  • Tommy chats to Irish football pundit and former professional player & coach Roy Keane. Taken from Season 7, Episode 1 of "The Tommy Tiernan Show' in January 2023.
    Each episode Tommy welcomes mystery guests and interviews them without any preparation or knowledge of who will be joining him until they meet in studio. The result is conversations full of adventure and surprise, with people from all walks of life, some well-known personalities, some lesser so. With this inquisitive and articulate host, every conversation has the potential for great honesty and insight, humour and sometimes freewheeling wildness.

    I was hanging on your every word Tommy! Waiting for even one of those emotional questions to crack Roy Keane! Roy Keane don’t crack!

    Tommy has a unique gift of identifying someone’s weakness and asking them to explain their emotions. I saw how he controlled Bill Burr with “cigar” conversation and it was very Machiavelli!
    Hats off Tommy T !

    I love Tommys interview style. Laid back. Easy going but with a mind as sharp as a whip. Nice job Tommy 👏

    Great chat..
    I would also disagree with Roy saying it was easy to lead because he had so much talent in the room and on the pitch with him… In many ways it is FAR harder to get great players to follow someone else no matter how great that player may be… because great players all have that ego that drives them to be great, so having to follow someone else, even if they too are great players can be a very difficult pill to swallow…
    An average leader can lead average to poor players.. but only the truly GREAT leaders can lead great players…

    I'm an Ipswich fan and remember Roy as our manager. Don't think he was given enough time at Portman Road. Gutted when he left.

      i knew, I've always dispelled the myth that 'keano ended alf haaland's career' bs.
      he played that same week and he retired a few years later with his OTHER knee as the problem.

    Roy Keane and Tommy Tiernan do look a lot like each other, Tommy a little softer, Roy and little lot harder, Roy was the 2nd Irish captain of the great Man U, It is true that Roy did drive his time on to many extra wins that is for sure.

    Tommy's lookin for cracks in Keano. He's a multi-millionaire who had an amzing career. He's living the high life. However Haaland broke his leg. could never properly recover from the tackle, and had to retire at 30.

    • @jgcondron
      @jgcondron 9 часов назад

      Wrong leg. The tackle had zero to do with it.
