I believe Priscilla loved Elvis to pieces and yes both had issues. But EP literally surrounded by the 'Memphis Mafia' 24/7 would no doubt place a strain on the marriage because two people especially married would want 'alone time' together or a break from touring. Not to mention that a number of EP's friends' marriages ended in divorce because of their attachments at the hip to Elvis.
Between partners you really need to know when you both reached the end, only wish EP had done the same with Parker.

She started dating a Karate expert named Mike Stone, who trained with Chuck Norris and Bruce Lee. Elvis hated that guy so bad, he even asked Red and Sonny west to go over and kill him. They were very nervous about it, thinking of a way to talk Elvis out of it but they didn't have to because Elvis came to his senses before they did and told them he was just talking out of anger and to forget it.

@jaelayala7248...Elvis never "courted" her. She begged Currie Grant to introduce her to Elvis. He did leave Germany 3 months later to return to Hollywood. She wrote and begged him to bring her over to the states even though he was engaged to Anita Wood. He finally did when she was 17. After that he was stuck. He was forced to marry her and he even tried to leave her when she was 6 months pregnant but the colonel made him return. Finally, she started her own affairs 3 months after Lisa was born. I think they had a few good years but Elvis should have never married.

To think that this very moment in reality was 50 years ago. In a few weeks it’ll be 50 years to the day since their divorce became official at the Santa Monica courthouse. (It’s 9/14/2023 as I post my comment.)
Furthermore, In Priscilla’s memoir “Elvis and Me,” where she wrote about leaving Elvis, where Elvis asked her “Have I lost you to another man?” she replied “No, it’s not that; you’ve simply lost me to a life of my own. We’re living and leading separate lives.” Still, whether he had lost her to someone else or not, it was plain she truly had had it with him, his infidelity. Typical of star musicians, especially if they’re already married it seemed; their marriage can never hold a candle to all that sweet praise and applause from all the women in the audience. Like Priscilla was even trying to tell Elvis from the VERY beginning, when for example rumor had it he was seeing Nancy Sinatra, “Elvis, you either love me or you don’t,” and likewise after they got married. He was either going to be a good husband or he wasn’t, and he simply chose not to be. And Priscilla had had it with him, had had quite enough.

You’re absolutely right. But might I also note that not everything was simply affairs and fame. It was said that the first girl he truly fell for intimately and not just “takes out of school” was Natalie Wood- but Colonel thought she was too big of a star for him already. And then another woman he genuinely loved was Ann Margaret. So it’s almost as if he was filling the void with affairs for three women rather than Cilla- even though Cilla was his wife and whom he loved at the time. And I just think that’s so sad for both of them.

This scene was extremely inaccurate. In Priscilla’s autobiography she says she sat down quietly next to Elvis’s bed and explained how she needed to find herself, it wasn’t just about her need to be loved or her issues with other women it was mainly, about herself and wanting to live her own life. The two were tender with eachother and gentle almost through out the entire process of the divorce. She still loved him.
I get this scene was inspired and mainly to get the point across about their failing relationship but it paints Priscilla as just an exhausted housewife who just didn’t want to stick around anymore. It wasn’t just that. And it takes away the entire process of her self discovery and HER personhood, in order to make Elvis look like a victim or hurt.

Kurt facecial wise looked more like him but acting wise they bith did an amazing job. In Kurt's film he didn't sing any of the songs that was Rodney Mc Dowell who sang in that one. In Elvis 2022 Austin sang in all the early performances and in the later ones they blended Elvis and Austin together. As matte if fact the 1st movie acting roll Kurt Russrl had was when he was a little boy and he played the boy who kicked Elvis in the shin for a quarter in the movie It Happened At the World's Fair. I think these 2 actors were the best ever to portray Elvis.

narrated by Priscilla: She felt deeply attracted to the dance teacher (1968), known simply as Mark in the book, confesses to having committed adultery, and narrates "Elvis did not meet my physical and emotional needs". She implies regret, however, saying, "I came away from it realizing I needed a lot more from my relationship with Elvis." Priscilla unintentionally delivers another truth with her book, that being that Elvis made a really bad decision among many bad decisions in sharing his life with Priscilla.

According to those around him he was very upset. You can move on physically, that doesn’t mean you move on emotionally. Elvis couldn’t be alone. He had already left Priscilla emotionally, she left him physically. He admitted he ruined his marriage due to his career and lifestyle, it wasn’t because they didn’t love each other.

He wrote a song about her always being on his mind. And they held hands leaving the court settling their divorce. I’d say from that alone elvis was pretty hurt by the breakup.

@@xxitactical_8723 Elvis didn’t write, “Always on my Mind.” The song was written by Wayne Carson, Johnny Christopher, and Mark James. Elvis wasn’t a songwriter. He did sing a song called, “Its Midnight” where he says listen Cilla. That was in 1974 after their divorce.

Maybe it's too late. Sometimes I even hate myself for loving you
Trying to be strong then nighttime comes along and I start loving you
Wanting you. Where is all my self control I'm burning way down in my soul
And needing you, and wishing I could be the man, I try to
Hating me for wanting you to be with you knowing you don't love me like you used to
But it's midnight, Oh and I miss you
It's getting late and I know that's when I am weak
Funny how things have a way of looking so much brighter in the day light
I ought to go to bed to try and straighten out my head and just forget you
Oh but it's midnight yes and I miss you
