Criminally underrated movie.
It's egregious for sure, this is one of the best comedies of the era
So crazy was literally checking out another vid on this account and saw this pop up, got so happy
Agreed
It really is underrated. I still laugh as hard as I did when it came out.
Yes, it should’ve been a bigger movie. I had never even heard of it until the early 2000s. It was hilarious and should’ve been bigger than it was
"What's your angle boy!!?? You plottin' on me!??" will forever be hilarious 😆
Me and my sister quote this all the time and laugh hysterically
Making my agent orange act up hahaha
because of your profile I read that in Hartman's voice lol! may Ronald Lee Ermey rest in peace
I love that Major Payne is actually doing *the correct sign language* in the beginning around 7:30, man can tell you he’s gonna beat your ass in every language
This is hands down one of the greatest comedies of all time.
That's a big claim, but in you case you are correct 👍🏿💯
I've probably seen this movie a thousand times! One of our 9 VHS's tapes we had in my house as a kid, and we wore that mother out 😆 and it still holds up!
We did too. My friends and I used to quote that "If he in there, he ain't happy!" line at each other all the time. That and the Little Engine That Could story still kill me to this day. I can't believe that Damon Wayans didn't have a more lasting career. He sort of got supplanted by his younger brothers. Same with their dad. That whole family is crazy talented.
@@EvanFowler Damon actually stepped out of the limelight on his own. Watch his HBO special "The Last Stand?".
@@EvanFowler their dad? what are you even talking about? LMFAO. Keenan is their brother too.
YES! This and Ace Ventura When Nature Calls.
“What do you want Mr. Pee-body?”
That line always cracks me up!
And I love the scene when he defended Stone from his stepdad, after the initial attack Pain instantly gets between Stone and his stepdad. It shows that despite his methods he is highly protective.
"You'll get no sympathy from me! You want sympathy, look in the dictionary between shit and syphilis! That's where you'll find my sympathy!"
I love this underrated, almost forgotten classic.
Fun Fact: To research his character, Damon Wayans endured several weeks of DI qualification training, learning the requirements of a Marine Corps Drill Instructor, as well as other aspects of Marine Corps training.
Wayans Family Fact: In the scene when Major Payne (Damon Wayans) first meets the cadets, he screams at one of them saying "I am not your damned brother" in fact, he's his uncle in real life. The cadet is played by Damien Dante Wayans.
USMC Enthusiast Fact: Despite the campy portrayal of Major Payne (Damon Wayans), his uniform shows the Scuba Diving Badge and Parachutist Badge. In the US Marine Corps, this almost certainly means that Payne came from an elite Marine Reconnaissance or Force Reconnaissance unit which would certainly justify his war grizzled character. Until the recent formation of the Marine Raider Regiment (itself formed by former Force Recon operators), Marine Force Recon was considered the very tip of the spear when it comes to the Marines' combat fighting elite.
I use that sympathy line all the time.
stan smith ...Me too! 🤣
Go in Peace and Walk with God. 😎 👍
Well damn. The more ya know.
holz shit thanks for all this sweet facts
You're welcome!
Go in Peace and Walk with God. 😎 👍
I loved this movie growing up!
May I introduce Bam Bam Bigelow one of the old school wrestlers from the days of WWF
That scene in which he imagines his life as a married man had me on the floor laughing.
“Nobody does the Robot anymore”? Look like he was killing it to me. That scene never gets old.
I know that the Wayne's family is well known and acknowledged. Even so, I don't feel as though there really isn't enough respect being put down on that name. I dare say comedic gold on this one.
Very memorable movie from when I was young. Wish there weren't so many great parts edited out:
"Boy, I am two seconds from being on you like white on rice in a glass of milk on a paper plate in a snowstorm." - Major Payne.
*Major Payne* is a remake of a 1955 Charlton Heston movie called *The Private War of Major Benson.*
She was in a movie with Kid-n-Play called Class Act.
One of my fav movies as a kid & still great as an adult
Fantastically hilarious movie! Lots of real old school Marine Corps mentality in the mix (taken to an extreme, of course)! Fun reaction video!
I loved Major Payne, as a kid and now as an adult in my 30s, he just plays it so well; funny, strong, and heart warming. "If he's still in there he ain't happy", that gets me every time.
Considering "he" just took 1150 grains of .45 ACP, I'd say so.
@@benn454 It never hurts to be thorough.
@@benn454Imagine afterwards if one of the other students just fell out of the closet, having been hiding to scare Tiger!
I love this movie, I think I was 14 or 15 when it came out and the nostalgia is amazing
He went from the Little Engine That Could to a Vietnam flashback. 😂
Freckle Face Cartoon! 😂
I’ve seen this movie so many times, I can almost quote it word for word. There was a time as a kid where I watched it every day. I love this movie.
This movie came out when my kids were in middle and elementary school. They are Army brats. Their dad was a major in the Army at the time and we were stationed in Germany. Every kid on that base LOVED this movie.
Anything with any of the Wayans siblings in it, I'll watch 🍿
🤣🤣🤣We had a Drill Sergeant in 2002 at Ft Jackson, SC that looked so much like Maj Payne. He played it up during Reception. He was a good sport about it. He v was also Rotating out bavk to Garrison....🤣🤣🤣🤣 It was freaking EPIC!!!!
“If he still in there, he ain’t happy.”😂😂😂
This brings me back! My sister and I used to watch this all the time. So many great quotes that are now a part of my family's lives.
You missed two movie references in the first 10 minutes. The first is the scene in the room flipping out. That was taken from "Apocalypse Now". The second was when he said "What we have here is a failure to communicate", is taken from the Paul Newman prison film "Cool Hand Luke". Both legend's in the film industry!!
15:27 When he yells, he sounds like Austin St. John :3
Damon was also great teaming up with Bruce Willis in "The Last Boy Scout."
Heavyweights is a good comedy from similar time Ben stiller is great in it
My cousin and I went and saw this when it came out. We were huge "In Living Color" fans, so we always hit up the movies with the guys from there in them. Then, we bought the vhs as soon as it hit the shelves. We used to quote it constantly. I still do, lol. It's definitely one of the best movies of my childhood.
One of the 90's classics. It really is criminally underrated.
This movie made a ton of money and rightly so, great intertainment.
When I was young I spent an entire summer rotating between Major Payne, Coming to America and Cool Runnings on a daily basis. That was a great summer.
"Паровозик, который смог"))))). Обожаю этот момент в фильме
I love the bedtime story.
"Lucky ass" LOLOL! truth.
I had Drill Sgt named Payne. That man was harder than a coffin nail.
The way they would eat their meals really fast always made me laugh
The biker is a famous wrestler Bam Bam Bigelow who was one of the most awesome wrestlers and a real tough guy, he started out as a bouncer at bars
“What chu smiling for, you find a piece of candy in your pocket?” 😂😂
we all need a mentor like Major Payne LOL
Fun fact: this was directed by Nick Castle (Michael Myers 78) apologies if you mention this in the video, I’ve just started watching it. 😊
Major Payne is probably my favorite comedy I've ever seen.
Bam Bam Bigelow making an appearance, RIP big guy...
Fun fact. This movie was directed by Nick Castle… Who played Michael Myers in the original Halloween.
I'm glad someone finally reacted to this movie. Have it on VHS somewhere.
I haven’t thought about or seen this movie in probably 15 years. I loved this movie as a kid and as soon as I saw it pop up in my recommended feed I knew I had to watch it. I forgot just how much I loved this movie, but now I’m gonna have to find it on dvd or at least buy a digital copy. It’s just so good and so much fun. I think I first saw this when I was about 6 or so in the mid 90’s. One of my friends even did an impression of Major Payne in front of our gym class in elementary school, but I can’t recall why he did it. He did that whole speech where Major Payne introduces himself to the cadets! Such great memories of this movie. Another great movie like this that I remember from my childhood is called Heavyweights. It’s a movie where overweight kids are sent to a summer camp type place to have fun and lose weight and it’s in the same vein as this movie and other similar movies of the time. It’s good fun. They just don’t make movies like these anymore, but they’ll always hold a place in my heart as the movies I watched and loved as a kid.
I quote this movie all the time.
oh yeah, this is a classic for me. " you plotting on me boy" aw man it never gets old : P
Showed my kids this movie a couple of years ago… they loved it. Army guys have Rambo, Navy guys have Top Gun, Marines have Major Payne 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I almost forgot how much I would get a kick out of watching it again.
Love this movie as major Payne was basically my dad
My favorite line is “MAJOR PAYNE JUST TERMINATE THE BAD MAN WITH EXTREME PREJUDICE.. and if he still in there, he ain’t happy”
'don't you watch Oprah'' I've always wanted to use this at some point in my life.
First time I saw this movie was when it was first released on video. It was my 21st birthday. I was having a party at my apt with friends. One of my friends brought over this movie just to have on in the background. I knew nothing about it. We were pretty drunk and we were really high. Bout half way thru the movie we started paying a little more attention to what was going on in the movie, and before long we were all laughing our asses off. The movie was so funny that at the end we immediately watched it again because we had missed the first half of the movie. This movie was definitely pleasant surprise. Now it's obviously very much a kids movie with very juvenile humor. But it helped immensely that we were really high when we watched it. lol
This is one of my favorite comedy movies of all time. Awesome reaction to this classic hilarious movie.
25:10 😮 the blind cadet and the poor service dog 😢🐕
"Not the dog" 😂
That first contest they were doing is called pugil sticks. It simulates using your rifle with a bayonet attached. Although it's usually 1v1
I watched this movie so many times growing up.
I watched it in 1995 on VCR. When I was 15yo. And watch it again. Thanx
The little engine that could story is still me and my cousins favorite part.
Man i grew up on this😂 glad you liked it
One of my favorite movies from my childhood!
My son, an army Blackhawk helicopter pilot, sleeps with his eyes half open. He has since he was a baby. It totally freaked out the guys in his unit when he was deployed to Afghanistan.
Sorry for late comments, I'm catching up on your videos...tyvm. 👍
ONE OF MY FAVORITE MOVIES LOL
My favorite comedy of all time. Also elite ad work. Great explanation and it was cool seeing you play and are knowledgeable. Bout to download the game now. Raid needs to keep you on the marketing team
One of the best comedic movies ever.
One of my favorite movies! It was movie family night once a week when was young lol.
"i might have made a little anonymous call, you didnt think they were just gonna hand it to ya didjeh?"
Top favorites of all time!!!!
i dont expect someone to open a soda like that, but i do expect them to know how.
its a good life filter.
love this movie, watched back in the day
I think that was my favorite movie from my childhood
I love major Payne I've watched it when I was a kid and laughed my ass off...
This is one of my favorite movies!
Classic movie. So glad you did this reaction dude much props. I respect you so much for this. Keep up the videos. I will definitely subscribe.
Fun Fact: Cadet D is actually Damon Wayne's nephew.
I find that Shawn Wayans looks alot like his older brothers especially Damon by the face.
Dir ye dir!!! Kills me every time 🤣🤣🤣
14:15 I saw this happen while standing in formation once. MTI walked around the corner to find a trainee busting some moves, crossed his arms for 4 seconds before screaming at him 😂 hilarious
Another fun movie that co-stars the actress that played Hillary Banks is the movie 'The Ladies Man' with Tim Meadows. The movie is based on the SNL skit created by Tim Meadows. I always really liked this movie back when it came out.
Did you know Frank Castle directed this movie. He played Michael Myers in the original Halloween movies
Love this movie! Thank you for reacting to it.
When I was a kid the 1st 2 movies 8 watched with war fighting was first it was Forrest Gump then Full Metal Jacket
Watch it anytime it's on.
When I was in, this was the most quoted movie in the Marine Corps.
Very happy you got that sponsorship money!
The kid that Major Payne says “I’m not your brother” is actually Damon’s nephew Damien Wayans.
The annoying sounding kid that became a traitor was the lead in "Children of the Corn" horror movie. The big guy they paid to beat Payne was WWE star Bam Bam Bigelow.
I was wondering if you seen the stand up that Marlon Wayans has done 2 weeks after Chris Rock did his Netflix show, it's called God Loves Me. Hilarious most funniest stand up I ever seen Marlon Wayans do in years. If I had to rate between him and Chris Rock I'd say even it was close I'd have to say Marlon killed it.
I didn't remember that Michael Ironside was in this. He's played a lot of tough guys.
this is one of my favourite comedy movies of all time!
9:08 Chris Owen: I Look Like Curly From The Three Stooges
I loved this film when I saw it, very underrated.
Now you need to watch David Cronenberg's The Fly.
Love this movie, thanks
The actor who played D is actually Damon Wayne's real live nephew, Damian Wayne.
I subscribed and hit the bell so I can see what you come out with in the future.
"Even Major Payne is weak to the power of Hilary Banks."
You're damn right.
