I always thought that this could be a decent pick for someone that wants a good headset that works good for gaming and for music consumption. Also as an Xbox player not a lot of the other examples work fully with Xbox so I see this as a good deal specially if I get them later in a discount.

Audio quality on the Steelseries is pure shit and, unlike claimed in the video, I did not notice ANY improvement to the older wireless Steelseries headsets... I had such high hopes for the Steelseries, but they don't learn, just like with their mice...
I LOVE my Nova Pro Wireless, but I gotta say: This isn't ballpark-level. The noise cancelling is multiple continents away even from the ANC used in Sony WH1000 XM2 headphones... Let alone later models.

Patiently waiting for the GoXLR x Nova Pro's video, I need it so much to figure it out how to use everything properly, as well as the mic, thanks for this video btw, I bought them few days ago and love them ever since!
@NorsemanPatriot I personally know about that since I owned a pair of Arctis Pro Wireless which broke on me, I also have DT990's and FiiO K5 Pro, but I've put it to rest and switched to these Nova's since they are more convenient for me. If they break again, I will be mad, but at the end of the day, I see them as an investment in my job, so it is what it is
Whoever is sniping on COD look alike they have aimbot, I've seen too many people use this ,that's how I know but I just bought the 2024 version of arctis nova pro and they are out of this world .by far the best headset I've have used, you won't have any problems with audio as it goes so loud and if your playing call of duty you won't even need it on a ten, if you have a quiet game you probably still don't need a ten which is awesome if you habe to adjust in long run .sound is incredible..alot of people had trouble hooking it up ,I did as well but I figured it out within a few hours..put it this way it's right in plain sight..I highly recommend these headsets and it's worth $350... order it at Walmart not at a3rd party seller .the packaging is awesome..I love the smell of new stuff and you can tell it wasn't touched....so many options in this device definitely 10/10 headset..if anyone is taking to you in the room whike thesebare on you wont be able to hear them snd it does cancel out a decent amount of noise even if it didn't the volume is insane so that's not a problem .they fit very snug and has like 3 settings for any size head.....I did my research on what are the best headsets of 2024 and this was on top of the list and they were accurate.. definitely #1..if you are looking for the best I would get this one... no doubt
Don't know if it's been said, but throwing on a replacement set of pads from Wicked Cushions takes away the issue with the little nub, and adds great comfort. I am enjoying the wireless Novas quite a lot, both out and about and when I game.
I went from the Logitech Pro X Wireless headset to the Sennheiser PC38X. Personally I love the sound quality of them, However, losing the wireless capability, and an issue where I have trouble hearing things directly in front of me has left me a tiny bit soured on them. Because of that issue, and the fact that wireless is SO SO SO convenient, it's really making me want to pull the trigger on these. All of the previous wireless flagships that have come out all seem to have some sort of major shortcoming that always feels like a dealbreaker. I have no problem paying up if the quality of the product is good. Thanks for the video, really helpful input!
Your reviews are just so good. Seriously next level. Even for stuff I'm not interested in, I immediately click on your videos when you post them. I've already bought 3 items mostly from your review (virtuoso rgb xt, glorious model d and gmmk board). Keep up the excellent work!
Yeah I wanted to leave a similar comment but think you've nailed it here. This latest video was really great - never feels like I'm being 'sold' anything either, but an authentic review/sharing of a product.
HUGE SHOUTOUTS TO YOU for including the note @ 5:42! I don't usually watch these kinds of reviews all the way through, but I could tell by the quality of your script and how you speak about these that I should stick around for some kind of additional tidbit. Lo and behold, you solved one of my problems with the Arctis 9's! 🙌
Hi Brian, I had a video idea recently about having an audio setup at different budgets, like those PC builds at a specific budget videos. I think it's exciting to see how much, let's say 500$, could get you in terms of audio setup. You can also broaden it out and include keyboards and other peripherals. Anyhow, thank you for these reviews.
Have the Arctis pro wireless right now. Absolutely love it. When it dies I’ll be going for this tbh. Such a nice headset and from the only gaming company I can recommend
Great video. I love my Audeze Penrose. I did have to use after market ear cushions, and I don’t use the mic, but the sound experience is great. I even got an extra cushion to go on the headband to really increase the comfort. I also bought them on Black Friday for $150.00, so I think I got a steal.
I loved my Penrose too. Returned it thinking I don't need wireless, going for an Orbit S (like a rebranded Mobius), but the audio just wasn't the same.
I had the old Arctis Pro Wireless and I loved the wireless part and the swappable batteries. It made things really convenient. However there was a few things that bothered me. First it was the ridiculously short headband. I've never really considered myself as having a big head but obviously I do. Glad to hear they've fixed that. Secondly it was the very noticeable white noise that was constant. It could be somewhat lowered if you turned off the volume boost in the software. But then you pretty much had to keep them at max volume to get descent volume. Having sidetone activated made the white noise slightly more pronounced. I've seen a lot of people having this problem with the old Arctis Pro. Did you notice any of this in your old pair? And if so is it better in the new ones? I appreciate the review, but not sure if I dare to take the leap on wireless gaming audio again after the last pair.
also can confirm about the hiss in old arctis wireless pro. a year of usage, I just got used to it. The pros of this thing FAR outweighs the hiss. Thinking of upgrading to nova to remove the hiss, but those pleather pads is a deal breaker for me.
Sometimes I subscribe to so many Tech Reviewers on RUclips, some get lost in the shuffle. Optimum’s Wooting keyboard review refreshed my memory of your channel. I love your Wooting and this Steelseries reviews. Super clean production. I’m a scroll thru some other vids. Cheers
Thanks for the video! I too used the prior version of the Arctis Pro Wireless and loved it for many reasons, but the comfort was not there for me and sadly I just had to replace it. At the time I vowed that if they created one that was more comfortable, I would buy it. Unfortunately, since that time I have been spoiled by my PC38X open-back headset and I don't think I could go back to a closed-back for gaming now. I wish SteelSeries would somehow make a version of this that was open-back. If they did, I think I might be the first one to order it. My two favorite features of this headset is 1) the wireless ability (of course) and 2) that I could stay connected to my mobile phone while gaming. This was important to me because I would sometimes get important calls during a gaming session which I could easily answer and deal with without any major interruptions to the game.
Fantastic review. I Subscribed half way thru. You directly addressed all the questions I had about this headset. And brought up so many other aspects I hadn't thought of but will now notice and appreciate. Thank you! Also, super nice production of the video. Crisp & clear in every way. Audio and Video... But also all the camera angles, focus, editing. A pleasure to watch. Thanks again! And I'll add, I'm ordering these headphones now. :)
Great review BST. When you asked about Sonor on console, did you mean being able to set the Sonar EQ onto the headset or did you mean Steelseries will actually make the Sonar app available on consoles? Any ETA on that feature? It seems kind of gimped to not have Sonar available on console to launch.
I really, really like the wired one except for the ear pads. Hoping for some breathable options down the road. For pricing, I think the right move would be to release a wired one that doesn't include the DAC, though I have to admit the DAC is quality and does justify the additional cost.
I think I'm gonna pick these up. I love the arctis pro wireless. After my first pair broke apart at the earcup, I was out of warranty by about three months. I messaged steelseries anyway, and they sent me a replacement set. They just had me pull the other earcup out and send them a pic. Didn't even make me send it in. Customer for life.
ive had the novas for about a month now too and they are pretty damn amazing. having been a fan of their headsets for awhile i knew i was going to get quality. but im with you the leather cups need to go. maybe wont be so bad during the winter but right now in the middle of summer im missing those airweave!
Subscribed initially for your keyboard videos (Mammoth75). But as an avid CS Go player, I love your video reviews on these peripherals. Please stay true to yourself! Love from WA state :)
I thought the Virtuoso XT wireless was the best headset on the market but the lack of deep bass made me return it. It just couldn't perform enough especially for the money and I tried tweaking the EQ and got distortion at heavy bass. I'd honestly pay $350 or more for a headset just like the Virtuoso XT that had deeper bass.
Much appreciated. I'm a developer and wear my headphones 8+ hrs/day. My Sony wh-1000xm3's are getting a bit long in the tooth and are being held together with duct tape. I've been curious about high-end gaming headsets and this was a great comparison with a good range of options price-wise!. Much appreciated!
I’ve had the wired version (I prefer wired over wireless, just me) for about a month now and have some hours in with them. I really really dig them. Wicked comfortable, the Dac is cool and easy to use/navigate, work seamlessly, the OS is simple to use, and they sound great. The only thing I miss is the quick inline mute/unmute toggle.
Been using mine for awhile now and I love them. It was uncomfortable with the ANC nub rubbing against my ear at first, but after readjusting over and over for a few days, it got better. Love the sound and all the features that come with it.
I liked this review so much that I watched through all the ads and subbed. We need more of these videos where you compare the product to the competitors and show a real comparison like you did when you spoke through several different "gaming" headset mics to get a nice idea.
I would think $50 is a great deal for the base station over the Sony H9. I wonder why headset makers don't just let the mic get it's own wireless connection. That should eliminate any bandwidth problem. I guess the market for that is just too niche and anyone who cares about mic quality is already using an external wired mic anyways. But a noise floor (i.e. the perpetual hiss when the unit is turned on) is a big no-no for me. My Arctis Pro Wireless had a very audible noise floor that I can hear even through the quieter parts of songs, so I'm very reluctant to ever consider SteelSeries headsets ever again. But their feature sets are right in the center of my strike zone. Right now I'm using my AirPods Max for ANC gaming, wired to my ZEN DAC. I'm probably going to end up getting the Sony H9 and just ignore its mic, because I'm afraid of getting audible noise floor on the Nova Pro Wireless...
I am no expert but corsair wireless mics still sounds the best for me, especially the corsair hs80 wireless mic sounds very good. I cant use this amount of feature (it's confusing to me), but i cant accept this price tag is correct. All the new Steelseries product seems to be overpriced to me nowadays.
This was a great video I’ll be honest, I don’t watch every one of your videos but man is your content is high quality. Such a great review and really well laid out Keep it up man
I am glad I found your review. I am also an owner of the Arctis Pro Wireless for 3yrs and love them. I use it on my PC. Got the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless Xbox for Christmas (Haven't used them yet) for the Series X and the PS5.
This is the first review I've found that mentioned how to charge them if you are traveling and don't want to bring the base station for battery swapping. Thank for being so thorough. Placing my order now
Also. Nice to see you highlight my favorite festure of Steelseries: the ability to game while also listening to stuff on your phone. It’s kind of a must for Switch gamers that is how you would voice chat or listen or any sort of music while you are playing.
Absolutey fantastic video. Been using my nova pro wireless' for nearly three years now. Not a single issue. Steelseries GG in all is a fantastic software, quality build both on the headset and dac, and to be honest, id pay the price alone for the hot swappable battery, favourite feature of any headset ever
I've had my arctis pro wireless since the start of 2022 but last week one of the hinges on the earphone snapped making it completely useless, I talked to steelseries support and they said they're going to be retiring the Arctis Pro Wireless as its reached its "end of life" so looking at the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless before I have to send the Arctis Pro wireless to them for an exchange was a BIG help, thank you very much for this video!
Thanks for not rushing the details here. I ended up buying one just because I can run Bluetooth off my tablet ( discord, chat, whatever ) while gaming on my PC. I really didn't want to pay premium but I just don't think I would be happy with anything else right now. Can't wait for it to arrive.
I just bought some today just got done using them. Going from Astro a10 to these was a drastic difference! I could hear game audio i never thought existed now and can hear foot steps from a mile away

All in all I found you video is top tier in every aspect. 👍🏼 I have the pc/ps4 version Arctis pro wireless for a period of time, have it connected to Xbox via optical, great headset, breathable ear cups and I give it a 10/10. Until last week, the mic is somehow broken down with no clue and I desperately looking for replacement as it is an urgent need to chat in Warzone mode. I checked and bought the pc/ps4 version of Nova pro wireless, the only thing is it is not like the previous pc/ps4 version in which can compatible with Xbox. Their weight for reference: Arctis pro wireless 375gram (with 1000mAh battery) Nova pro wireless 335gram ( with 700mAh battery)
Great review, thank you. I've just ordered these to replace my A50 due to similar issues you touched on during this video. I was able to get mine for £212 brand new which isn't too bad considering what they offer
Thank you, after watching this I have bought the Steelseries Arctis Nova Pro wired as a replacement for my Razer Kraken Tournament headset. I don't mind wires!
I got these in the spring Amazon sale, it was a huge investment for me, but I am so pleased with them and so are my gaming buddies with the improved mic on my old Logitech headset.
As always, top of the line review!. Keep the excellent work and educating us simple mortals in the world of sound!. Quick question, did you made that video where you show how to use this with the GoXLR? cheers mate!
It sounds compressed still while wireless. No comparison to when it is wired. It's unfortunate these companies do not unlock the full potential of the wireless microphones because that is what gamer's want these days.
True I noticed this since I got mine a couple days ago. Wireless is also so much more convenient that sometimes I just don’t care about quality and just go for convenience
@@NotMagnuss Definitely. But it can absolutely be done because the HS80 is doing it at the $150 price point. Kind of amazing these headsets double the price have not caught on. I'm waiting for Corsair's next drop because they are the only ones that have figured this out.
Great video my man! I had these and returned them because they have a mic issue on xbox. I re purchased them because they sound way way better than my astro a50s. Steelseries did tell me they are aware of the mic issue and they are going to fix it in a upcoming firmware update. I didn't know they planned on bringing sonar to console that makes me even more excited for this headset!

Holy hell, the wireless vs wired microphone tests are insane. I thought you went back to your usual recording mic before I read the screen I really gotta look into getting a good wired mic haha, the incredible change a wired connection can make is well worth the slight inconvenience
5:47 this is by far the biggest concern i have. Optical cables are how i currently use my setup... really wish they would have kept these. would have been quite nice to dual purpose the 3.5mm jacks to keep optical support.

Whoever is sniping on COD look alike they have aimbot, I've seen too many people use this ,that's how I know but I just bought the 2024 version of arctis nova pro and they are out of this world .by far the best headset I've have used, you won't have any problems with audio as it goes so loud and if your playing call of duty you won't even need it on a ten, if you have a quiet game you probably still don't need a ten which is awesome if you habe to adjust in long run .sound is incredible..alot of people had trouble hooking it up ,I did as well but I figured it out within a few hours..put it this way it's right in plain sight..I highly recommend these headsets and it's worth $350... order it at Walmart not at a3rd party seller .the packaging is awesome..I love the smell of new stuff and you can tell it wasn't touched....so many options in this device definitely 10/10 headset..if anyone is taking to you in the room whike thesebare on you wont be able to hear them snd it does cancel out a decent amount of noise even if it didn't the volume is insane so that's not a problem .they fit very snug and has like 3 settings for any size head.....I did my research on what are the best headsets of 2024 and this was on top of the list and they were accurate.. definitely #1..if you are looking for the best I would get this one... no doubt
Stumbled across your channel while searching for reviews for the Arctis Pro. Props for the quality content and excellent editing. Subscribed.
Yo thanks so much!
Logitech pro x wireless has profound white noise. Trash headset btw.
Your reviews are just so good. Seriously next level. Even for stuff I'm not interested in, I immediately click on your videos when you post them. I've already bought 3 items mostly from your review (virtuoso rgb xt, glorious model d and gmmk board).
Keep up the excellent work!
Thank you so much, that really means a lot!
Oh wow, I really like that! Great idea. I'll start putting some content together and be sure to give you a shout out when I do.
Joshua Valour has done those
Great idea! Look forward to seeing this!
yooo im gonna be looking forward to that
@@Imabanana847 making the focus be on gaming would be a stand out compared to josh’s vids, as his focus mostly on sound for music alone
This channel just keeps getting better and better!
Have the Arctis pro wireless right now. Absolutely love it. When it dies I’ll be going for this tbh. Such a nice headset and from the only gaming company I can recommend
Absolutely. Crazy.
Super in depth review and amazing quality as always!
I bought these and absolutely love them. Best headset Ive ever used by a long shot. The arctis 9x are nothing compared to these.
They still dont compare to the penrose in sound
Great video. I love my Audeze Penrose. I did have to use after market ear cushions, and I don’t use the mic, but the sound experience is great. I even got an extra cushion to go on the headband to really increase the comfort. I also bought them on Black Friday for $150.00, so I think I got a steal.
@@byZoRam yes. had to get wicked cushions and just went on amazon and got a headband cushion. I will also say wireless range on them is really bad
I loved my Penrose too. Returned it thinking I don't need wireless, going for an Orbit S (like a rebranded Mobius), but the audio just wasn't the same.
this was a great video, and waiting till the end to plug the ad is a game changer
I also have the white noise. I was bothered by it when I first bought the headset. But now I always forget about it and never bothers me.
also can confirm about the hiss in old arctis wireless pro. a year of usage, I just got used to it. The pros of this thing FAR outweighs the hiss. Thinking of upgrading to nova to remove the hiss, but those pleather pads is a deal breaker for me.
12:56 he addresses this here briefly. Supposedly no background hiss.
I return them
Sometimes I subscribe to so many Tech Reviewers on RUclips, some get lost in the shuffle.
It seems kind of gimped to not have Sonar available on console to launch.
i have been on the fence on many products and this page has sold or unsold me on many items. i have not regretted one purchase so far. thank you!
I really, really like the wired one except for the ear pads. Hoping for some breathable options down the road. For pricing, I think the right move would be to release a wired one that doesn't include the DAC, though I have to admit the DAC is quality and does justify the additional cost.
Wired versions have replaceable ear cushions
Sort of. You can stretch them to fit, but the size isn't quite the same.
@Alex Tobola on the web site it says not compatible whit nova headsets
Thanks so much man! We're in Boston now and I miss Rainier all the time. Can't wait to get back to WA for a few days!
Gen 2 has mute button now I believe
Jesus man i remember when you were out for 50k subs and now you're over 300K. Super happy for you!
Been using mine for awhile now and I love them. It was uncomfortable with the ANC nub rubbing against my ear at first, but after readjusting over and over for a few days, it got better. Love the sound and all the features that come with it.
What / how did you readjust?
I just got these for Christmas and I can say the sound is phenomenal.
Its audio quality actually isnt really that great for the price point. Look up Rtings review.
What do you recommend then?
I liked this review so much that I watched through all the ads and subbed. We need more of these videos where you compare the product to the competitors and show a real comparison like you did when you spoke through several different "gaming" headset mics to get a nice idea.
Thank you so much for taking the time. This one took a while to produce so I'm really glad to hear its hitting the mark.
Thank you Thank you. This is the first video out of 6 long videos that provided the info I was looking for.
The Penrose mic was the best of all these mics. Is clean, clear and very naturally balanced.
I thought so too. I was surprised he said it was not so great.
Umm no. It's actually the worst. His video made it seem nice but it's not
what a thorough, quick, great review. you are 100% one of the best reviewers i've ever seen.
Bought these yesterday. Absolute banger, barely feel any weight on head and don’t have any issues with ANC bump. I’m on PS5.
The "moving your dongle" comment got me lol
Excellent review. Really appreciate the depth and comparisons with other similar headsets.
Thanks! 🙏🏼
This was a great video
I’ll be honest, I don’t watch every one of your videos but man is your content is high quality.
Such a great review and really well laid out
Keep it up man
Thanks so much!
great review really did a great job ive just never heard someone refer to cod as C.O.D
The best review I have read and viewed regarding gaming headsets, you are good. Excellent review
You are by far the best reviewer on youtube. Thank you for the videos.
I am glad I found your review. I am also an owner of the Arctis Pro Wireless for 3yrs and love them. I use it on my PC. Got the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless Xbox for Christmas (Haven't used them yet) for the Series X and the PS5.
How well do they work on you p5 ?
This is the first review I've found that mentioned how to charge them if you are traveling and don't want to bring the base station for battery swapping. Thank for being so thorough. Placing my order now
honestly i almost never comment videos. but man. this was well researched and put together. awesome quality. thanks!
Thanks so much, I really appreciate you taking the time 🙏🏼
Great quality and a big fan of the format of this video. Subscribed.
Such an amazing review as ever smooth video and ofc the music is amazing as ever keep it up.
Wow!!! this was very unexpected, such thorough review, thanks and kudos👍
Sick beard. Sick video!
Thanks for not rushing the details here. I ended up buying one just because I can run Bluetooth off my tablet ( discord, chat, whatever ) while gaming on my PC. I really didn't want to pay premium but I just don't think I would be happy with anything else right now. Can't wait for it to arrive.
This is the best review on RUclips for the Arctis nova pro by a long shot.
thanks!
Wow this review totally sold me on these, great video, thanks for the info and great compairisons.
Can't wait to see how to set up the Nova Pro with the GO XLR on your next video (whenever that may be), I'll be waiting. :D
I just bought some today just got done using them. Going from Astro a10 to these was a drastic difference! I could hear game audio i never thought existed now and can hear foot steps from a mile away
I was absolutely SHOCKED when you started talking into the arctis nova pro wired. I just really wanted the wireless
I know everyone is talking about the mic and the sound quality, features etc. I'm just happy someone actually reviewed head size comfortability since I too am of the large head gang bless up
First of all 15:30 perfection of smoothness that is all I’m gonna say about this smoothness.
Awesome video! I'm upgrading from Astro A50 Gen 4s to this headset & am glad I did a lot of research first 👀
Getting my new headset tomorrow! 🔥
Awesome video.. straight to the point , extremely detailed review plus professionalism for not ranting on a story about yourself .. keep doing what your doing man. I’m sure subscribing
I agree with others. This was an outstanding in-depth review. Amazing job. Thanks!
Nice round up, thanks, just got these yesterday
your videos were not to fast as you said. i prefer your videos cause you really hammer on all the points and don't ramble on. great job and keep videos like this coming 👍
All in all I found you video is top tier in every aspect. 👍🏼
I have the pc/ps4 version Arctis pro wireless for a period of time, have it connected to Xbox via optical, great headset, breathable ear cups and I give it a 10/10.
Best heaset review I've seen (heard?) Thanks for the detailed review. SUBBED!
Best gaming headphones review on youtube and exactly what I was looking for to help me choose a high end headset! thank you sir and please keep it up!
Thank you, after watching this I have bought the Steelseries Arctis Nova Pro wired as a replacement for my Razer Kraken Tournament headset. I don't mind wires!
Perfect concise review. I'm buying this now. Thanks.
This was fantastic, well done with the comparisons to similar products!
DUDE I literally bought the G Pro X headset yesterday then you post this banger!
The difference in that mic switch (when going back to the artis nova pro) was insane, great work done by SteelSeries
Would you go with these or the turtle beach pro? For console
@Joshua Canales I have both and I think the turtles are better and Def better on console because you can't use sonar with the novas on console
@@grizzlystr8xl456 thank you that’s kinda what keep reading also that’s what I might go with for now until I build my pc. Didn’t think I would have to get a pc but honestly they are just better over all.
@@grizzlystr8xl456 Thanks ! 🙏🏽
@@Capo_jc21 no problem

appreciate this video and well done. love this style of review
Subscribing to you because you're the best and most thorough reviewer I've seen on RUclips. Props to you!
Thanks David, I really appreciate that!
Picked these up for $200 the other day, they sound great!
Holy hell, the wireless vs wired microphone tests are insane. I thought you went back to your usual recording mic before I read the screen
I really gotta look into getting a good wired mic haha, the incredible change a wired connection can make is well worth the slight inconvenience
5:47 this is by far the biggest concern i have. Optical cables are how i currently use my setup... really wish they would have kept these. would have been quite nice to dual purpose the 3.5mm jacks to keep optical support.
how do you get rid of the loud af beep when going back on the dac? it's the same touch button too
I know I’m a little late here but for those looking for third party cushions I highly recommend Wicked Cushions. Great review. I feel even better now about the mic.
Man you are literally a life saver fr man!
I'm a bit late here but is there an announcer that cuts out audio when you mute these like there is on the Audeze Mobius?
I hate hitting the mic mute only to lose what my friends are saying for 1-2 seconds.
Is there?
