    Great work as always! Wish I could find decent contractors near me. Tell your dad to get back to work he’s too young to retire!! Lol could you have added a triangle wooden truss across the corners to stretch it up?

    I really like that you guys pour the ribbons as a mono slab! I've seen that done so much over the years and always either seperate or non at all and just poured a small bed of concrete about an inch thick and set in pavers/brick and after a few years, if just set in small bed of crete-2 years max, and if seperate, ussually around 5 years, it starts to sink in and fast and then bricks crack and come out in chunks and it looks lik crap... If its a driveway, it does fbreak and fall apart super fast, like within 2 years or so you start to see signs of issues forming. Your slabs will stay the same for the life of the slab!!!
    The detail of roundover of the groute to match the concrete lines was awesome!!! that looks absolutely awesome and a really nice touch to it!

    Beautiful work. It's nice to see a project go from neglected backyard to high-end hotel courtyard look. The land and weather there is such a different world than me too. On a below average year of rainfall, we'll still get 60 inches of rain in a year. I have to fight back the trees and plants that grow naturally around my house. So, it's fascinating for me to see yard solutions in an arid climate.

  • @mikethepainter

    Excellent work. I dont know how you guys can rod so smooth without a guide board. I am no expert but we usually use a stake on top of the rod to guide our depth. But yours looks pretty level without it. Great work. Should last for many years. Great Job....I have no idea how someone could figure they are entitled not to pay you. Just floors me.

    • @OdellCompleteConcrete
      @OdellCompleteConcrete  10 месяцев назад

      Yes it is unfortunate there is people like that. We also use screed pins to guide our levels. We just didn't have the stake on top of the rod

      @@OscarMendez-n9k Agreed. 99% of the concrete companies I’ve seen or worked with in my area make a wet screed with grade pins and rod off that. Never seen roding on top of a set 2x4 until I started watching the California concrete channels.
