    I posted this video yesterday but had to modify it, here's why: ruclips.net/user/postUgkxExBtp-aYQqrai8hZyNq6_Ne_ur95zv74

    Broo you could have just used a climbing harness, rope and a hanging counterweight, it would be much safer.

    • @dingdingdingdiiiiing
      @dingdingdingdiiiiing 22 минуты назад

      Also a pulley, but yes, my idea exactly. But the idea with the propellers would be to have a sort of drone, that is "following" you, so that you can actually run and jump a distance, but that's even more difficult to make and it would require two more propellers.

    Just here for the engagement so you don’t get whacked on Adsense with the reupload.

  • @kurtlindner
    @kurtlindner 2 часа назад +3

    So, actually you wouldn't get the same thing from bungee cords since they have less tension at the peek of your jump.
    The difference is so minimal it's likely unnoticeable, but we need a reason for this to exist.

    • @bastienx8
      @bastienx8 Час назад +3

      You could use a rope and a pulley with a counterweight, that way the tension remains the same, and it is very easy to adjust

    It has always been a trade-off or compromise for me,
    but trial and error is a great way to learn what works.
    You are getting real value from all your effort! 👍👏

    OMG, cool, I also cut profiles with my knees! I thought I was the only one. Haven't finished the video yet, but I'd probably have gone for 3 props and offset them to minimize the width/diameter of the whole contraption. Or just springs and pulleys without any electrics. :) BTW, "Acorn" nut for UK and North Americans.

    What I would try. space the motors up a little bit more so you can put those handles under your arms and hang from your armpits. move the motors up to give you clearance on your helmet.. then put a aluminum mesh as a stopper from letting your helmet pop up to high. I think it would work so good

    Sadly it isn't as simple as just reducing your weight. Doing so lets you get an idea for how high you can jump but the fall downwards is not accurate. You have to have the system actually reduce your acceleration which means it needs to be able to support a large portion of your weight in order to make you actually fall slower.
    That said, the difference is likely small enough you wouldn't notice.

    you can test out how different gravity feels by standing on some scales and holding your weight up on the side of a bench i weigh 65kg so on the moon i would weigh about 10.8kg so i simply hold myself up until the scales read 10.8kg
