The Wayans brothers where forced to write the script for Scary Movie 2 in a few months. After that they did not want to make another Scary Movie and they were not involved in the sequels.
Scary Movie 3 is good, the Zuckers from the Naked Gun movies took over and they did a decent job, but 4 and 5 are quite bad.

The basketball scene is parodying the And1 commercials from back in the time this came out. also the Firestone blowout was referencing a major lawsuit against Firestone tires blowing out. Come to find out i believe it was due to the Ford Explorers turning radius being too much for the tires.

Scary Movie 3 is a lot of fun if you're familiar with 'The Ring', 'Signs', and '8 Mile'. Cindy and Brenda return, Charlie Sheen is funny as hell, and you get supporting characters played by Leslie Nielsen and George Carlin (2 all-time comedy GOATs). Different style than the first 2 movies, but there are still some quality laughs.
The whole conversation about 'How can you wake up dead?' is so well-written, still wrecks me every time.
The Wayans were cheated out of their own franchise and they dropped it after this.
Not really. The Wayans kept making the same movies with a different title and a better business deal.
The 3rd one has its moments but I preferred it when the Wayans brothers were in charge.

SNL did a couple of skits on The Exorcist... One Had Jenna Ortega which was good, but the "Exorcist 2" with Richard Pryor was Better! It Followed along the lines of Richards stand up "If the Exorcist had Black Preachers"... You'll love them!
