“Nobody’s going to remember me. I never done anything lasting. I never made that classic film that I can be proud of.” That is probably the saddest scenes in the movie. Austin Butler was amazing in this role. He deserves every award, I hope he gets the Oscar.

Yes, you can definitely see that in those family pictures that they took especially when it was just Lisa Marie and EP. And although she was only 9 when he passed away, the things that she remembers and has shared say it all. There’s the time she was in her bedroom and pretending that a hairbrush was a microphone and she was pretending to sing. Then she just sensed his presence and turned around and he was standing in the doorway looking at her and smiling. He wasn’t laughing at her he was just enjoying watching her. But the thing that always touched me the most was when she said in an interview that the one place she felt the most safe and secure was in his bedroom and office. She’d go through his religious and philosophy books and read all the notes and questions he had written in the margins. And no matter whatever happened to her, returning to Graceland and going up to his room and office was the best place for her (this was before Benjamin died though). They definitely had a bond.

The 3:36 mark is in my opinion the absolute SADDEST part of this scene. It's heartbreaking to me because at that moment, despite what he's going through, he has to step out into the world and pretend like he has everything together, like his life is perfect, like he's happy. He had to protect an image that was nothing more than a lie.

It was a shock when the media announced she died, and shortly after the Golden Globes where she got to see Austin win best actor. I’m glad she saw that! You and everyone could tell she was not well. Then, we come to hear that she was allegedly using drugs. It just comes full circle like him. Her poor family. They just couldn’t go on anymore.

Man, this scene hit hard. Seen it three times and it hits harder and harder each time. These days, the age of 40 is so young and of course Elvis had done lasting stuff - and of course, here we are, nearly 50 years since his passing, we still remember and love him and he is still gaining new fans around the world. Elvis was such a humble and sensitive man, too sensitive for those spongers around him. As a lifelong fan, I sincerely hope the real Elvis is looking down smiling, knowing that he isn't forgotten and that he is loved to this day and still influential all around the world. RIP, Elvis. You will never be forgotten and your legacy will live on forever. Your music is immortal. The Undisputed King of Rock and Roll always and forever.
