an extra mic like the AT2020 ?
No you still will need a extra mic, that mic is plug to your computer so your stream can hear you, and the chat link cable is so people in your party can hear you and the stream can hear them and the game
@@CraytonTv On my artic Nova I just have usb 1 and usb 2 I plug usb 1 into the pc and usb 2 into the ps5. Then chatlink from the gamedacs out directly to the capture card. Then your mic works in both the pc and ps5 and chat/game is transferred using the elgato chatlink
