@@eenne2 check this video: "Corsair HS80 Review - The BEST Wireless Microphone?" and go to 3:47. then compare that to a blackshark v2 pro 2023 mic. blackshark will sound like stuffed nose
The only thing is that the guy is comparing the Blackshark with a $50 more expensive G Pro. So of course the G Pro should have more features etc just as a base level - what else are you paying for otherwise? Little bit apples to oranges unfortunately.
I recently got the Blackshark at the beginning of July and its been fantastic. Previously using Phillips SHP9500 with a Vmoda Boom Pro which is such a fantastic combo for the price, but I have been trying to remove wires from my setup and whilst I wanted something like the Nova Pro for the DAC, not many had great mics. As soon as I saw/heard samples of the BS 2023 in other reviews I got them off Amazon UK. I think they are great for me. Comfortable, light, and I STILL havent had to recharge them. The only reason I open synapse is to check now. The mic is properly good and it makes me feel like Im not sacrificing anything. If you can live with the plastic then its a great choice IMO.
Personally I didn't have any problems with ghub. I owned the original G Pro X wireless for about 7 months, EVERYTHING worked flawlessly. Razer has come a long way too, I use synapse for my Naga Pro mouse, can't fault it 😁
be careful if you plan on buying the razer headset, i bought one and a big piece of plastic fell off of the other end of the headband after 2 months and i was very careful with them
Yeah, I guess I have a different reason to most likely not buy a logitech headset (logitech g pro x broke after 4 months....) but razer synapse has certainly gotten really good
I love the Blackshark V2 pro 2023 for so many reasons, but the right ear cup broke off after about 6 months though. Seems to be a common problem on the headset. I'm not rough on my gear. It slowly broke over time. First was an inside panel on the mount, then another piece broke off a few months later, then finally the whole thing snapped off.
The 5 band equalizer is really poor for a $250 headset. Also G Hub has a years long problem of not working with Windows spatial audio (Sonic/Atmos/DTS). In order to use Windows spatial sound you have to uninstall the Logitech audio driver/G Hub and install the basic Microsoft audio driver. However this of course means you lose all functionality of G Hub. This is a years long issue that people have been complaining about and Logitech hasn't fixed. It's really bizarre. Never seen this problem with any other headset in my life. It would be good if BadSeed Tech covered this issue, maybe they would fix it.
While I can't speak on the high end, my girlfriend recently picked up the Blackshark V2 X Wired, and they sound fantastic, Mic quality is what stands out though. It is super clear and clean, with very little background noise being picked up. Razer has really stepped up their game in terms of overall quality, even on the lower end. This is all plug and play on console. Haven't tested them on PC with extra software tuning yet.
I got a bargain from ebay and got a V2X for £15 for my son to use when watching ipad etc and was surprised at the comfort and fit of the headset. When I heard samples of the BS 2023 I knew it was going to be a good combo as they just seem to be the same fit but with a MUCH better mic (compared to their previous wireless versions).
As a certified head sweater, I highly recommend head sets that have sports mesh style earpads, notably the Razer blackshark and steelseries Arctis nova. Wicked cushions can also get the job done.
Let's be honest here, the microphone on Blackshark v2 pro is simply insane but somehow I like the Logitech G PRO X2 better because of the build quality and some other things. Could it work if you simply swap and use the Razer microphone on the Logitech headphones? Really nice reviews, straight on the point without hiding the bad things. Keep up the good work! ✌️
Yes I saw a video where someone swapped the blackshark v2 pro 2023 mic and used it on the g pro x 2. Sounded great. If you could possibly snag a mic it could be a good combo, but the blue voice in my opinion is pretty decent
@@itsemurha0can always try Walmart 🤣 I may have had a bad elite controllers bought a new one and swapped it and returned it. Despite mismatching serial they took it 😶🌫️ so probably can get away with the mic being different, they don't know 🤣
1:30 THANK YOU SO MUCH for saying that the settings flash to the headset. This is a big deal for me as a Linux user. I just want to boot up Windows, set the settings and flash to the headset, and then boot up Linux again.
A bit late to the party, but here are some thoughts of someone who just bought the Blackshark but was doubting between the 2. PROS: Number one, it is extremely comfortable to wear. I wore it pretty much the entire day the first day i got it and had absolutely no issues, apart from hot ears which wasn't too bad. Secondly, the battery is insane. That is one of the main reasons why i bought it is due to that many wireless headsets require charging after one day or even a night of gaming, while I have had over 70h of usage without needing to charge these. Thirdly, also one of the main reasons I bought the Blackshark is its microphone. The microphone is insanely good for a wireless headset which was the final decision for me to get them. I used to have a normal desk microphone but found it so annoying, but wanted a headset mic which still is good enough to talk to with your friends with. And the blackshark microphone definitely does that. Lastly, the customization in razer synapse. You can change your sound levels however you want and there is a noticeable difference which I appreciate, and the same for the microphone in case you want it to sound more professional or basic etc. CONS: The THX audio system from Razer. This does NOT get spoken about enough. THX audio system is from Razer where you've got all the options to customize your sound which you get with his headset for the ultimate experience, and don't get me wrong, it sounds absolutely amazing. But damn it comes with alot of bugs (which I did expect before I bought it due to Razer being Razer..). I am someone who uses Discord every single day, but due to the THX audio system interfering with Discord, you won't get notification sound when you get messages, when someone joins your call or even bugs out the sound of your friends stream. Even WhatsApp notification does not work (mostly). I have read that this issue is with the Razer Synapse program, and you can download the THX audio system on its own - but you've got to pay money in order to fix it which is absolutely bs. All in all, I absolutely love the headset. It ticked all the boxes of my requirements for a wireless headset. Sure, the THX bug is annoying but it is not the end of the world. Sometimes it does work, but hopefully Razer can just fix they shitty program for once. If you seek a wireless headset that has a lot of battery power, a great mic & sound that is comfortable - I would say go for it.
Is it possible to use the Razer Blackshark without installing Synapse? I already know (from having the Razer webcam) that my work laptop will not let me install Synapse.
hey, has anybody had a problem with the blackshark where there is a constant static noise when no audio is playing on the headset. I've tried everything and got no solution and I'm surprised no review vídeos mention this problem( although there is a lot of threads on Reddit about this)
hahaha as you mentioned a lot of threads on Reddit and I also experienced it, this is due to design or software (razer synce) issue and there is nothing we can do. Why no reviewers mentioned it ? Because of MONEY they took from Razer Bro!! If you can just return it and stay away from any razer products , especiall headsets. My blackshark v2 pro 2023 has noise issue and it disconnects randomly from my pc , and you can do nothing about it....
Great review! Thanks :) which of the headphones will work best with answering call via iPhone? (I will be gaming with them but I need to be available for work calls) :(
Blackshark 100% - not only is the mic top tier, but you can just double click a button on the pack and be right into bluetooth without needing to connect in the moment.
Does your copy also have issues with the adjustable hinge being weak and slowly going down when you use the headset? I decided to buy the g pro x 2 after seeing this but both of my copies come with the same issue, the left side cup needs constant adjustments throughout the day and i'd hate to just refund it :(
Bluetooth, USB-C in 2 and only microusb in 1. I'm not sure, but maybe the drivers of 2 are better. I have the same second thoughts about which to choose.
I’ve tried and tested both of these headsets extensively and as someone who’s been around audio for over 30 years and understand what good audio is, I have to say my experience has been the same. Although, to my hearing the Blackshark was better on imaging and footstep sound came through better at longer distances, but for pure sound quality I found the Logitech to be a cleaner sound, but I think I still prefer the original G Pro X Wireless overall and definitely prefer the imaging on the original. I’d say if anyone has the original G Pro X stick with that, you’re not missing much at all, unless you want the extra features on the headset The king of wireless headsets for me is still the SteelSeries Nova 7. It has more accurate bass and mids than the G Pro X2 and much more accurate than the Blackshark and it has equal imaging and comfort I now use a wired set up for competitive gaming. I’m using the original Truthear Crinacle Zero IEM with the Turtle Beach Superamp, but when gaming away from my set up I use the SteelSeries Nova 7
Plus the nova 7s have chatmix and you can use BT and 2.4ghz at the same time, and theyre also cheaper. Clear winners for me, just got them and theyre awesome!
How about heat. My biggest problem with those kind of headphones is that I have to take them off during gameplay becouse I feel to much heat. And looking for headset that will be cool.
@@evan-du3vk That comes down to what material the ear pad is. If you have a serious problem with heat, then always go for a headset that has fabric ear pads, but fabric ear pads can bleed out sound if not fitted to your head and ears properly and even the slightest movement of the headset on your head will let the sound bleed out through the tiniest of gaps between the ear pad and your ear Nova 7 has fabric ear pads, but I bought the official SteelSeries leatherette ear pads and they’re great, soft and comfortable and also locks in all the sound
On my Blackshark V2 (non pro), the earpads start falling apart after about 2 years and I was taking very good care of them. yes you can change them, but there are no official earpad replacements I could find on the razer store, and the Wicked Cushion ones I got, while comfortable, completely muffled the overall sound dynamics. I am not saying of course to not buy the Blackshark just for this, but it is very welcome the Logitech is providing 2 sets of earcups in the box.
I have the JBL 910 and Turtle Beach Stealth Pro. Love the imaging of TB and the explosive Bass of 910. Do either of the Logitech or Razer products compare to the imaging or explosive Bass of 910. Also what's the best headset for Virtual Surround sound for a gaming wireless headset?
i'm here for one thing and one thing only.... how do you keep your bead oil off your keyboard and mouse.... i dont even use alot like i used to when i first started growing my beard but lately my dam mouse has been irritatingly sticky. and i'm concerned the essential oils in the blend is messing up my mouse in particular since its the item that seems to stay sticky no matter how i clean it. i have a brand new logitecch mx master3 that i dont wanna get all sticky (its my gaming mouse that is suffering) any advice?
Thanks for the awesome comparison. I used the X pro og for a while and Im thinking f of swapping to the PRO x 2, how's the advanced EQ? I saw a smaller EQ in the video.
im looking for a good surround sound headset for xbox gaming and was looking at logitech but that mic is off putting because im always chatting to friends while playing and would like something clearer like the razer. could you recommend the best headset for XBOX please? thanks. :-)
My BS V2 Pro headset actually crumbled after 6 months. The buckle, where the wires connect to the headband, uses screws and plastic, meaning it doesn't have good long term durability. I recently got the G Pro X2 open box for $170, and its excellent for that price. I use a mounted mic, so i don't even use the built in mic. If you can find it for $200 or less, def get the Pro X2 if oyu need a high quality wireless headset.
What would you recommend for something that is close or maybe better in terms of audio quality? I dont care about wireless or microphone quality... Obviously would like something cheaper if im to "give up" those "features". Im asking because when playing shooters I really cant hear footsteps... Also I tried the logitecg and razer in store at best buy and they seem excellent for RPG s like elden ring or some diablo .
@badseedtech nice video, I stumbled upon this as I'm considering these 2 headphones that I can use for both games and work. I don't know if it's been asked before, and I'm just curious, but would the mic of the BLACKSHARK V2 work on the G PRO X2?
I was looking at both of these. Appreciate the comparison! Would love to see a review of the new Blackshark V2 Hyperspeed. Curious if anything was sacrificed with the cheaper price.
Can anyone tell me if the Blackshark V2 pro custom settings on the synapse software transfer over to the PS5 once setup on the Pc? That is the only thing weighing my decision to buy
I will say in the Logitech mic testing, there was a weird robotic reverb on that mic and not on the OG. I dunno if it's a normal issue, or if something with the video, but it was extremely noticeable to me
I'm 95% sure it's because noise reduction is activated in the software, it makes the mic sound like complete garbage instead of .. average, I guess. Logitech should really look into that because it has f*cked them over in several of these youtube reviews lol. Worst part is the settings seems to randomly reactivate itself after turning it off, it does for me at least.
With the look and the sound of the mic on the black shark I'm kinda leaning on that one. How does the mic do with that 1 loud gamer next to you on their set up?
my g pro x2 lightspeed sounds very odd in game. it definatly has bass but feels like it is completly separate from the mids and highs making those sound very sharp. my old $30 EKSA e900 pro sounded way deeper and more in depth. has anyone had this problem? im unsure if it actually sounds bad or if I am just used to the sound of my old headset but this is how it really should sound.
Hey man, great content! Mad props to you. At one point in the video you mentioned that the wireless features is the convenience that makes the prices reasonable for both headsets and there are cheaper alternatives if the quality of sound and mic is a priority rather than the wireless feature, I wish you would've given more context and actually shown us that particular examples. Still, if anyone knows the answer to my question, I'd appreciate hearing it. Thanks.
badseed tech not sure if someone else has commented this but is it possible to put the Razer microphone into the Logitech pro 2x? Since the microphone quality is better will it transfer the quality to the other headset. I know this isnt ideal but personally would spend the extra 20 if i decided to go with the Logitech based on your comparison. Please let me know.
What headphones do you recommend for PS5 and Call of Duty that have good sound quality and are comfortable, maximum 310 dollars, that are not too closed headphones?
Razer Blackshark V2 Pro 2023: does its BT connect to just 1 device or 2 simultaneously (e.g., switching from BT-connected computer to BT-connected smartphone when a call comes in)?
i know not a lot of people dont want bloatware but if you want a really good official sound EQ software that also comes with a mixer the steelseries Sonar software is really good and is compatible with ANY headset as long as its actually connect to your PC wireless or wirelessly (DUH) please do a video on that. it will make everyones audio experience so much better. It also helps improve the virtual sound and directional sound. i can even go through ways it makes streaming much more simple. FOR EXAMPLE i can adjust my volume in the mixer but it wont change for the stream so you can set your sound for stream and leave it and adjust on your end and have a better experience while streaming on both broadcaster and viewers end
when Badseed drops a video, I don't even look at what the title is, I know it'll be a banger and that he'll eventually cover tech I'm in the market for
Great video brother thanks for the info, really had me pump the breaks on that purchase. What would you say is your absolute best wireless gaming headset for competitive gaming? I play Apex Legends and COD only and havent really found my favorite headset yet. Thanks for your input brother
Hey which would you recommended for a PS5 user? Am a console gamer and am deciding which headset to purchase atm, been looking around and these two have caught my eye, I really like the adjustable ear pads from the Logitech but the mic seems incredible on the RBS V2 Thank you for the video, liked and subscribed 🙏🏽
Hey man! Great reviews, thanks a lot! I'm looking for a good headset and checked hundreds reviews already. SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless looks good but a bit expensive for me and I don't want to have any additional stuff on my table. I don't care about bluetooth or ANC, I will use it only with my PC via dongle. Mic is pretty important as I play mostly shooters with teammates and I don't plan to buy an external mic. Also I need to be sure that I can go to another room without any issues with sound (~15m radius). Budget is about 200 Eur. Now I'm choosing between SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7 and Razer Blackshark V2 Pro 2023. How do you think? Or maybe there is some other better options? Thanks in advance👍
I'd say Logitech wins, just because you can probably eventually just buy the Razer's mic and attach it to the G Pro (someone tested it and it works really well)
I've actually had the complete opposite feelings, synapse ALWAYS gives me the most headache and ghub has provided the most seamless experience personally.

I am not saying of course to not buy the Blackshark just for this, but it is very welcome the Logitech is providing 2 sets of earcups in the box.
for rainbow six footsteps which one would be better?
Ever make a decision cause I play Siege mainly
Bro that Logitech mic intro has me dying 😂😂😂
I have the JBL 910 and Turtle Beach Stealth Pro. Love the imaging of TB and the explosive Bass of 910.
Do either of the Logitech or Razer products compare to the imaging or explosive Bass of 910.
Also what's the best headset for Virtual Surround sound for a gaming wireless headset?
In your opinion what’s the best sound mic on a headset? And does wireless and wired make a difference?
i'm here for one thing and one thing only.... how do you keep your bead oil off your keyboard and mouse.... i dont even use alot like i used to when i first started growing my beard but lately my dam mouse has been irritatingly sticky. and i'm concerned the essential oils in the blend is messing up my mouse in particular since its the item that seems to stay sticky no matter how i clean it. i have a brand new logitecch mx master3 that i dont wanna get all sticky (its my gaming mouse that is suffering) any advice?
Can you compare the razor blackshark v2 pro 2023 and the corsair hs80 max
Thanks for the awesome comparison. I used the X pro og for a while and Im thinking f of swapping to the PRO x 2, how's the advanced EQ? I saw a smaller EQ in the video.
im looking for a good surround sound headset for xbox gaming and was looking at logitech but that mic is off putting because im always chatting to friends while playing and would like something clearer like the razer. could you recommend the best headset for XBOX please? thanks. :-)
So there is no delay in wireless gaming at all with these 2 headsets??? You hit the trigger and the shot is delayed, no such thing with these?????
thoughts on acezone headsets?
If I can get the new black shark and the Arctis Nova Pro for pretty much the same price (Arctis being 10$ more), which would you recommend?
My BS V2 Pro headset actually crumbled after 6 months. The buckle, where the wires connect to the headband, uses screws and plastic, meaning it doesn't have good long term durability. I recently got the G Pro X2 open box for $170, and its excellent for that price. I use a mounted mic, so i don't even use the built in mic. If you can find it for $200 or less, def get the Pro X2 if oyu need a high quality wireless headset.
Important question does the blackshark have a mobile eq app or can it use the razer mobile eq app?
What would you recommend for something that is close or maybe better in terms of audio quality? I dont care about wireless or microphone quality... Obviously would like something cheaper if im to "give up" those "features". Im asking because when playing shooters I really cant hear footsteps... Also I tried the logitecg and razer in store at best buy and they seem excellent for RPG s like elden ring or some diablo .
Blackshark
@@Tussockyy I ended up getting the blackshark v2. Very nice headphones for the sound quality/price
Great, fast hitting video. Nicely done.
@badseedtech nice video, I stumbled upon this as I'm considering these 2 headphones that I can use for both games and work. I don't know if it's been asked before, and I'm just curious, but would the mic of the BLACKSHARK V2 work on the G PRO X2?
oui ca marche
Any updates???
Apparantly you can use the blackshark mic on the x2, can you confirm this?
I like the fact that he gets to the point on each toping fast instead of talking about each topic for 5 min
weird question here, the black shark v2 pro mic could work with the audio technica ath m50xbt2? like a frankstein headset
Dumb question: Could the Blackshark be wired if I used a type-c to 3.5mm?
What about the HyperX Cloud II Wireless? How do they compare with the Logitech and Razer?
is EPOS PC38X better?
Banger video as always! Any mice on your radar you're looking to review or are actively working on the review?
I was looking at both of these. Appreciate the comparison! Would love to see a review of the new Blackshark V2 Hyperspeed. Curious if anything was sacrificed with the cheaper price.
the mic isnt detachable
Tha blackshark mic works with the G2 and can be purchased separately.
He has reviews on all my products. I had to sub. Plus the beard is destine for respect. 👍
Have been eyeing that Blackshark for the mic alone, now you convinced me
Can anyone tell me if the Blackshark V2 pro custom settings on the synapse software transfer over to the PS5 once setup on the Pc?
Thanks.
Good to see another headset brand take it to Corsair for mic quality, gg Razer
What's the best competitive wired headset
Is there really a problem with wanting a logitech mouse but a razor headset?
badseed tech not sure if someone else has commented this but is it possible to put the Razer microphone into the Logitech pro 2x? Since the microphone quality is better will it transfer the quality to the other headset. I know this isnt ideal but personally would spend the extra 20 if i decided to go with the Logitech based on your comparison. Please let me know.
Very good video, bro. Excellent footage and accurate information. It helped me a lot to decide between the two, thank you. Hug from Brazil.
What headphones do you recommend for PS5 and Call of Duty that have good sound quality and are comfortable, maximum 310 dollars, that are not too closed headphones?
Hello ! Did you find an answer to that question ?
Razer Blackshark V2 Pro 2023: does its BT connect to just 1 device or 2 simultaneously (e.g., switching from BT-connected computer to BT-connected smartphone when a call comes in)?
BT *connects* to both sources and then you can manually toggle between them with a button
@@badseedtech Thanks for the info.
Awesome job as always man!
naw bro that mic alone sold me, as someone who does not care to get a standalone mic. That shit is wild that it sounds like that lmao.
i want to hear youre opinion on the epos h6pro
i know not a lot of people dont want bloatware but if you want a really good official sound EQ software that also comes with a mixer the steelseries Sonar software is really good and is compatible with ANY headset as long as its actually connect to your PC wireless or wirelessly (DUH) please do a video on that. it will make everyones audio experience so much better.
I want the Logitech look but the mic of razer, is there any brand or model close to that?
4:31 It's not strange. It's the correct way of doing this. There must be only 1 volume control between the OS and your device.
I can’t believe how much better the Razer mic is over everything else… Logitech would sell WAY more units if they did a better job with the mic…
the best reviewer on youtube man. Would love to see more keyboard reviews/comparisons.. or perhaps even some gaming monitor comparison reviews!
Is it so much to ask for a decent wireless openback headset? If Philips could make my X2HR wireless that'd be great.
Hey which would you recommended for a PS5 user?
Am a console gamer and am deciding which headset to purchase atm, been looking around and these two have caught my eye, I really like the adjustable ear pads from the Logitech but the mic seems incredible on the RBS V2
Thank you for the video, liked and subscribed 🙏🏽
So how about Maxwell Audeze headsets vs IEMs?
Thanks in advance👍
which one did u get ?
I'd say Logitech wins, just because you can probably eventually just buy the Razer's mic and attach it to the G Pro (someone tested it and it works really well)
I've actually had the complete opposite feelings, synapse ALWAYS gives me the most headache and ghub has provided the most seamless experience personally.
Help pls razer blackshark v2 pro 2023 vs SS nova 5 ???
Did u ever decide?
