True story. I'm a pharmacist, and me and tech had an intern coming in to learn. I said, let's do the meow game until she figures it out (gotta mess with interns a bit). She figured it out, but not till about 4pm. We easily got 100 meow's in by then
I worked in a call centre briefly as a young man. Me and my buddy would try and outdo the other on alternating calls. Best I managed was 43 so that's good going
I sneak in a meow every now and then at work with the nurses I work with, I get some shit grins from the younger doctors who know what I'm doing. The confused looks I get and my reactions of "I didn't say meow" are priceless

Broken Lizard group is Genius!! (5 main guys in the movie) All College buddies in real life!! If you love this.. you will enjoy their other movies for sure!! Super Troopers 2.. Beer Fest.. Club Dread (Horror Comedy) and more.. they are very funny!!

You'll love The Slammin' Salmon, it's these guys and Michael Clarke Duncan (Talladega Nights, The Green Mile). He's the funniest part of the movie by far.

Their next movie was Club Dread, a slasher parody. It's a little less original because they are working with an established genre, but I liked it even better. It includes my favorite Bill Paxton character (R.I.P.), Coconut Pete.
Coconut Pete! Sadly, the guy he was parodying with that character, Jimmy Buffet, also just recently passed away too. I loved them both! RIP

My friends and I blind rented this movie and Kung Pow back to back evenings. We couldnt believe we stumbled on 2 of the funniest movies we'd ever seen 2 nights in a row. That is one of my favorite memories of being a dumb drunk 20 something.

Club Dread by them is a great spoof horror film. Bill Paxon being a Jimmy Buffet rip off to funny. RIP to both.

Super Troopers 2 is just as great
In my multiple encounters with various law enforcement agencies ive notice local police seem to be dicks. State troopers seem very serious and uptight but are usually professional at worst and tend to give a lot of warnings. Sheriff's deputies are usually pretty cool and will be as chill as you are.

A liter of cola would REALLY hit the spot right about now.
One of my fave comedies of all time! Absolutely must see Beerfest as well. If you want to complete the Super Troopers series, 2 was finally made ten years after the first one. While it doesn’t break any new ground and is not as good as the first, if you are a fan of this one, I believe you’ll like it also.
Beerfest is probably my favorite movie from Broken Lizard, but I really enjoyed Club Dread too.

These guys have been friends for decades. Check out Puddle Cruiser it's the first film that they did together and I believe that most of them were still in film school when they made it.
The Broken Lizard guys are so amazing. Checkout their other stuff as well. Super Troopers 2 is well worth it and Club Dredd is their best. Beerfest is hilarious as well

27:10 I have some fun news for ya about the tv series idea
There’s a show that’s been running a few years now called “Tacoma FD”, it’s a tv comedy by the same broken lizard guys that very much bites off the same style of comedy as classic Super Troopers. The only disappointment is Jay is behind the camera unfortunately, but “Farva” is the Chief of the place (it’s not Farva the character) which leads to some fun shenanigans
You said you might have to check out ST2 to revisit these characters, so I thought I'd at least warn you: like many years-later sequels, it's not remotely as good as the original. It comes from the more current era of Broken Lizard, which is just... kind of a sad shadow of its former self. Beerfest is kind of a toss up with Super Troopers for their best work. And Club Dread and Slammin' are both worth a watch. Everything else is rather skippable though.
Watched this at the theater on base, at the Shady J, in North Cakalackie. Could not stop laughing. Not ALL of Broken Lizard's movies are this funny. But, they definitely have some gems.

They'd talked about a sequel for a long time, but spent their time making other movies. They didn't want to do a sequel that couldn't stand up, but the fans asked for over a decade and so they finally made it. It's crowd funded, and the funding that was donated was millions more than the couple mill they said they needed to make it. I think the sequel is excellent, and just as funny. From what I understand they might make a third. I'd recommend other movies by them, but with them you can't go wrong. Their movies are all great.

Their other two above average and under appreciated films are the slasher comedy Club Dread and the drinking comedy Beerfest.

Broken Lizard is the best. There's a great comedy special from two the guys called Fat Man Little Boy which is undefeated.

My buddy who was a weed dealer at the time tried to be a cop because of this movie. He took 2 years of criminal justice classes taught by a cop while actively selling weed. He went to class with QPs and a mac11 in his backpack.

If you liked this, you will love Beer fest & Club Dread.
Fun fact: they actually did chug maple syrup for that scene. Just thinking about it makes me want to hurl. It's not really a cult classic, it was wildly popular when it came out.
