Steve, I just want you to know that I have struggled for years with a horrendous slice off the tee, and this absolutely fixed it. I tried it on the course halfway through a round and the very first shot was a draw. It did change my aim significantly left as well, but every shot after that off the tee was the same thing for every round afterwards. I still fade late in the round when I get hot and tired and grip the club too much, but this was a marvelous video and completely changed my game.
I say all that to say this. There are a lot of golf channels on youtube, and many are great, but Steve, you legitimately fix problems without any lead in, without any side tracking. You are by far one of the best youtube instructors, and I recommend your channel to every new golfer I meet. This is not the first time you've fixed one of my swing issues, and it probably won't be the last, but it was significant enough that I felt compelled to comment on it to you. Good job, Steve. Keep up the amazing work.

Hello Steve, it's Rich from Northern California. I saw this video last night and I was playing golf this morning with my buddies. I shoot between 90 and 95 I play golf once a month at best. 62 years old. So I tried what I saw on the video this morning at the range, and started laughing at myself as I was hitting the middle of the driving range every time. I figured what the heck I would try it on the golf course this morning. On the first two hits I topped them. Ball wasn't teed up high enough for my swing. After that I hit 8 of 12 fairways. And on the 18th hole hit a 234 yd drive. Which was great for me. Ended up with five bars and one birdie. We will ignore the rest of the holes. But this was a fantastic tip one of the best of the year that I've seen. Like you said on your video you going to keep doing this every time you tear it up with your driver I will also. Looking to get better the more I do it. I was actually drawing the ball today which is a fantastic feeling. I also felt like I was getting through the ball better.Thank you again 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 keep the great videos coming.

Never mind the driver. I’ve been starting more or less the same tip with irons. Starting the backswing from a foot or so behind and slightly inside the line. Works a treat and seems to keep everything compact and on plane

    Holy crap!
That works like a champ! Took it to the course today, and I got this setup to work so well that I am definitely going to keep it in my driver play.
You are absolutely correct, this molds the backswing into an in to out swing and centers the ball on the face at impact. I was literally picking targets and coming so close to my aim point that is was like a flashlight beam.
Incredible. Best tip I have gotten in years. Thanks Steve.

This works!!! I used it yesterday and my fellow golfers were like, wow, where has that been all summer. Took my 17-year-old out for 9 holes after my earlier round, and showed him this setup and swing pattern, he started striping it and gained 30 - 40 yards cause as a lefty, he eliminated his lefty fade/slice. He now refers to it as the "stupid trendy RUclips" trick. LOL he can call it what he wants, it works and is game-changing. Thank you Steve!!!

g'day again from down-under...did you know Mo Norman did that - religiously.. he would do so by dragging his club along the ground in an turn arc from his set position - he said that somebody told him that the majority of golfer's errors happened within the first 12" of the back-swing...so he "deleted" that 12" . IT really does work...

Thank you so much!

I'm going to join everyone else who tried this and got a good result. Tried this on the range yesterday. Steve, when you say you are already "on your journey" on the backswing, I recall Mo Norman being asked why he set up with the clubhead so far behind the ball - his answer was very similar. He considered the first 24" of the backswing was critical and potentially problematical, so if he cut a part of it, he was then already on a good path.
Very few people hit it as straight as he did. - Well done, great Vid !!

Used 100 balls and used every tip you gave and the improvement in my driving was remarkable. 65% of drives were longer. With just 8% short. But the biggest improvement had to be only 11% right and 16% left. The main majority were long and within a fairway seeking trajectory! Can not wait to get on the course next week. Also practiced my 5iron which was improved just by concentrating in turn and impact and reduced club speed. Let's be honest if I'm able to focus on a round of golf with improved driver and 5ir I should see a big difference in round score. So grateful for you posting this and thank you

I was scepticus whether the club would actually get back to the ball like you are doing, but it does! And this creates a beautiful draw with super lengthy roll after it lands. This added at least 30 yards to the drive. And like you, little dispersion!

For those curious, yes this does work with irons and hybrids, just reduce the distance behind the ball and the distance inwards according to the length of the club.
I tried it with a pitching wedge, 6” back and 1” inwards and not only straight but the ball also went 15 or 20 yds further.
My hybrid 4 went almost as far as my driver !

Hi Steve, I must admit that I tend to take all the driver tips on you tube with a pinch of salt. But this worked ! I watched this yesterday afternoon and tried it on my round this morning. I took driver on all the driver holes and apart from one push right the other twelve drives averaged 250 yds, longest was 260 and all were on the fairway or light rough. But it improved my whole game because i wasn't in trouble off the tee, consequently I matched my lowest round ever and my lowest at my home club.. Thinking about it afterwards I felt that i wasn't hitting at the ball, a few times it felt odd but each time it worked it gave me more confidence. 👍

Wow tried it on the course -without any practice the drive went so straight it landed in the 100 yd centre marker stone ! Then on the next hole i tried it with. My five wood and five iron - IT WORKED just as well … Thanks for video

Best advice I have ever run into in golf. Tried it today and by the third hole I was having best drives I've had in a long time. It actually works for irons and hybrids and woods also but only position them back about 5-6 inches. for me the best results I got when i placed the driver back about 14 inches. So easy unreal. Thanks man. Give us some tip for irons, even though as I said it worked pretty good on all other clubs but with shorter distance than 12 inches from the ball. Needless to say, of course I subscribed right away to your channel.

I use something similar - tee the ball with the logo or other mark to the back of the ball at 7 o’clock looking from above then place the club about two head widths back with the face pointing at the mark.

Steve, my truly bad shot is the slice, it ruins me. I tried your technique yesterday and can honestly say I have never hit the driver so well. The height, distance, slight draw and ball flight was stunning. Even I was looking at my drives thinking they were things of beauty. Medal today, bring it on.

Took this to the range yesterday. Every drive was a boom. Could not slice the ball even trying. Did turn over left a little to a draw but that was down to me getting my face correct.

Super tip! Are you relying solely on body turn (swinging out to the right) to release the clubface or adding in an element of forearm roll? I struggle with feeling the forearm roll, finding it easier to just let arms go straight out to the right. Thoughts?

Bro, I’ve been gaming this for 5 months now and you have made golf fun again 🙏🙏. You and Saguto golf.
The only thing is that i start the round with a nice little draw but right around the turn it starts to becomes a hook. So this weekend on the back 9 i skipped the 3 inch part and changed my grip to be a bit more palm-y (usual grip is finger-y). All else kept the same this seems to keep the swing stable.

This 12 inch 3 inch tip is awesome. Questions. Do you only use your arms or do you turn your torso to achieve the 12 inches back? Is the open stance necessary for this tip to work? Thanks.

Steve, since I've been following your channel for a couple of months, my game has improved immensely. I've been able to incorporate your Eureka golf swing just by viewing several of your videos. And you are very talented at explaining things and have an enjoyable personality.
However I get confused by lookin g at some of your older posts vs some of the newest ones. For example you have several driver videos that don't seem as relevant when incorporating this new setup.
Perhaps you could post a "review" comparing past to present instructions to sort me out😁. Thanks for all of your help.

Nearlly all drives out the sweet spot apart from a couple where i got s bit cocky and tried to smash the the ball too hard and lost my rythem. Great tip Steve and ill continue to use it. Can you use this set up with your irons and woods.
