This has got to be the best tip I've ever seen online. It has transformed my scoring, instead of the gentle hook that featured 3 or 4 times a round I now find the fairway off most drives. Straight and accurate, I don't care about the "hit it further" bit, it's the playing the second shot from the fairway every time that counts. Well done Ali, love this tip.
Agreed! Being able to cut out most of those frustrating shots from the rough or having to take a drop because you can’t find your ball is invaluable. I would rather sacrifice a few yards for accuracy, especially now that I have gotten back into golf after a 15 year hiatus.
I thought about this today. I remembered Fred Couples once said his teacher got him to set the club almost a foot behind the ball at address to keep him from taking it so outside at the beginning. Helped me so much today! Really straightened my flight out and kept me from slicing too much. Gets the path coming more from the inside. Great tip Ali
So many people have useless body movements trying to "help" a shot, or the dreaded lower hand death grip that prevents the clubhead from coming through on bottom for best speed. If we trust our setup, a golf ball is just something in the way of a good swing. Really. With that in mind, this is a good video tip. I can tell you that for me [decades ago] I learned to hit my driver by accident: pulled it out of the bag thinking it was my 3W... and swung it as such, not trying to crutch anything - just a relaxed shot, and the result was "wow". Until that day, I had really struggled.
This is one of the truly genius videos I've seen addressing the driver swing. I watched it, then practiced on the range for about 30 minutes and then played a round of golf with my 29 year old son. I'm 65 and kept up with him in driving distance all day; I'm normally 30 to 40 yards behind him. Not only that, I hit the ball straighter and didn't miss a fairway!
I am a 77-year-old golfer that has only been playing for about 8 years. I started to use the method about a week ago and it has increased by drivers' distance by about 10+ yards and getting better. It also works if you're hitting your 3 or 5 wood odd that "T" also. Thanks.
I started doing this a couple of months ago before seeing this video and my handicap came down from 3 to 1 in that time (and I'm 66 years old). An absolute game changer for me as I have never hit it so solid. I study Moe Norman and it's right there in plain sight in his address position. This may only be a 2 second tip but it could end years of frustration!
Great video! Angry at my constant slice, I went to the range, with a bushel of balls. I picked a target that was about 150 yards away, and hit about 50 balls, using a full, but very easy swing. The ball started to go amazingly straight, as distance was not really my goal. I then played a draw, and a fade, and then a bunch more, straight shots, and it got easier and easier. Then I started to put some power behind my shots, until eventually, I started hitting the fence. It was a beautiful day, and it knocked a lot of strokes off of my scorecard. The real ball is a lot scarier than a range ball, so I go to the range once in a while and repeat that process. It really builds confidence, and good shots lead to more good shots, always!
@@anthonycoleman1909 I live in Canada. A driving range that I go to, literally has "bushel baskets" full of range balls that you can rent for about twenty bucks. It measures out to around 5 or 6 large baskets, and you can stay as long as it takes
WOW! best tip EVER! I am 72 yo struggling with driver for some time now and blown out to genuine 30+ handicap. Tried this today and was crushing my drives and STRAIGHT! Setting up clubface behind the ball and keeping your eye on the ball as you swing and release promotes much higher club speed/ height and CONFIDENCE! Playing partners mouths dropped open as I regularly matched our longest hitter (my younger bro in law). Tried similar behind ball set up on irons/ hybrids and couldn't believe how much purer you hit the ball! Most enjoyable game in a long, long time. Can't believe how I've never heard/been shown this tip before. Thank you, thank you Ali
OK I just got back from a round of golf and here's my experience. Over the last year I've been concentrating setting up and swinging as he describes with moderate success. Today I did one thing different. At address and reading to swing instead of looking at the ball I focused on looking at the ground 4 inches behind the ball. Results were excellent ball flight and drives were around 25 yards longer. I think for me looking at the ball was subconsciously making me hit the ball slightly on the down swing or hitting with level contact. Glad I watched this video last night.
Haha, I just literally submitted that question on where to look. So, I decided to scroll through the responses. Your answer is what I expected and it makes total sense.
@@bradpetty7841 yea it works just like everything else in golf. Once you think you got it figured out it slowly falls apart. But hey if golf was easy it wouldn't hold my attention for very long.
I used to hit a push fade. Thirty years ago I went to driving range and got a five gallon bucket of balls and started experimenting on how to get rid of the fade. Started out placing ball on tee with another tee 2 inches behind it. Set up to back tee and focused on back tee. Found out my sweet spot is about 5 inches behind the ball. At 70 years old I am still hitting 300 yard drives several times a week, average is 260 to 285. This tee system also works with irons. 5 iron 1 inch behind ball, 7 iron front edge of ball, 8 iron 1 inch in front of ball.
I just want to thank you so much for this video . I have been playing golf for 4 years, probably 4/5 times a week and the driver had been a huge struggle. Went for lessons and I still couldn’t get the driver to play ball . My usual distance was 200 / 220 on a good day . I started using this method about 2 months ago and my driving has what I can only say is incredible. I hit my longest drive yesterday 262 yards and every drive is so straight it actually frightens me . Again thank you so much. 😊
Thank you for this. It works. I saw it on The Average Golfer, who said clearly he got it from you and provided the link to your video. I am 82, have played for over 60 years, have a 16-17 handicap. Of course I have lost distance with age. But I have been working hard on improving my swing mechanics and speed in order to get carry back to 200 yards or more and total distance to 225 or better. I happened to apply your tip halfway through practice with driver at the PGA Superstore in Rockville, Maryland where I can get actual data from their Foresight GC Hawk launch monitors. I have been using two drivers. My usual one is a Callaway Epic GBB Sub Zero 10.5 degree with a Graphite Design Tour AD-IZ 5 R1 (regular plus) 54 gram shaft. The other is a 10.5 degree XXIO X black, 2019 version with orange trim, not the newer one with green trim, recently bought in mint condition for a bargain price. It has a Miyazaki AX-1 47 gram stiff shaft (International Flex Code 4333, which is really stiff minus). Before results (with ProV1x ball): With Callaway driver, ball speed 117.3, carry 190, total 212. Best single shot ball speed 120.6, carry 198 total 218. On other days, I have occasionally hit 205 carry, but that has become frustratingly rare. With XXIO driver, ball speed 118.7, carry 191, total 210, best single shot ball speed 118.9, carry 196, total 215. Meh. After results, using your setup tip, with XXIO driver: ball speed 122.1, carry 205, total 228, single best shot ball speed 124.2, carry 209, total 234. I was overjoyed. To be fair, part of the improvement was due to my applying instructions on right arm adduction and external rotation advice from another favorite, Eric Cogorno, from a June 4 video titled "The TRICK To Leading With The Right Arm In The Downswing," as well as other advice that in order to make a correct rotation you absolutely must first get your weight on to the lead leg/foot, if your weight stays on both feet or back, you will just spin the hips, throw the swing off and lose power. I was also reminding myself to brace the trail leg, turn the right hip back, and turn the shoulders more fully back even if it initially feels exaggerated. All things easy to forget. But regardless, it was only after using your address tip that I got a sudden 14 yard improvement in carry. So thank you. And thank Andy.
Getting swing tips from youtube is not often a fruitful endeavor, but this video turned out to be the exception. I was doing exactly what you were saying when driving - I had a tilt at address, had the ball at my front heel, but, although I knew you swing up with the driver, this video made me realize I hadn't actually been doing it. The lightbulb went off when I realized my shots were low and only around 200 yards, just like the one you hit with the club moving downward. Wow. I didn't really understand that I wasn't getting proper loft on the ball, and it was because my club was probably actually moving down at impact. I tried your tip out on the course, and although I had a couple mishits where I hit the ground before the ball, the majority of strikes flew so much better than they had been - higher, further, and somehow straighter. I finally felt l was swinging driver the way it was meant to be swung, utilizing its loft. This was such a helpful tip that saw immediate benefits to my game as a newer golfer. Thank you, Ali!!
Great video Ali! I went in for a driver fitting this week. Discovered TSR1 gave me 15 yards carry over current Ping G. I was extactic until I saw on launch monitor that I was hitting 2.5 degrees down even though I thought I was hitting up. Club fitters solution was to move me to a lower lofted driver to take advantage of my downward strike. Needless to say I didn't get along well with this change. No purchase as my goal was to figure out how to properly hit up with the big stick before entertaining a club change. I saw your video and went to range and was very impressed on how this helped with strike and my ability to hit a draw. Thanks for the great tip! The quest for more distance conntinues!
What a wonderful piece of advice. After many hundreds of hours of wedge practice, my irons/driver ball position started to creep backwards. My son noticed and I"ve started to play further forward - quite a mind shift but with overall pleasing results. I'm struggling a bit with distance these days - now only probably around 220/230m (240/250y) but this is helping. I can't wait to put this piece of excellent advice into action (and outdrive my son!). Big thanks from Sydney - Dave
Hey, just wanted to say "THANKS" for the tip on how to hit better drives and add yardage. I played in a senior tournament event (I'm 65 yo) on Monday (10/9/23) and tried your advice for the first time and ...WOW...it really worked. I usually hit my drives around 220-230. After the first few attempts at finding the right tempo and balance, I was hitting 260-270 yard drives with relative ease. Blasting way past the others in my group and hearing "damn..." from each of them. Haven't done that in a LONG time. :)
What you describe in this video is EXACTLY what I was doing. I had the ball forward in my stance as I tried to hit up on the ball. However, tee balls often went low and to the left. I felt I was hitting the ball hard, but the ball was going nowhere. I tried harder and harder to hit up on the ball. No success. Yes, at address I had the clubhead right behind the ball just as you said. Making this simple adjustment makes a huge difference. My tee ball is now going straight and it is higher. This is crazy in that such a simple and quick adjustment can have such a major impact. Thanks so much.
Been setting up behind the ball ever since I watched Mo Norman drive field goals ball after ball after ball.. Great to see a modern take on a solid approach.
This is the simplest and BEST golf tip I've ever seen. I went to the range and tried it and it worked beautifully! Then I used it on the course and my golf buddy was impressed with the new distance and high draw I was hitting (farther than him!). Note - you gotta tee the ball a little higher than usual (at least I had to). The upward arc of the club demanded a higher contact point for my swing. I found this out on Hole #1 when I was setting up, thinking I was about to wow my buddy with my new flight path & distance... then proceeded to top the ball and roll it barely past the ladies tees.🥴🤦♂
This is the type of thing that makes you look back at your habits and assess what you are doing. A great reminder of the formula for good drives and what you need to do to execute them. Thank you!
This was the tip I was looking for. Finally someone was able to give a quick and simple demonstration on how to hit up on the ball. Practicing and learning it takes some repetition but it works. I am driving the ball much further and straighter as well. It’s still feels different and will take some time to groove into my swing, but I am seeing positive instant results. Thanks
This makes total sense to me. I carry my 7 iron 165 yet my drivers are weak slappy cuts which only carry 230 yds tops. I've never got on with long shafted modern drivers but this feels like the way forward. Billy Horschel has his driver set a good way back of the ball and it works for him. Time for practice! Thanks.
I could relate to this so tested it out at the driving range last week and then on the course at the weekend and WOW!!! Driving went from being a problematic part of my recent game to a strength again - really great to have something so easy to implement and with such positive results- thanks & now a subscriber :)
I was doing this from time to time, just felt like a better start position. And every now and then I'd carry 270 -280 and then back to 255to265 . I couldn't figure out why Your video was excellent in explaining what happens with the different setups and path variables. Ball speed and all numbers are up . Probably the best distance tip online!
I began doing this many months ago, not specifically to change my angle of attack, but to square my shoulders, which had been open to where I was aiming. It's so easy for little things, like alignment, to creep into our swings!
I incorporated your lesson with a stronger grip and OMG…what a difference! Adding 30-40 yds and much better control. Everything just clicked. A huge thank you Ali
This changed my driver game immediately. I first saw Moe Norman doing this, then George Bryant. But, I didn’t understand why until this video. He explained it perfectly. You have to hit to the right with an in to out swing because you’re going to start hitting draws. I went from 230 to 260 the first time I tried to hit this way.
Hello Ali. what a great explanation you have given me among other things. I started practicing with the tips you gave. I just hit straight again instead of slice. I am now also more confident behind the ball where I just put the driver slightly in the middle instead of immediately behind the ball. I also notice it in my shoulders. Thank you and greetings from the Netherlands.
Excellent tip! I had Sciatic Surgery a few years ago to try and take the pain out of the swing. So, out of reflex, I began to slide forward and started to hit lots of low & inconsistent drives but as I like to say, physical pain is very persuasive. I've known for some time that I must keep behind the ball until after its hit. If we ever get some good weather I intend to hit a small bucked a day, if my back allows, to try and correct my slide forward swing...
This is one of the best tips I have ever tried. I have been struggling for years with casting from the top of the backswing and coming down too steeply, not catching the ball on the way up. Now I am consistently launching the ball so welll I have had to dial down the loft on my driver. Thank you so much Ali.
I’ve been doing this the last couple rounds and it has worked amazingly! I knew I had a slightly descending angle of attack, but never understood how simple the fix could be. Thanks!
Amazing! These techniques have really improved my game and why you are currently only at 100k+ subscribers, I just don't understand. People, hit the subscribe button and give well-deserved thanks to this guy! Thanks again for helping me push closer to breaking 80! Exciting!
This is probably the best tip I ever saw on youtube. I was doing exactly what you said, hitting a very low ball. Now i am getting the ball in the air and I think I gained 5-7 yards.
I watched this video today and tried this on the course tonight. Wish I would’ve had time for the range prior but this technique really works. I and my friends were completely amazed. Hit some really good drives and farther even with the cooler temps. Can hardly wait until the weather is warmer and the ball travels farther. I even used this technique with my long irons.
Nice video. I started doing this a few years ago for the same reason, I wanted the bottom of my swing to be behind the ball and have the clubhead moving UP at impact. I'm 75 years old now and I came up with this idea all on my own. Never heard of this tip from a golf instructor until today. I'm glad you caught up to what I've been doing for at least 10 years now. Better late than never I guess.
This tip helped so much today. I was doing exactly what you described before - keeping ball forward but still hitting a very low ball flight. Made this change and feel and hit much further with a high draw!
I've been searching for a tip like this for 6 months. During my club fitting I saw that my attack angle with the driver was 3-4 degrees down every swing even though I felt like I was hitting upwards. No matter how hard I tried I could not get my path on the positive side. Every now and then I would get to +1 degree. It felt like I was at 20 degrees and swinging straight up in the air. The ball actually did go 20 plus yards farther, but I just couldn't repeat it no matter how hard I tried. This tip looks so simple and makes sense. I'm heading to my simulator now and giving it a try. More to come 😊.
Wow! Thanks so much for this tip.. tried it today and changed everything!! This simple tip changed my often drivers that slice to hitting it down the center of the fairway with added carry!! Thank you AliTaylorGolf!
Really good done. Will practice this as from tomorrow! I have the inside out swing already but still not the length… yet… to avoid outside in path, I move the right foot one inch back and the inside out come more naturally
This is a great tip! My teenage son is just starting to play. His driver speed is between 115-117. When he hits it well, he’s carrying 300…but, most of them are squibblers to the left (his left handed). I had him move the ball up farther and farther to try and hit up on it and even with the ball outside his lead foot by 2 inches, he was still coming down on it…we’ll have to try this and see how it works! Thanks!
I tried this and picked up 40 plus yards with little effort. What a difference it makes. Always play with a guy use to who out drive me. Not anymore. What a feeling!!
I started doing this a few months ago. I also drew a straight line on the ball; when I tee it up I put the line about a 1/4 back of straight up so it makes me think “hit up” on the ball. Helped me a ton. Thanks for the great videos.
This was huge for me. After two weeks at Bandon Dunes learning this, a pause at top of backswing and less bend in my knees I was getting 285-295 carry w 3 wood of deck and accurate enough to hit green diagonal across range Was getting 310sh carry with driver but hard to know exactly how far as there were no good targets to range at that distance.
WHOA!!! Pretty cool! I was just watching the opening holes of the Genesis Invitational and John Rahm, who normally hits a power fade, needed to hit a draw on #13 (his 4th hole - started on 10)…he did this! He had his driver head 5-6 inches behind the ball and blasted a nice draw right around the corner! You do know what you’re talking about!! LOL….
I’m 55 and have done this for years and consistently out drive my other player even w a slight fade . Still putting it out there at 280-285 for my age . Thanks for confirming to me my thoughts all these years
Great tip for us all, but it would be nice to know what loft and shaft flex you are using in this demo. Am I going to get the same additional length with my 12 deg driver?
I've been doing this for the last year and suggesting it to a lot of my friends on the golf course especially when they slice right, such a quick fix. It goes straighter and further. If you're pulling it left a lot something that I've found that works for me to straighten back out... is to start with the club on the side of the ball on the backswing, for some reason when I come through it'll go straight or right instead of left. I always need slight adjustments depending on the given day.
This works!!! I was told to do this bcuz I was hitting down on the ball. I made this adjustment and instantly I was hitting it 30 yards further. No lie!!! I was stuck at 255 and now I’m crushing it 285!!
Very Good info. I watch alot of golf instructional videos and this is the only one I have seen that describes the reason why golfers aren't getting the best results. Thanks.
Tried this last night and it was a little bit of magic. I was doing nearly the same things to get the ball in the air but I had a two way miss and still hit down alot. I dont know why this works and I dont want to think about it :) Just grip it and rip it. It was so fun seeing how high and far my driver went! I hit one 270 which is by far my personal best. Thanks and subsribed!
Watched your video. I am probably one that has a more descending blow with the driver. I am going to try the "6 inch" behind method to exaggerate bottoming out before I hit the ball. Always had an issue with low traj and know it is because I am not bottoming at the right spot - I'll report back.
love it. I address the ball with a 3-4 inch gap behind and try to imagine the ball is 3-4 inches behind where it is teed up, look at that area not the ball and make that spot my strike. More often than not it keeps me nicely behind the ball for my drives
interesting...that's what Moe Norman did with virtually every club of his...based on somebody telling him (in his early days) that the majority of errors in a golf swing are instigated in the 1st 12 inches of the takeaway, so he "deleted" the error range, by starting his swing well behind the ball. Works like a treat also...thanks !
Thank you for the great tip and I finally realized why some of my shots are so low but some of them are high and long. Very good tip and I will keep on practicing.
Thank you for this. Just recently bought a new driver which I am trying to get used to and I do believe this may well solve a large chunk of my strike problems.
I can’t wait to try this out - it pinpoints my two biggest problems with the driver, hitting up on it and fixing my hook (hopefully) Great tip and explanation!
Need to try this. I recently played with a scratch golfer who told me that for someone that can break 80, I was the WORST driver of a golf ball he'd ever seen 🤣 I've been listening to everybody saying 'practice the short game, practice the short game' and I have for the last 5 years, which is why I can break 80, but my low-hanging fruit is now the driver. I'm lucky to hit a weak fade 180 yds, so a bit of room for improvement you might say . . . .
Can you use this tip for irons too? How many inches would your iron be from the ball? Please advise. Your tip works great with the driver. Before i was always descending on my drives as even my tee went backwards after impact. Now my tee stays put or goes forward a bit with improved drives. Please let me know on irons though! Thanks.
Fantastic! Very good instructions for driving and finding the lowest point in the swing. Perfect for me and must test it as I am struggling with this with my driver. Thanks!
I am practicing this technique & it really does work for me . I’m also taking note about your tip to swing more from the inside .that’s not quite nailed yet but working on it . 👍
First time join the channel and it's the most easiest way to figure out the concept you should bring into your mind when shaping the swing. subscribed and thanks for the sharing
What's funny is, I've had instructor's try to get me to place the driver head behind the ball or at least closer than the middle of my stance. I've done that since the first time I picked up a driver and had no idea what I was doing. Now I'm 40 years older and have lost some distance but I can still squeeze out 300 yards on the par 5's and long par 4's, (not that I'd want to swing like that all day)! Normally I try to feel like I'm swing at 70° to 75° throughout the bag and dial it up to 85° with driver, on the long par 4's and par 5's.
This is exactly what I needed to see. Thanks very much. It has made a huge difference to my game. Can you suggest why I would be topping my fairway woods and hybrids?
Another great tip and can't wait to try it out. One thing I couldn't hear on the video was at address do you look at the back of the ball or the clubhead? Thanks in advance Ali.
Great tip...gitting the right tee high is very important also..I tend to top the ball if not in the right set up...or pop it up like a fool ball....Practice and timing is also very important...Thanks for showing this tip....
I have been doing this with my driver, and it has been wonderful. Recently started doing it with my irons - but not as much space - and I'm getting crispy contact.
I have an old instruction book with photos of various players. There is one of Johnny Miller addressing the ball with his driver. Ball is forward in stance but the driver head at address is approximately in the middle of his stance, looks like 6" to 8" behind the ball.
Tried this today and it really did work. High launch and really bombed it out there even in the wind. Only thing Ali is the club still square or slightly inside the line?
This has got to be the best tip I've ever seen online. It has transformed my scoring, instead of the gentle hook that featured 3 or 4 times a round I now find the fairway off most drives. Straight and accurate, I don't care about the "hit it further" bit, it's the playing the second shot from the fairway every time that counts. Well done Ali, love this tip.

@@garyduncan4501very interesting is that where your eyes are looking is that what you mean?
You single planing it?
Turned it off after 60seconds
I was doing this from time to time, just felt like a better start position. And every now and then I'd carry 270 -280 and then back to 255to265 . I couldn't figure out why Your video was excellent in explaining what happens with the different setups and path variables. Ball speed and all numbers are up . Probably the best distance tip online!
I began doing this many months ago, not specifically to change my angle of attack, but to square my shoulders, which had been open to where I was aiming. It's so easy for little things, like alignment, to creep into our swings!
I just realized how open my shoulders were to my target. Fixing that has helped a lot.
Glad it helped!
Your tips are always very easy to understand and immediately applicable and your positive attitude and professional demeanor are always uplifting and inspiring. People, hit the subscribe button and give well-deserved thanks to this guy! Thanks again for helping me push closer to breaking 80! Exciting!
Thank you, hopefully the videos are helping lots of golfers and the subscribers will grow as a result. Let me know when you break 80.
Not sure how it could work with long irons..... off the tee?
Me too... It's my exact problem and so for, it really seems to help.
Very succinctly explained. I've watched 50 vids today and this was the best explanation I've seen. I'm going to sub.
Thanks!
How did it go for him? I'm a lefty as well so keen to see how well this translates.
I tried this and picked up 40 plus yards with little effort. What a difference it makes.
Always play with a guy use to who out drive me. Not anymore.
What a feeling!!
Makes total sense! Can't wait to try this 'simple' fix to my drives low trajectory tendency. Thanks for the tips!
Glad it was helpful!
Hitting up off the deck with a 3wood? Are you sure? 295 carry? Have you ever considered a career in fiction?
What launch monitor did you use for this video? I really like the ball strike spot on the club face.
LOL….
❤thanks
I’m 55 and have done this for years and consistently out drive my other player even w a slight fade . Still putting it out there at 280-285 for my age . Thanks for confirming to me my thoughts all these years
Fades go just as far as draws with modern golf clubs. My 7 iron goes 195 with a fade, 195 straight, 195 with a draw.
Playing tomorrow, will give it a try. I was struggling getting off the tee box this year. Thanks for the videos !
I’ve been setting my club head with the driver 2” behind plus set at where the toe of the driver is! It always works for me when I’m consistent.
Thank you for the great tip and I finally realized why some of my shots are so low but some of them are high and long. Very good tip and I will keep on practicing.
Thank you for this. Just recently bought a new driver which I am trying to get used to and I do believe this may well solve a large chunk of my strike problems.
I can’t wait to try this out - it pinpoints my two biggest problems with the driver, hitting up on it and fixing my hook (hopefully)
Great tip and explanation!
Thanks.
Great lesson! I'm currently struggling with hitting the driver. I cannot wait to get out and implement some of these techniques!
Fantastic! Very good instructions for driving and finding the lowest point in the swing. Perfect for me and must test it as I am struggling with this with my driver. Thanks!
Hi. Your suggestion of increasing the distance between ball and driver helped immediately, so thanks for the tip
Happy to help
I am practicing this technique & it really does work for me . I’m also taking note about your tip to swing more from the inside .that’s not quite nailed yet but working on it . 👍
Fabulous tip Ali! Nice little, easy to incorporate set up change. I'll try it this week in my range session.
First time join the channel and it's the most easiest way to figure out the concept you should bring into your mind when shaping the swing. subscribed and thanks for the sharing
A great technique. Before I was hitting about 200yds. Tried yesterday and hitting around 230yds. Definitely going to stick with this one!
Excellent video! Thank you for sharing this wonderful technique. It works!
You're welcome!
I love the “why” when you’re explaining things…excellent
This is exactly what I needed to see. Thanks very much. It has made a huge difference to my game. Can you suggest why I would be topping my fairway woods and hybrids?
Exactly what I’m struggling with. Great explanation and very easy to understand. Your videos are the best 👍👍👍
I really like this tip, I’ve been struggling a bit with angle of attack so hopefully this drill helps. Can’t wait to try it!
Great drill ..never thought about the left shoulder staying Alway being higher ..I watch it over and over can .. it does work
Great video! That was a joy to see! This has really helped me remember a good driver swing! Thanks 🙏
Great tip. Higher ball flight, more distance, better consistency and a bit of a draw. Feels so solid through the ball.
Another great tip and can't wait to try it out. One thing I couldn't hear on the video was at address do you look at the back of the ball or the clubhead? Thanks in advance Ali.
Really useful tip - thanks! Will try this at the range next time.
Cracking quick tip Ali, worked with this my my club range, gained some distance but hit much straighter, better shaped drives,, quality..
Great tip...gitting the right tee high is very important also..I tend to top the ball if not in the right set up...or pop it up like a fool ball....Practice and timing is also very important...Thanks for showing this tip....
Thanks. Been struggling with distance due to injuries. It felt like I was just working too hard to get a good strike. This trick really helped.
As an "Elderly" golfer, I appreciate this tip!! akes perfect sense!!
I have been doing this with my driver, and it has been wonderful. Recently started doing it with my irons - but not as much space - and I'm getting crispy contact.
That's a great help. Because I know I have been hitting down at impact. Thanks 👍
Tested his tip today at the driving range and it works. It also seems to reduce/eliminate my slices.
Great lesson. What kind of driver and shaft are you using? Thanks😊
I tried this on a very wet course and my drives were going 20-30 yards further than drives in perfect condition. Thanks for the great tip!
I’ve been using this technique for the last 3 rounds now and it’s been a game changer! Added 30+ yards to my drive - thanks for this!
I am curious. This video looks great, can you explain how the hands work in this swing?
He’s not wrong. I especially like and agree with the way he talks about club path resulting into ball flight. Facts.
I have an old instruction book with photos of various players. There is one of Johnny Miller addressing the ball with his driver. Ball is forward in stance but the driver head at address is approximately in the middle of his stance, looks like 6" to 8" behind the ball.
Geat stuff here! It just so happens the "greatest ball striker ever" did this set up with all of his clubs...RIP Moe
Thanks good tips. When I start hitting up and to the right I have a problem releasing the club and sometimes also push to the right. What is your fix?
Dang I was just doing that at the range today. Had some good high ones and some low ones. Makes sense. Thanks.
Tried this today and it really did work. High launch and really bombed it out there even in the wind. Only thing Ali is the club still square or slightly inside the line?
Excellent tip. Can’t believe how simple this is..
Makes a lot of sense! I'll give it a try. Thanks so much.
