Dodge makes it about the guests and lets them speak but also asks the questions we all want to ask and times them brilliantly .. not his own ego like so many podcasts and thats what makes him the best about. Another brilliant interview 👏

Dodge, you have a new Sub. And Example has a new fan. While not fully my style of music, I can appreciate his talent with melody. As one of those Irishmen who lived in London in the 80's, I know the streets of Fulham well (The Wellington was one of the battle cruisers I frequented) which adds to my understanding of Example's youth. He's such an appreciative grateful guy and the information he passed along here is worth it's weigh in Gold. This is a great interview Dodge, which I have now come to expect from your channel, and any aspiring musician/DJ/rapper needs to listen to this. Let Example's "example" sink in, as you're not going to hear what he's saying in any other music college or on any business degree. Banger!

Awesome guy, I saw him in Leeds probably 12 years ago with Ed Sheeran selling signed CD's from a cardboard box on stage. Amazing to see how far they have both come.

Found EG through myspace back in the day and loved the rap stuff! I was so young then that I didn’t even realise my favourite tune “Me and Mandy” was about drugs 😳 Was abit gutted when I was at uni in 2011 and every club was rinsing the newer songs but glad to hear there’s new stuff on the way - gonna do a deep dive back on the new album.
Very eloquent, honest, interesting and engaging. Never been a huge fan of his music, but bloody hell have a huge amount of respect 🤍 Absolutely fantastic! Subbed, and so excited for more episodes really great work, love your style! Giving your guests room to talk, share their truth and be engaging!

I’m remember being an early example fan. Even before ‘So many roads’ and his other tunes. He was great. He adapted for the longevity.
Many British rappers never got any plaudits at that time. 2005, Kano (who I thought was with Mike Skinner too), done home sweet home, best album at the time and never took off mainstream. Respect to him for having the careers he’d had. He’s a nice guy it seems too
I love Elliotts energy on stage and can't wait to actually see him and his stage presence. Gutted i missed him at Kendal Calling 😏 great interview on someone abit different.
Wow, that was the most fascinating, interesting and inciteful interview ever and such an amazing journey Elliot’s been on! He’s also such a genuine guy! We first saw him at The Big Chill in 2011 and were looking forward to seeing him at Loosefest in Newcastle yesterday but it was sadly cancelled! Our daughter has just been signed on a record deal and so we’ll encourage her to listen to this interview, it’s got so much helpful content. Thanks Dodge - Elliot

Great hearing his story. He was great on the vocals of his songs, but i always liked his rapping too, i think his verse on game over (w/ tinie tempah, pro green, giggs, devlin) was the best. Always knew he was super talented from that, but it's great hearing how he evolved his style. Makes much more sense now.
I've been into music since I was a kid and do a bit of music journalism from time to time for print and online sites. I loved hearing about the numbers as it's generally all hidden away and not discussed.
I can see why the record companies don't want anyone talking about it. Elliot is wise beyond his years, and didn't get sucked into contracts like many others do.
Many years ago I interviewed Idles and they were on the up....and suddenly they has record companies wanting to sign them. They declined as they had done all the hard work themselves and they just didn't need a record deal by then.
I've tried to give Example a listen again but it really isn't for me. A lovely bloke non the less.😎😎

I saw this fella at Rock City in Nottingham, and I can say the way he looked like he was enjoying it more than the crowd (which they were) it was infectious and made it a great gig🇬🇧👊🏼
