Have to rate this guys honesty. Voted Liverpool’s best player 05 and 07 in the PFA team of the year in 06 and he can still be honest enough to say I wouldn’t have picked myself over Rio or Terry. Wrighty was superb with the questions and host. I think what you can say about all these lads is they all got the best out of their talent and matched their talent levels with the hard graft their entire careers. Jamie's Ball knowledge is phenomenal. Great episode as usual.

      >like Jamie's trophy cabinet hasn't been as big as Scholes, Nev and Keanes but they respect his career and him as a player
I think a keen here is that they're all pretty aware that Carragher wasn't riddled with talent like they were (he's admitted as such himself), but the guy left everything on the field and played for the badge and the players out there with him. He is the exact type of player Keane respects more than anything.

It does seem weird now, but you only become a top level professional if you’re extremely good at football. And most good footballers want to be more attacking players when young, so they are as they’re better than the other kids in their teams. It’s when they go to a higher level they are moved to other positions as there tends to be better wingers/strikers etc at those better clubs/academies.
