David, please don't ever stop narrating your videos, it's like a 100% of the value in them 👍
I hear that.
TY
Mate I couldn’t agree more.
Yay!! THE LEGEND RETURNS. We’ve been waiting for you 😂
TY
The most calming and professional voice in the business. Always a pleasure watching your work, David.
TY
Appreciate
David, I just wanted to thank you for your videos. I started my own business pouring concrete about six years ago. My business started slow and now I stay pretty consistent. And now we are in the process of buying my first ever house! I’ve watched your videos and learned so much, and have been inspired from your videos. So I just want to say thank you. You’re the goat of concrete finishers.
That is awesome!
GL

Nice to see the boss at work! ❤

Great job blending the new pour with the old house and existing concrete, making it look like the original.
Thank you! Cheers!
So glad to see David back. His boys are great, but still have a lot to learn from the old man. Great work as always!
TY
Never thought i would enjoy watching videos about laying concrete. Good stuff!

Glad you enjoyed it
I ever poured any concrete but I enjoy watching and learning
TY
Awesome looking job brother.👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸
Ty
David,
It's good to see you back in Cali getting quality work done. As many home owners know, now days it's harder to find contractors that do quality that behind there work.
It's unfortunate about the bad luck that your son has came across, but he has remained professional and that said a lot.
I know that he is a man of his own, but he can always pull wisdom from his pops.
God bless.
Live and learn.
TY
this guy doesnt even put gravel under the concrete. he sucks
It's good to hear you on here but your son is doing awesome!
Thank you!
Great work. That finish wouldn't be my choice, but to each his own.
True
Lol

Makes sense.
TY

I am 71...hah.....but I sure love you and your guys precision.....best wishes, Paul

TY
Nice! I enjoy watching you guys work. It reminds me when I was a concrete pumper in the early 90's.
Right on
TY
Very nice Mr Odell. It was nice meeting you at WOC!
You too!
Thanks for coming
5:13 foreigner I been waiting for some concrete like you 😂😂😂
Good catch, and a good tune
I love your channel, it's almost like ASMR lol
Wow, thank you!
Wow, that looks so much nicer. It will be great for Christmas decorations and I’m sure that the Jehovah’s Witnesses as well as Mormons and high speed Internet fiber optic sales people will be thrilled to visit that house with that large area.
Star link solves that problem.
We like this type of content! We would have also liked to see drain work flawlessly.
Great
TY
Always professional, no mater if its a small or a big job
We try
BEAUTIFUL 🎉

You and me both!
The master at work, your work and the quality is unreal !

Family seems to be key. You guys work so hard. Im amazed you actually complete everything you start to the letter. You guys are tractors no con-tractors. Nothing but backbone and honesty. Your a really good man/family. Just had to say. no matter the logo double Ux2 which I hate. But your no lazy speculative puppet. I respect that. regards
Appreciate

"...when he was decorating cakes..." LOL

Always like your videos and love your narration. By the way, the thumbnail for this video said the owner is watching. Is it wrong for the owner to watch? It is so interesting to see the process, which is why I watch your videos, if I was paying for a job I'd be watching too. Thank you for sharing your skills and knowledge! God bless your people skills!
You are correct
If I lived in California, I'd love to come work for your company.
Maybe one day!
👍👍
Looks great as always. Do you ever strike the joints in the brick borders instead of rubbing them.
If the I'm matching what was done that way, then yes I do, but otherwise I usually do it with a sponge
First 💪🏻

I have a rock salt finish on my drivewy in fla,all it does is grow mold and hold dirt is there an way to refinish thr surface without removing and replacing the whole driveway
Penetrating sealer
David how do you like your battery cut off saw? Does it have enough power to handle things a gas saw can cut? How’s the battery life? Is there a water hook up?
Water and dry vacuum hook ups. Does everything gas powered does but better.
I also have a 14" battery powered that shreds the gas-powered stuff.
If the owner wants to watch he needs to subscribe to the channel like the rest of us.
I think he is but, may want to be in the video as well.
10 mil tape works good protecting the grates on the drains. The glue don’t stick to the grate. And stands up to the concrete
10 mil pipe wrap tape, I assume?
Doesn't stick very well though.
@@OdellCompleteConcrete 10 mil does , 20 mil doesn’t
The efflorescence on the red clinker bricks are salts that are not washed out. White efflorescence. These can be easily removed by adding 5% hydrochloric acid to 1 liter of water and treating the stone with a brush. You should use acid-proof gloves. Afterwards you can simply rinse the stones with warm water to remove the acid. What does the acid do? It makes the stone slightly rough and allows the stone to excrete the salts and also that it dries faster.
Sounds good
TY
Those aren’t clinkers
What is this concrete made of?
Sand cement rock and water
@@OdellCompleteConcrete what fraction of the stone?
Have you ever considered a slote drain 4" hard pipe under the slab then saw cut through the 3/4 " cold joint into the pipe wallah looks great anyway give it a try
Good idea. just got back from WOC, and seen some slot drains similar to what your describing.
@@OdellCompleteConcrete did you make a video at the show?
Ya
Are you doing Angie’s list ?ime a concrete contractor & thinking to ramp up business once I start up again I moved from Monterey to Fresno it’s like start up mode what’s your thoughts
It may help a little
Hope you all got hearing protection being around that jackhammer
Never leave home without it
I don't like when on time lapse. I like it when you can see whole process 😊 JMI
Good to know!
Never heard of a rock salt finish is that a California thing ,i live in the northeast and that look comes natural over time when people salt their walkways and driveways in winter.
Warm weather thing for sure, popular about 30 years ago
Hey Odell what do you think about that customer your son had that didn’t want to pay
I was on that job for a minute and heard about some of the issues, but I didn't think it would come to withholding full payment, that's why I when I see fresh concrete on the ground from another Contractor that looks good. It sends red flags like what happened where did he go; I'm not working here and end up like the other guy.
@@OdellCompleteConcrete atleast you were able to make a video on it! 👍🏻 I might have stopped the job after the first day or two
I like this pattern of videos, since the last video of the guy who didn’t want to pay, now this.. hell if it’s popular and takes off make this a thing from now on. 😂
Bingo
Hopefully you were good here on this job, sounded like some one was going to have a asthma attack
Golden
Hey David, I’m Martin I own a plumbing company here in Orange County like you on your company in Orange County I’m having a house built in Lake Havasu would be nice to have your company or you come out and pour it backyard slab for me when my house is done. He probably don’t have a crew out there though, let me know though I like your videos and maybe you could build a wall for me to around my property in the backyard
Sure, no problem
TY
If I had to do my salt finish patio over again, I wouldn't do it. Those little crevices collect dirty and debris. Even with a blower it was impossible to clean. Just food for thought for anyone considering.
True
Mate I could listen to you sell sewing machines. 😂
It could happen.
TY
Lately these jobs are being supervised by the home owners for some reason, so intimidating.
wild out there
I'm a self employed remodeler and I hate when customers think they know how to do your job like your last video when they stiffed you so uncool!
I hear that
How is your son doing? Getting paid from that guy David❤
No payment yet
These thumbnails are too much!🤣
Bingo
Lol
Francisco
People don't understand, that by standing there watching the men, DOES NOT make them work faster or better! GO AWAY, the men know their job, and they will get it done BETTER without you watching.
Damn that looks nice!!
TY
