It doesn't matter if you've seen this movie once or 100 times it's still just as funny.
I had seen this movie several times as a child, always loved it. Rewatched it as an adult and it’s somehow even funnier 🤣 even during the reactions, I’m dying of laughter 😂😭

Damon. Hands down. Marlon has his moments but Damon is versatile in his comedic abilities and your right. The sister was funny AF!
Possibly one of the greatest movies ever made.
When he grabs the kid and flips him around into arm lock, and my favorite...when he gets so into the story for the kid he screams and goes batty about how they will never take him alive.

Damon is the funniest. His stand-up is underrated, and he was arguably the best member on In Living Color. My Wife and Kids was a great sitcom, and he made great movies, as you can see. Followed by Keenan and Shawn and Marlon. Don't sleep on Damon Jr , he's a solid comedian as well as an accomplished TV actor.

Mayor Payne is still my favorite movie. Watch this movie so many times as a kid and I still know every line to the movie. My 3 favorite parts are Major Payne is Payne dancing in the club, Payne telling Tiger a story because he was scared of the Boogeyman in the closet and the tournament towards the end of the movie. Oh I'm 34
I'm 35, and I grew up with this movie too! So many quotes that are still a part of my household to this day.

Jaws made me afraid of both sharks and the ocean. As for Cujo, I think of that big dog from the Sandlot movie when he jumped up and ate that baseball.
No matter how you look at it you kind of have to love how he responded to a guy who is theoretically beating his wife. I remember my dad introducing me to this and I loved every freaking second of it. Major pain is a world-class bad@$$

Major Payne was always one of my favorite films growing up.
Always wished they'd make a Sequel or at least a 4k release.
To me this has the same idk "feeling" as Down Periscope.
If anyone gets a chance definitely check it out, it's a Naval Comedy with a Great Cast and got me through a Mild Depression.

I think I’m a little more used to seeing both Keenan and Damon in more serious roles, but when they are coming with the jokes, they bring it. Then, I mainly grew up watching Shawn and Marlon but, Marlon is just so extra and over the top because of the energy that he brings to everything he does. So, I think I’ll go with Marlon as the Wayans that’ll probably get more laughs out of me.

I don't remember seeing it in theaters, but my sister and I grew up watching it. So many quotes that my family still uses to this day!
The kid at 8:17 grew up to become the Sherminator in the American Pie films. What’s really funny is the kid at 9:09 when the major yells at him saying “I am not your damn brother!” Is actually Damon’s nephew Damien Dante Wayans.
I had no idea he was the gang leader in Malibu's Most Wanted.
The problem with kids today, is that their parents do not prepare them for the distractions & adversities they will face in life. Things like peer pressure, rejection, and ridicule. These are the things that keep us from reaching our goals, and achieving our dreams. These are the things that lead us into smoking dope, and getting high.
Major Payne removed those distractions & adversities, by making these kids realize there were more important things in life, than just being cool.
The jokes were edgier back then, but they were fun since people could still take a damned joke.

3:33 LOL I was stationed at Camp Pendleton, except that I recall it being in California. The Marine Corps Base in Virginia would be Quantico.
My dad served 32 years active duty united states army all my friends growing up used to compare my dad to major Payne lol they all said he's the white major Payne lol dad was a drill sergeant for 10 years. Dad was blown up 56 times by ieds in Iraq he served 4 tours in Iraq had his back broke in an IED strike and was honorably medically retired with 32 years active duty service with 2 bronze stars with valor. Dad was killed in a motorcycle accident December 1st of 2020 rest in peace dad you will never be forgotten.
Damon is by far the funniest one, Marlon is the hardest working one, Keenan is the brain, Kim is creative and Shawn is the one that compliments 💯❤️

As a former R.O.T.C. Cadet they need to make more movies with kids spinning rifles [ with slings though] all of our M1903 Springfield rifles had slings. We also had M1's, but only the marines spun those.

A favorite of mine. I remember my dad taking me to see this in the theaters. I was a fan of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air as well. I was team Ashley too.....until I saw this movie with Karyn Parsons. Had to switch. Great reaction!
Most men in the military eat fast, especially if they were ever enlisted. My husband was enlisted before he got out, went to college, and went back in as an officer. He always finished eating before I ever sat down at the table. It is because when you eat in the mess hall, in battle or in the field, you might only have 5 to 10 minutes to finish your meal, and in battle, you have no idea when you might get your next one, so you eat as much as you can, as fast as you can.
i went into the army the year after this came out, all our drill sergents were big fans of this movie and they used a lot of the terminology from the movie in training like Front Leaning Rest Position MOVE!
the reason he eats fast at the club is because of the military training. durring training we had to scarf down our food standing and sliding down a long table out in the training areas, who ever was last had to drop off the line and dump their tray, so you had about 3 minutes to eat or you were gonna be hungry for the rest of the day lol.
this is one of my fav military movies to get nostolgic about my time in the service. love all his flashbacks, but my fav is when he makes the boogie man unhappy in the closet. i had a sergent just like him in my AIT job training

I loved this movie as a kid growing up. When I got to high school I joined the rotc and once I had my own platoon in my junior year I did a marching drill for one of my promotion tests with a ton of references to this movie thrown in for shits and giggles. I got docked some points for it but I still passed and got promoted so it was worth it!
So glad you like this one. For me, this was one of those staple comedies of my household growing up. Like we're having a bad day, and then we get home and pop in "Major Payne" in the VCR. Always a good time.
And it's super rewatchable. Give it about a month and then pop it on and you'll be rolling all over again.
Kim is one of the funniest Wayans. By the way, one of the students is actually Damon's nephew.
The last boy scout is another good one. Always liked damon in any role but he is great in comedy.
Damon is the funniest Wayan...Kim comes a close second (from her "In Living Color" days...especially when she did Grace Jones, lol) - but Damon, yeah, he slays. "This Ole' Box" with Anton - my fav character of his - "Detective Head" was hysterical too.

They are great and their comedic sarcastic one liners work well bouncing between them.
That movie put Damon on the top of my list, over his brothers.
I’d watch him in any role.
He’s also hilarious in the tv episodes, My Wife and Kids and Lethal Weapon.
Not even lying, this movie made me join JROTC in high school, which led to me joining the Marines. Other shit too, but this movie was a big part of it. I don't know what that says about me but hey, I love this damn movie. Good stuff bro ✊🏽

Check Damon out in Bamboozled, a Spike Lee film. Another alternative is his stand-up specials. Very underrated.
