  • What are projections? Are you projecting? Maybe you are doing it everyday without noticing
Projections in Psychology is transferring negative qualities onto another person or object. These can be feelings, habits, emotions. It is also called psychological transference.
We see psychological projections in families, couples, work places and actually everywhere. Even small jokes on racisms, homophobia or sexism have an underlying issues of projections. When an individual cant handle strong feelings, it usually results as hatred toward others. These can also become a normal thing in a society in time. And that will lead to hatred against a group of people because they are different.
When we have gaps in our knowledge, those gaps can be filled by projecting ourselves onto others. It is a defense mechanism. When you know the thoughts are not socially acceptable you project them onto somebody else
How does Projections affect your relationships. Projections will prevent you from seeing people for who they really are. This will cause conflict. And if it tends to go on for a long time it can cause trauma.
    And remember,
    Trauma equals Disconnect
    Healing equals Reconnect

If someone lies and you get angry and call them a liar i would say you were angry cause you feel betrayed and you no longer believe you truly know them. It takes time to heal that. Not sure you are a liar yourself
