  • Episode 7 of an ongoing series in which I'll show you how to go from never picking up a golf club or hitting a ball, to impressing your friends down the range with your newfound skill set!
Hopefully, you find this course helpful and learn something new each time! This time I'm showing you the importance of turning your chest on your downswing, not your arms! This stops us from slicing the ball and helps us make good contact with the ball and the face of the club. It also helps keep our swing consistent and allows us to gain more control over both direction of the ball, and the tempo of the swing.
So, From the last video, keep practising bringing the club down to your pocket and turning your chest like I've shown you in this video and you will be on your way to creating an incredibly solid base for your golf swing!
As always any questions let me know in the comments below!

I will have more advanced guides coming but a lot of the time, a simple thought can help with multiple different things!

Arms down using gravity is a good mindset - but be very mindful of “ turning “ - far too many amateur golfers are obsessed with the word “ turn “ and do turn - hips and shoulders - but way too early - throwing the club - outwards - ( anything in a rotational form will try to move out ) the hips will open up slightly at impact but the torso and shoulders should be more level ( particularly with the driver in hand ) but I like the use of gravity -
