I still remember back in 2011 watching the videos Elliott did talking about his songs from his “playing in the shadows” album (one of my all time favourite albums) and loved how different he was to lots of other artists. His lyrics were about partying/girls and it really is and still relatable in this day and age. I have seen him live over 7 times and he never disappoints me. Such a talented and down to earth person. Thank you for all the music you have gave us, as I have really related too it

Fantastic idea from Example there in regards to his mother sending him to drama school as an outlet for his misbehaving in school. Never thought of that as an idea for that sort of issue but it's potentially huge and should be looked at more across the country for sure!

I would love to see some more: psychologists. I read your book and I loved the part where you wrote about how humans work and how to win an argument and the belief system etc. I wanna learn more about human behaviour, etc.

I thought you had left a couple of words off the beginning by mistake when I read the blog for this podcast... But that's because I'm an old bird and haven't heard of Example. Having listened though, I have to say Example by name, example by nature...
Elliott's honesty and vulnerability when talking about his early days & struggles & what sustains him now is gold dust for men and boys and I hope lots of them hear his words. It shows that it's OK to experiment, because that's pretty normal but then you can come back to your core values when you are ready and grow as a person and when you do... The universe will be waiting!

I've knew only a couple of his songs, discovered All of his albums recently. So now I've got a feeling like I e never listened and knew any music before!! He's totally mind blowing, incredible artist and personality..I can't get enough of him!
I also wanna say I'm a single mom, and the father of my children wasn't present at the birth process of our 2nd son at all.. and then I hear this Interview, and Example is like expert with giving birth and breastfeeding. Remember after my baby was born, his 5 years old brother said to me:" mom, so our daddy is not there, am I supposed to be a father for Robin?"
So this interview has literally hit me straight into my heart and made me cry the night over..
So touching and honest, I'm happy there are still gentleman and real talented ppl out there

Really interesting exploring his neurodiversity Steven. I, one of many parents of young children are constantly trying to make the right decisions for our children in terms of the correct school setting etc. Would love to hear these questions asked and explored more often.

Wonderful insight into Elliot’s world. I’ve always loved examples music and I know he’s a really sound guy and very good to his fans. It’s rare you get such normal people in his line of work and I loved this one 😊

I served Example two times where I worked as he was the act for private functions. Two seperate events, and was pleasantly suprised how nice the dude was. Even if the people the function was for were genuinely awful. Im not into his music at all, but the guy definitely knows what he's doing. It would be nice if more of his music was out there for people to hear rather than those two hits that get played over and over again. Im pretty sure he's sick of them.
This interview has made my day. I love example, his music has seen me through some of the toughest times in my life. All round brilliant musician and a great man. Such a genuine vibe. Brilliant interview, thanks

I had no idea how much I needed to hear about his children. I’m having a similar issue in that my first child was so advanced with her speech, that I’m sat everyday wondering if my second child will ever get there, he’s only 19 months at current with possibly one word but I think the contrast to his older sister makes 19 months and no speech feel so much worse than it maybe is. I’m glad that there is light at the end and even if he takes longer he’ll get there when he gets there and I need to stop thinking the worst.
My daughter is 4, she can answer any question if asked. But if not asked/engaged she has zero speech. Hyper intelligent but delayed at a couple of things. I have been through thousands of hours of grieving/researching and am only just accepting that this is her journey. You're doing a great job.

Agree. I’m sure his schedule took its toll on their relationship also, Australia is very far away from the UK and going away each summer to tour must’ve played its part. They’re very amicable though and it’s lovely to see they’re still good friends 😊 he’s now in a new relationship and they’ve posted a photo together with Erin which is lovely ❤
