    Excellent work! The vast amount of detail involved, hundreds of hours in planning and the huge amount of physical effort needed to keep going day after day on a one man project like this most people will not appreciate. I know what doing something like this takes and only a small percentage of people will be able to push through to the end - great work!

      Thank you very much!
      The daily moving of tons of material was tough. Good to see the effort came over. Still got lots of landscaping to finish it all off.
      Cheers

    Absolutely brilliant, thanks so much for this video as I’m about to embark on a similar, but much smaller project myself. the subjects you have covered so professionally will be of enormous help.. yes you can always get the professional’s in, but the satisfaction and learning by doing it yourself is as important to me as the finished project. Thanks again

      Glad it was helpful! I learned a lot. I need to extend our house so this was a great training exercise.

    Excellent build. A tremendous amount of planning went into you drainage and electrical ground works. For your next concrete project 😊 you can have concrete mixed on site. It’s called onsite mixed concrete. No waste and whatever mix and fibres you need. A very useful way of using fusion360 to calculate volume. 👍👍

    Wow a lot more work than my 7M x 3M workshop, I dug the foundations by hand as we can't get any machinery in the back. My wife and daughter mixed concrete in a cement mixer and I an my daughter did the base in 3 sections as much as we could mix and tamp in one go. Mine was about 6" deep concrete over the whole area.

      Yep that’s a lot of work.
      Thankfully my neighbours let me drive a digger through their driveway and through a fence panel we moved.
      Would have been really tough if they weren’t so nice!

    Great work and it is taking shape! Well done. Can't wait to see the workshop beginning to emerge.

    Nicely done. Welcome to younger Mark world and occasional Mark world 😁 I smile when you talk about the plate compactor being heavy. I was running a 400kg plate compactor 40 years ago. Only moves when you have it running! Nicely done work. And thankfully you are not a civil engineer. They don't have a clue how to do this kind of work!

    I'll be interested to find out how the fiber reinforced concrete works out for you. I hope it stays nice and solid and you don't end up with a cracked mess!

    • @CazualHaze
      @CazualHaze  8 месяцев назад

      I must admit to being a bit sceptical. The supplier and specialists I talked to said it would be fine. Having said that so far no cracks at all I did cut a relief in it halfway but even that has not cracked fully. I will be adding a screed as well so even if it does crack I probably wont even know.
      Cheers

      @@CazualHaze My first experience with this system was in 1989. I frequent that building often and there are zero problems. Properly done it is a very solid way to lay a strong concrete floor.
