Tbh coming from the HyperX Cloud II wired these sounded horrible, even when I adjusted the EQ settings in Sonar. The sound in Call Of Duty and other games sounded so stale, like I could hear footsteps but couldn't pin point exactly where they were it was only "oh he is in this general direction". I ended up returning them and going with the beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO 250 ohm version with a DAC/Amp and the sound quality is literally 100x better. Don't get me wrong if you don't care much about the sound quality and more about the wireless factor and the features this headset is great.
Idk man, I feel like it way just you, I got these arctis 9 to use for now until I can return them for the nova 7 and on MW2 with sonar eq for mw2 they sound amazing for competitive gaming. Im pretty sure youre not suppose to use it for "amazing immersion" but for exact locational footsteps which are 10/10 with this headset
I mean...obviously high ohm wired headphones with a dedicated DAC/amp are going to sound better. I don't care how much money you spend on a wireless set a decent wired headphone is going to be miles ahead.
Hello sir. Can you please tell me what I need to do to adjust the headset sound settings for playing Call of Duty on PS5? Can I still use the sonar on console or atleast go adjust sound EQ for it in my laptop that will then apply to the headset on console? I’m having trouble hearing footsteps in Warzone with the out of box sound settings.
I am currently using the steelseries arctis nova 7 purely because of the convenience of sound quality and simultaneous connectivity (bluetooth and 2.4Ghz). The major problem I have with them is the audio crackles a lot especially if it gets too high but it also happens sometimes even when the audio is pretty low. I need a pair of headphones where I can game on my PC whilst also talking to my friends on a PS party (unless I can somehow join a ps party from my PC). I play games such as Overwatch 2, Fortnite, COD MW2 and valorant so footsteps and game immersion are pretty important for me. My budget is around £150 but it can be increased. Also, can anyone explain how to fix these crackling noises I find on my Nova 7s and does anybody know any good EQ settings (on Steelseries Engine as I also game on PS5) for the games I have mentioned. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks!

Literally?
@@kennymccormick8295 Literally bro, sound was bad.
@@Im_SSJay idk man, my dt 770 pros are miles better than those
I mean...obviously high ohm wired headphones with a dedicated DAC/amp are going to sound better. I don't care how much money you spend on a wireless set a decent wired headphone is going to be miles ahead.
I’ve essentially narrowed it down to the corsair hs80 max and these ones, any input is appreciated
I'd go for these personally. More flexible. Not as comfortable but more device compatible and lots to like.
Can you change the settings for it to hear footsteps better for ps5 or can you only change them on PC ??
Does this work on xbox and switch?
Any way to switch between configurations from the headsets themselves
How do they compare to the new nova 5 headphones?
Would you recommend these or the arctis nova pro wireless headsets?
I'm doing that video soon 👍
W video thanks , idk if this or Hyper X is better
this
I want the PC version because they are all black but I am playing on PS five doesn’t matter or should I get the PS five version?
How is the mic monitoring?
Can u use this headset with a dongle in the pc and Bluetooth on ps4 because I want to play on my pc but still talk to friends on ps4 party chat
Will the Mic sound better on PC if it’s plugged in?
How do the new lower tier nova 4 compare to these? If its worth to pay extra for these or get nova 4 for cheaper instead?
This or the razer blackshark v2 pro 2023?
I just bought mine. I cannot access the engine software any ideas why?
I just got the hs80 wireless and was wondering if there is another headset that has better sound quality and a better mic in the same price range.
The HS80 has one of the best wireless microphones going. Only competition I’ve heard is the BlackShark V2 Pro 2023 edition but that’s more expensive.
Can I get a tutorial on setting up rodecaster with Nova Pro Wireless or wired

@TheProvokedPrawn absolute legend love your content mate a voice I could listen to for hours haha
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks!
I've not heard any crackling. Are you sure that's not faulty?
@@TheProvokedPrawn I bought the 7x aswell and mine crackles too. brand new pair not faulty. I’m going to get the rig headset steelseries arnt loud enough. And sound bugs in games I’ve had nothing but problems with the 7x
@@BazzaQlapsxI have not experienced any sort of crackling at all. I use my headphones on high volume most of the time. I have never heard a single crackle. Might want to contact the manufacturer
I have question for you. Do you have problems connecting your headset via bluetooth? Also, do you have problems disconnecting your headset from your PS5?
I thought I was the only one, I noticed that it crackles really bad when I have music playing and when it's full volume when my music is lower, it doesn't crackle. When you crackle does your voice sound laggy? I've been told I sound like a robot or someone with a poop internet connection
Hi guys, I have the problem that when I join a party on the Playstation 5, the others hear me very quietly. I reconnect the USB cable every time. Then the station reconnects and they hear me. Is there a solution to this?
Can I connect these to my new iPhone 12 i was gunna buy a used pair got a good deal on them
I don't have a PC so is there a way to get the best quality sound from this headset on PS5?
Hello how to save sonar setting on headset to use on Xbox ?
What headset would you recommend for ps5
Can I turn off mic monitoring?
I’ve been getting bad reviews from other speakers online they’ve been saying it sounds bad and loud
Do you know how I’d be able to fix this?
THIS? or Logitech G Pro X2 Wireless ?? .. im looking for great sound quality for single player games .. which one is more immersive?
also .. comforts ofcourse
I'd probably go with Logitech for comfort and sound. Especially if single player games are more your thing. ruclips.net/video/FgaC8ETroJk/видео.html
Just got these about a week ago and haven’t been able to find a solid answer regarding how to tell when its fully charged. I game on my PS5 and I charged them for about an hour and the led light blinked green before I decided to disconnect them. Is that what is supposed to do once they’re done charging?
Green means full and yellow means it needs more charging? That’s what I’m assuming. I only got mine today so I’ll have a look into it
@@elvin6065 After charging them multiple times since I first got them I figured out that you need to wait until the green light stops blinking, it will actually turn off once its completely charged.
I bought the 7P version to use on the computer. But there is a hissing sound coming from the headphones. Do they all have this problem?
P is for PlayStation
Can we use this particular headset with Microsoft Teams and Zoom?
Yes
This or PC38X?
As an Xbox user how do I customize sounds for certain games and apply them to my Xbox. I’ve simply paired the headset with the Xbox and the sound quality is extremely disappointing
You have to set an EQ on the Steelseries software on PC and save it to the headset. The EQ you save will work on console then.
now i am quite confused which one to choose between steelseries arcic nova 7 and razer barracuda x, which one is better thanks 😢
I've not tried the Barracuda X but this is a great headset
@@TheProvokedPrawn ok bro thanks for the lightning rep 👍🤣
Do you think i should go this or HS80? im looking for double duties and only pc use
The only good thing about hs80 is the mic.. everything about it is trash. Especially the audio
@@laxuscloud2495 why everything? its solid, comfy, audio is good with eq
@@aliahmedov4674 then you never heard better headset than that. The mic is pretty much its saving grace. You can look up all the reviews from trusted reviewers esp the technical ones.. there are better headsets than that but. If you bought it for the mic , Then my argument is invalid.
black shark v2 pro 2023 also same as steel series nova 7 but it has 70 hrs of battery and both are same price so black shark is better to get
do you have to use the dongle on pc?
For wireless yes
@@TheProvokedPrawn thanks, i was worried i wouldnt be able to plug it into my pc because i dont have usb c but then you showed how it has that adapter. Thank you, great video!
Would these be an upgrade over the RIG 700hx?
Oh definitely ive had those headphones before too but I recommend getting the nova 7x model since its more cateres toward the xbox
@Elated Glint well I went with the nova 7 for my pc gaming. But since they can be used for xbox as well I figured I'd let my nephew have my RIGs
Are these more or less comfortable than Corsair HS80?
I just got the HS80 and they are so uncomfortable and painful I just can’t stand them even if I love their looks
I suppose that depends on why you think they're uncomfortable. I found both comfortable but there might be more room in the Nova earcups though
@@TheProvokedPrawn first of all thanks for your answer and congrats for this channel because it’s amazing!
I believe the issue is that the HS80 have absolutely no “extensible” parts, which is a bit insane to me. I bought them because I was 100% sure they would be, but my mistake for not researching before getting them.
I’m a bit mad because I really like them actually, I wish they wouldn’t hurt my ears that much
14:12 damnnn.. my headsets became dual shock 😮😂
Do they work with ps5?
7x ye. (It works on Xbox, PC, smartphone and Playstation).
does this work on xbox and pc
7x is for xbox, 7p is for playstation, everyone buys the 7x because it works both ways
Sound is horrible. Worse than Pulse 3D. Returned them. Very flat sound no depth, no bass. EQ didnt help from recommendded settings i found.
Man, I've seen some people saying that the audio is much better than pulse 3D...
@@Nacional-Socialismoit is way better lmao. I have both and the pulse sound terrible compared to these. Dude probably has it set to microphone audio instead of game audio in windows
@@Cheatman5 😂😂😂 Your response was amazing. Really, he must have set up the microphone or he must be a Sony fan. I also have an arctis nova 7x, it's amazing.
Is this a nova pro ad?
@@Hyroto-h9m it's called opinion. People have them
Do the eq settings carry over to ps5
Do you know how to transfer it from pc to Ps5 cause I'm dumb
The sound is to low for me, no matter what I do, played with the app etc :(
they better then Cloud 2 i play mostly FPS games Valorant/CSGO2/Overwatch and footsteps track need to know
Can i go with them to the gym?
Hey how you doing, so i currently have a pair of steelseries 7p+ and im looking for an upgrade/change
I mostly play call of duty and currently have the
Hyperx cloud 2 wireless
Corsair hs80
And steelseries artic nova 7p wireless
In my cart
Which one do you consider as an upgrade and a recommendation
Which ones did you end up getting ?
@@Jeff_Sigmon nbs i ended up getting the blackshark v2 pro 2023 edition but i want something else since the mic on it its great but the sound is not loud enough, they’re ok but i want something else, if you’re on pc i highly recommend iems over any headset
@@MikeForeign I have the hyper x cloud 3’s but thinking about trying the steel series arctic nova 7’s . I have ps5 and mainly play fps games so need to hear foot steps
@@Jeff_Sigmon try putting the audio to “tv” in mw3 if you play it, it boost the footsteps more. I think the problem with these headsets in console might be in the wireless feature, i heard the wire version are much louder and that can definitely help better, but of course we want wireless lmao
Power button tends to broke so quickly, keep in mind.
Well over a year later and mine is still working just fine.
@@TheProvokedPrawn It happened to me at 2nd year. See you in a year and let me know!😀
@@abellotix that's hardly quick is it?
THIS WORKS ON PS5 RIGHT?
Yes.
What good is that, that you can pull out the side of the headphone?
Im planning to buy a $20 faulty(doesn’t charge) steelseries nova 7.
Would I still be able to use it through the 3.5mm jack?
Unfortunately, every driver update creates issues with Windows11. Dont attempt to use them with Discord, as it creates more issues with the mic. All work arounds need to be applied after every Discord update. I have a Steel Engine Gaming computer, which I thought would be compatible with the Arctis Nova 7... After a year of glitchy usage, fishbowl echo, blue tooth issues, and Discord incompatibilities, the system compatibility was moot point. Hard Pass on the Headset.
im too dumb for this head set i hear my self when i have the mic turnt on
