Some-days-ago-I-learned why it happens: camera 1 and camera 2 record at different framerates. When I'm stacking clips in the editor, if I make no cuts or edits and just scroll to the end of the timeline, the two audio sources are WAY out of sync. At 30fps (or actually, 29.97fps) I can only nudge one frame at a time, so ~33ms. Sometimes the sync cannot be found.
If you're looking for a scale looking tire that looks good and crawls great, you found it! Might be a bit temperature dependent. So, over here in cold Europe, they will do fine 😁
These are by far my favorite scale tire they do very well in the sand film coveres rocks at my local quarry surprisingly not as good as prolike swamper xl but for small tight lug they're surprisingly good.
Funny you mention temps and compounds... My son and I were running a few trucks around in the snow the other day ambient temp right around 32F and when we brought them in his SCX10 III on green compound Landmines were frozen stiff. Basically no flex in the tread. The RGT I was running on G8 Flat Irons still were soft and pliable. That day we learned green compound must hate the freeze.
What you're doing right there is testing I don't have access to-- we get down into the low 30s... about 8-10 times a year. In the middle of the night. We soft round here. The girls be in parkas in the 50s. I do get to test the other end, though-- don't drive your Predator compound above ~85º, as they're hopeless by 95º.
I am looking for wheels and tires for my new vanquish. VR d carbon build, do you have any tires or can you send me a link to some? Thanks for all you do love watching you make me laugh
Uniform, so I don't think there will be sidewall issues. Usual sort of mid-ground thickness throughout, just over 1.5mm. Thinner than Flat Irons, about the same as the Trepadors.
They definitely don't pass any savings on to the customer, as Toyos and Intercos are the same price as Trenchers and Flat Irons. I think ProLine is very careful just to make their selling price the most expensive tires on the market, but they are oh so very close.
The don't load up nearly as badly as I thought they would, and the tread clears pretty quickly, but these are definitely not mud tires. Lugs are too small and there's too many of 'em.
That would be a no, followed by another no. Still far too expensive. It was bad enough that PL is the only place to get a Raptor for 313 wheelbase. I still feel dirty for buying it, and it's not even for me.
Dr Isotope, I think it’s time to send out invitations to the other 1/10 crawl tubers, world wide. A three truck derby of built or bought rigs. No robo rigging, but not many rules. Th they can have build ups then like comp out.
I'm not a ProLine guy, so I didn't even know they had a 4.45". I like that sub-4.5" size for portal rigs. Not at that price, and not unseating the Ripsaw, but the Toyo was surprisingly good.
@CrawlerCanyon jconcepts / landmines my bad... I always get the 2 mixed up and wanna call the landmine a trencher for what ever reason. Lol apologies 😆
I do forget to mention that a lot, don't I? It's just second nature now: tires come out of bag, tires get holes punched at the 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock positions. No exceptions.
HELP , I need to know what axles have a 4:1 ratio ??! I'm building a 6 hu-weeel and already have a 4 to 1 through axle and now I need to buy a front and rear matching axle thanks 👍
None that I can think of? "Standard" for 10.2 gears would be 8/30, or 3.75:1. Underdrive is 8/33, or 4.125:1. So, perhaps the 8/30 in the front and the 8/33 in the back? So you have a kind of gradually increasing underdrive?
@@CrawlerCanyon oh blimey maybe that's why I paid so little for this through axle , so there's no front axle by any brand you can think of that would be a match , dang I wish I knew what make this axle was I could at least buy another through axle the same and just use it at the rear and then I could make up an over drive front of any axle and use gearbox overdrive to compensate
The cheap kind! Amazon Method 105s, I think I have five or six sets in different colors. amzn.to/3SbNcYA These are "mono" because I bought a set of Injora deep offset, and for some reason the black wheels came with gold/orange rings. So the wheels swapped rings.
@@chrispearce9224 gonna be an impending color change-- those gold wheels have been put together and taken apart so many times the lands for the clamping screws look good. I don't think $30 beadlocks should be expected to handle like 100 build cycles. We'll see what cheap Method clone Amazon brings us next.
thank you . great channel the narrating and the humor is awesome . thank you for all the stuff you test and show us . i just started crawling 3 months ago cant get enough .@@CrawlerCanyon
I really enjoyed the little brother to this tire. My 4.75 toyos have been mounted to a car I haven’t run in a while
I’m glad you’re here. Hopefully taking in some ideas from one of the best for your tire test series.
Just ordered a full set earlier today for my incoming TRX-4 2021 Bronco. Planning an overland build.
The sale at Horizon was nice, $10 off a pair.
Excellent a scale tire that works! always nice to have options. as always thanks.
They were deceptively good, so glad you like them. \o/
Another great review from the canyon! Love the 2 mic stadium effect.

I love these tires, such a good scale look. Now I wanna try these with injora greens.
They will be an absolutely perfect fit.
Two days, two good tires.
I will definitely grab a set of these instead of the flatirons 😎. These and a pair of baja proXs 😎
Ok. I’ve got it. Release a glossary of crawling and climbing terms. In Canyon style

One of my buddies runs megalithic’s and the other runs ruptures on their VRD’s and both are awesome.
I lost power for a bit but made it back 🎉
I have the other Open Country’s that are 4.45….. all I can say is proline does open country’s right every time!
So how are these tires carcassally?
Uniform, so I don't think there will be sidewall issues. Usual sort of mid-ground thickness throughout, just over 1.5mm. Thinner than Flat Irons, about the same as the Trepadors.
Interested to see how they would do in SL3D squid inserts!
There is a 1:1 tire that the Deepwoods is based on. They aren’t sold in NA, just Europe and Asia.
Wow awesome video, and cool rc car 👍👍💯
These did really good, the only bad thing is the licensing, it probably raised a little bit the price, but they are good enough for that price
They definitely don't pass any savings on to the customer, as Toyos and Intercos are the same price as Trenchers and Flat Irons. I think ProLine is very careful just to make their selling price the most expensive tires on the market, but they are oh so very close.
Will they work well on dirt or mud?

Is there a quick view on proline super swampers?
Your suspension movement looks so fluid, what weight shock oil are you using?
Most rigs are on 300cst (give or take 27.5wt)
@@CrawlerCanyon Brilliant, thanks. I've 300 in my shocks already, yet to run it though.
So, the thing we all want to know...are these good enough that you would turn from your PL prejudice and buy a set...or DID you buy that set?!
That would be a no, followed by another no. Still far too expensive. It was bad enough that PL is the only place to get a Raptor for 313 wheelbase. I still feel dirty for buying it, and it's not even for me.

For a quick approximation Celcius = Fareinheight -30 /2 👍
How do these rate against jconcepts trenchers ?
I was thinking of getting the trenchers as im a jconcepts guy
But.. these look decent 🤔
I'm sitting here trying to figure out what would be the JConcepts equivalent of the ProLine Trencher...
@CrawlerCanyon jconcepts / landmines my bad... I always get the 2 mixed up and wanna call the landmine a trencher for what ever reason. Lol apologies 😆
You have to tell all the new guys that you pinch holes in the tire 🙂

Shame I can't send you a picture of it maybe to identify it's brand
i run the toyo open country mt 38x13.50r18 on jku lol
As long as you're not running Treps, everything is fine.
what kind of wheels are those
