  • @Rikoyasha15
    @Rikoyasha15 9 лет назад +33

    teachers like him are awesome they're fun and makes the students want to listen more to while also getting something out of it, if it's a boring teacher or a teacher they hate they won't listen as much or mind will start to drift off, but having a cool teacher will get more students to listen longer and at the same time help some students out and more importantly he teaches refreshers, you can't expect a lot of us to listen to a little lesson once on how to do it and have all of us magically know how to do it perfectly for the rest of the semester like a lot of teachers do. *cough* math teachers

    • @funkiebutch9690
      @funkiebutch9690 9 лет назад +1

      +Riko Hitsuya Yea, since you are in high school you might say that. But in college, you have to listen whether you like it or not, because if you don't, you are gonna repeat the subject again next semester and guess what the lecturer will do to you? Make you the example of a fallen warrior.

    3:05 is this really a question they ask on a university? i learned that when i was 16

    • @Teamgetout
      @Teamgetout 10 лет назад +18

      It is actually a quite ordinary thing to do.
      The point is not that the question is difficult to answer. But the point is that you look at the way you solve it in a new way. Often when you start out learning concepts in high-school or earlier, your main focus is getting the right answer. College/University-education is about understanding how to get to that answer. A simple example is when you study throwing arches of objects. When you first study it, you get at formula, plug in values, and out comes an answer. College level, you study underlying reasoning and mathematics of how to get to this formula. And you usually end up with a more generalised thing. That is not just plug in and get an answer but you can use to calculate on any problem not just under certain circumstances.
      TL;DR: College takes simple problems and uses better methods to solve them.

    • @therobbie016
      @therobbie016 10 лет назад +1

      Teamgetout the formulation of this question is how they ask them to people of 16 in Netherlands. and the formula he uses is the simplest there is. dang you americans ar far far behind on europe.

    • @Teamgetout
      @Teamgetout 10 лет назад +9

      therobbie016 A. Don't call me american. And don't do that thing where you group all european countries as one. It's simply ignorant to group all europeans as one.
      B. I couldn't answer that question. Mostly because I didn't take chemistry in high school. Except for the most basic of all basic courses. Took advanced math and mechanics instead which were more useful and interesting.

    Not everyone can understand complex subjects like mathematics or physics.Cause not all people are smart.We are not equally created.The is a diversity in humanity and we cannot choose our DNA.We are just merely born by luck.Every human being have their designated talents and purposes on this world.And no matter how much I try,and how much these students tried too,this subject will always be difficult for us.And that's the hard truth.

    • @hellomynameisaustinw
      @hellomynameisaustinw 9 лет назад +5

      That's wrong. Anyone can learn these subjects. Yes, it may be harder for some people, but I used to have the exact same mentality you have until I really applied myself due to motivation. Don't give up, if you really want to do something in this field the only thing stopping you is yourself

    • @hellomynameisaustinw
      @hellomynameisaustinw 9 лет назад +5

      ***** I've seen an incident firsthand where a seemingly "incapable" person applies themselves to learn Mathematics due to some sort of motivation. That person struggled, but overcame his problem because he wanted it so badly and didn't give up. I'm telling you, the human brain is an amazing organ and most of them are very similar; life experiences (and highschool) mold what we know before going into college, and having some groundwork in STEM feilds obviously helps a lot -- that doest mean that someone without that baseline of information can't pick these subjects up, it'll just be much harder because you have to understand and utilize that information in a much smaller period of time. Like I said before, the only person stopping you is yourself. You CAN do it

    • @thegrotesque457
      @thegrotesque457 9 лет назад

      I agree with Patrick. Austin,believe what you have to believe and I'll stick with my belief cause I have reasons on believing it.I've watched documentary about human stupidity on BBC here in youtube and after i saw it i was convinced that smart people are smart and stupid are stupid , a certain professor in the documentary was interviewed about his research on human stupidity and he claimed that people who have feeble mind are hopeless.Their fates are sealed,that's the level of IQ they have and i have mine too.We have limits.Even the geniuses in the world are aware their mind is limited.There is no cure for dumbness and as well as mental illness.Yes, we can learn things but have you consider the idea of someone who's a fast learner and the slow one or the retarded one.I can understand what youre trying to say is just to encourage a heart and i appreciate that.But I have a firm belief about my ideas about the human mind.And i believe what my mind perceives.Yes.I can understand the preciousness of this certain subject but this is just not for me.I dont have to argue about this so much.

      +Insane Skeptic I disagree, but I respect your opinion.

    • @hellomynameisaustinw
      @hellomynameisaustinw 9 лет назад +3

      +Patrick Parcivel my perception of intelligence is different than that, actually. I know there is stupidity in the world and I've encountered it many times. I believe that everyone has the same intellectual potential, but each individual's intellect is different depending on environmental factors and one's motivation for learning.

    As long as he doesn't bring politics into the class. I despise teachers that influence others with their own political views. I have seen it far too many times when a teacher fails to teach and lectures on the current political agenda or propaganda he/she believes.
