Love this. Been working on being more instinctual with putts. Like kicking a football into a goal, don’t over think it. I’ll add this to my pre round warm up. 👍🏼
Interesting tip. As we don't have a putting green at our club ATM I am using Rory's method. Line it up, a quick look and hit it. Just trusting my head to know how far it is. So far so good. Should have our green back in a month or so.
Ok, there is a fun and practical drill. I use a drill that needs 5 balls and commandeering space on a practice green. This one is less intrusive on the routines of others sharing the space with you. Thanks for this, Iona.
Thanks Iona...you are a bit humble about your putting...I think you are way above the norm in putting....for any group, including pro. Nelly Korda says hey...:)
I was once a very good putter...then one day it was gone! So I fixed it.. now I have total confidence in my putting! I could help you with your putting if you're willing to take a chance! I'm an old guy with lots of talent and perhaps OCD! Who's really good at fixing things! I absolutely guarantee that I can help you find your putting stroke! Then you could share it with your fans! Or not!?🤔⛳
A freind of mine who puts a lot from off the green told me he works out the pace by imagining what strength he would need if rolling the ball by hand to the hole. Never thought of using this on the green.
For me, recently I changed to a thicker grip and a two ball putter as I was struggling with leaving putts short. The best thing I did was making my putter shorter so I can get over my putts more. I haven't had any three putts since that. And I suppose that also counts as feel. I feel more connected to my putter now when I'm over a ball especially within 5ft I don't have the same worries as before 😊
I’m always looking for ways in which I can get better. This isn’t something I have heard of before, so I’ll give it a go and see what results come. Thanks 🙏 😍
Forgive me but I noticed in other videos how far your eyes are inside the ball when you put. Perhaps try to get your eyes more over the ball? Just a thought. It helped me a lot but we are all different. Love the vids Iona.
Thank you for offering vlogs showing remote courses. I wonder whether Walter Hagen played on this course on one of his world tours. Will you visit Karen Country Club in Nairobi? where Tony Jacklin and Robert de Vicenzo played for "Shell's Wonderful World of Golf." Fine vlogs. Thanks.
putting is the worst part of my game! it’s kind of crazy but before i started really taking golf seriously and wanting to get better for some reason i wasn’t awful at putting but now it’s the worst part of the game for me!… but im still trying haha😂
Iona, this looks like a great putting drill to develop feel and distance control, but as a claw grip putter I'm not sure it would work for me, particularly the right hand. Do you think it is still useful for claw grippers, and if not can you suggest an alternate drill on an upcoming video. Love your videos, keep up the great work.
I got a message, purportedly from Iona asking me to contact her. I didn't and wonder if she's been hacked? It's a serious matter that needs to be addressed.
Love the insight from my Scottish Friend . . . a Saturday drop . . . What a treat?!!! Will give it a go tomorrow when we play. Tnx!!!
some great tips Iona, put them into practice, already seeing improvement, thanks!
Simple but tidy
What a lovely young lady!

Great tip I'll give it a go as my putting is awful
Great drill. Simple yet effective!
Thank you Iona

Putting is always the element where less time is spent on the practice green. This makes it more interesting. Thanks Iona.
Another great tip!! Been using this for a long time!!! really works well!! Thanks Iona!!
Putting is definitely my weak point. Love your tips, they are so simple. With some videos there’s too much going on. Thank you.
Could of done with this video yesterday before I played today 😂😂😂keep up the great work
Will give this drill a try as feel and pace are the most important factors with longer putts. 👍👌
I’m off to the range now to practice this. Thanks
Thanks Iona...you are a bit humble about your putting...I think you are way above the norm in putting....for any group, including pro. Nelly Korda says hey...:)
I’ve tried a number of your tips and they have helped. So, 8:10 tomorrow morning I’ll try your putting tip
Thanks Iona! That drill should help me! I appreciate your tips! Kelly

I'm left-hand but just realised I putt much better right-hand, smoother stroke.
It's my brain with the driver that's my nemesis 🤪
spent over an hour today at St Andrews just putting , trying to get some feel back and check the technique after weeks in the cold, wind and rain
Hi Iona. Any chance you can do a downswing video to go along with the backswing one recently? Keep up the great work.
I usually don't release wrists like that in a putt. Instead more like Donald's drill of hitting the tees and the ball
Great drill! I’ve always thought about just rolling a ball to see what the speed looks like. Appreciate you sharing such a good drill!
Really helpful tip - I learn so much from your videos. Thanks Iona.
Great video really love your tips they always really help me
Awesome tip, I will definitely be doing this, thanks!
I love this drill, I practice 1 handed putting often, Iona ur just such a desire to follow, everything is explained simply 😉

My putting leaves a lot to be desired so I’m definitely gonna give this a go. Thanks for always producing great videos Iona!
Thank you for the tips Iona, looking forward to trying them out
Very insightful, as always. Thanks a bunch.
Great idea I will try it thank you😊
Great tip, will try it out tomorrow
Love you Iona

Brilliant...
Nice tip ⛳️

Interesting drill. Might give this a try. I can imagine it really helps to develop feel.
And you in those shorts! Ooooweeee!
Thanks for that, makes perfect sense. I’ll definitely add this into my practice, first time I’ve heard of the routine. 👍

Loved the tip even though it’s my strongest part of my game

I tried claw for a while but was terrible with putts over say 10-15 feet with, great tip tho will try it before next round
How are none of the comments about the giant shrubs on a practice green? I'm surprised the greenskeepers don't riot.
Great drill 👍
Great Tip Iona, do you have some for chipping too? I'll need to search your site.
Where are you putting? Never seen a putting green with pruned tree in the middle
I seem better putting with my right hand only. Don’t know why I just don’t do it on a round 🤷♂️
I got a message, purportedly from Iona asking me to contact her. I didn't and wonder if she's been hacked? It's a serious matter that needs to be addressed.
Is that an actual wrist support or just tape?
It’s just a few layers of zinc tape
My putting is great but the hole never seems to be in the right place 😁.
LOL, there is a chipping drill you posted 12 days ago...nevermind!
The ugly zone ❤
Nice tip Iona! Do you have a place in Kenya or just holidaying?
