This is real, Brutal honesty, bare naked, The pain, the sadness yet the joy, the greatness of life and the will to carry on and do better and spread a little of life joy to the people of the world. & BECKET The MASTER. So thanks a million Stephen & Tommy
I've watched a few of the interview's Tommy has done (here on youtube) and quite a few of the famed people interviewed have said that 'I have'nt spoke about this before!'. The format you provide works and you seem to have a knack for going into the layer's of the people you interview. Very unique indeed in the world of chat show.
I am 67 now, I am so proud to be irish, and proud to be British, why can't the the bigots on both sides just let us live together, ffs, we are just tired
Why is Tommy Tiernan so shocked someone isnt religious? Im an atheist and the more important question is why would anyone believe in utter nonsense without a single piece of evidence?! His face though...like, how could you not be one religion or another?
I’d say it’s more a reaction to the fact that it was unusual in those days. Ireland used to be a religious place where the church had major influence and to not be a believer was very much against the grain. The politics in Northern Ireland would’ve also pressured people to nail one’s colours to the mast and religion again was part of that. Declaring yourself as non-religious in some areas would’ve been treated with suspicion.
Stephen Rea meekly stepping into the church at my father's funeral was a gesture of great kindness.

One of the most underrated actors of our time! This NY fan will watch anything he does!
Not underrated at all
Another excellent video. These interviews always want me to look up the guest and delve into their lives to know more about them.
Incredible. It's a talent as an interviewer just to let people BE. Tiernan has it.
Great interview. Brilliant actor ❤.
My wife and I recently had the thrill of talking with him, and he is a gentleman.
Fond memories of all these chats. More the merrier.
Great interview. Here's at least five more words for the algorithm.
