It started great - I’d never hit the ball so well... then it went off so switched to Stack & Tilt... then that went off... back to Single Plane having watched your previous SP vids... hitting the ball dead straight again but losing some yards... better than being in the trees though! Looking forward to the Driver video! Great work!
You have the skills to try different swings and be good at it. I liked the logic of Moes swing and tried it many times with little success. Most Golfers struggle as well or Todds Lessons would be, Set up at impact position, stand further away, arms up a bit,Feet further apart, tilt to the right a bit more. "There you go,that will be 10 dollars please".
Thanks for the new information! It solves a problem I was having trying this one-plane swing which was the lie angle of the club being too flat causing the ball to go too far to the right.
Awesome video your farther along than many people are who try the single plane swing. Many quit trying just before they get it. The next key is making sure your clubs are fit to that swing. I have trouble with the Norman-Graves extended left wrist at setup from floppy improvise wrist angle at impact. Causes a two-way miss. The reason is more rotation is possible & there is less of a lock. Resolution?
Steve, I've tried the Moe Norman swing. Very awkward & uncomfortable. Kirk Junge ( Set-up for Impact- you tube) has done a good job of modifying Moe's swing for the rec golfer. However, the best I've come across and use is - Alex Sloane Explains The Golfing Machine by Homer Kelly- you tube. At +- 9 minutes in, Sloane demonstrates the Kelly on-plane set-up, I use it for solid contact every time. BTW, when the arms et al come together, I thought it was just past the ball. I allow my bent trail forearm to release through the ball and join the lead forearm just past the ball.

Smoked my driver, fairways, hybrid and irons effortlessly and straighter. I need a swing that is repeatable and this for me is it, who cares if it looks unconventional. Exactly as you say, less variables leads to consistency.
Steve , with respect to the Eureka golf swing .. it seems that this experimental swing makes the canes superfluous.. Your feet are no where Parallel to the cane and it’s also alters other starting points in the swing ( as per your paid for content ) Is this content still viable or do you see subtle alterations?
I'm very 'handsy' with my golf swing. Came from years of not being able to make a full turn due due bad hips from birth. Both hips have been replaced some time ago now, and I have a full range of motion. The hands and wrists remain far too active throughout. I wonder, this could be the one for me! Will DEFINITELY give this a try
I started watching the Moe Norman swing about 7 years ago. I tried it with only success in the Driver and woods. I felt I would have to go down the Bryson method and have clubs with a different lie angle and length for the irons to work for me. Earlier this year I found in a charity shop the CD's for "The Single Plane Solution" by Todd Graves. £1.00. Since there is so much interest in this swing now, I wonder what they might be worth now - I might even rent them out - eh ! Steve ?

Sensei, is the follow through the same as Eureka? Ours/yours seems more complete … but the view may be different form Italy 😂 - seriously is it coz we are open at the start? then again B has an open stance but with that speed, core and balance he could use a stick
Steve, have you changed the lie angle of your irons? I know that we do all lift our hands at impact but you have also moved away from the ball address.
After a few practice sessions in my garage then a couple of 9 hole rounds I went out and shot under 80 from the blue tees using Geezergolf’s method which happens to be based on Kirk Junge Single Plane swing. But I believe the key to it (of which they do not teach or give instruction) is that you have to slow your back swing for the first 18 inches or just past your right leg for a right handed player. Without the slow back swing start it is hard to maintain the Single Plane swing path.
@@KT-wr2ow 84-87 and a few 92s but I am finding that i need to reinforce the swing, I haven’t made it repeatable and could possibly use help finding something to make it permanent. I tend to go back and forth between a good single plane swing on irons and woods; it is a work in progress.

Steve there is no "The single plane swing" just as there is no "The conventional swing". There are variations of both. Let's see...Leadbetter's A swing, Stack and Tilt, Gravity Golf to name a few. Graves' Moe Norman swing is one of the variations of single plane. It is not "The" only one. . You are not swinging Moe's swing here, You are swinging Kirk Junge's Setup 4 Impact swing. Graves wants you to keep your trail heel down and shift laterally into a bent lead knee. You are turning into a straightening lead knee and allowing your trail heel to come off the ground. I'm sure both variations work for different people, but just remember "single plane" is described by setting up on your impact plane and swinging as closely as possible on that same plane. Dechambeau is very much closer to Setup 4 Impact than he is to Norman's version. Glad to know you have seen the light! Single Plane is awesome!

@@KT-wr2ow 84-87 and a few 92s but I am finding that i need to reinforce the swing, I haven’t made it repeatable and could possibly use help finding something to make it permanent. I tend to go back and forth between a good single plane swing on irons and woods; it is a work in progress.
@atb2003 Heard. I'm also searching for an easier repeatable swing that I can rely on.
I guess the pitfall could be that you'll tense up in the arms? But the rationale make a lot of sense indeed
Steve, besides Bryson, Steve Stricker, Sergio Garcia, Lee Trevino and Nancy Lopez are the best examples of having pro-golf success with Moe's way in their own right. They all might look a we-bit different at set up, but once they move they all show set-up and impact in the same plane. There's a few other good examples that you may also know about on RUclips, but most don't play pro-golf. Here's a couple of examples:

This is awesome. Thanks for taking the time to do this research. Amazing. 🤩

Where is your weight? Same as Eureka? Can you do this again but with a Face on Swing?
Golf = a lifetime of experimentation, am I right?
I’ve been swinging like this all my life…..more swings than a playground
Nice one.
Check out Kirk Junge!! Would like your comments on his methodology
Steve I don’t care for what Todd teaches, I think kirk junge is more in touch with teaching single plane swing check him out on the RUclips.
Graves golf mirrors Moe Norman.
I do not understand how you are using the 3 alignment sticks? It looks like you have a very open face aligned with the first stick....then your face is aligned with the center stick and , who know's how you are using the last stick?
please talk about your alignment more. Thanks! I've been a Graves Golf-Moe Norman fan now for about 5 years.
I know the Moe Norman lovers are going to hate this comment but Mack O'Grady said when they went to watch Moe the strikes wear thin with a weak ball flight. Just saying. Not trying to start trouble.
I’ve got Mo’s book The feeling of Greatness. There’s pictures of Faldo, Nick Price , Vijay Singh and Fred Couples all watching Mo in disbelief at his accuracy and his quality of strike. He even blew Tigers mind.
@@jimangelno1 I have nothing against Moe Norman, Todd Graves or Mac O'Grady. Was just making a statement
How old was he when they saw him?
@@NG-tz8wo it was in the 80s. Not sure how old Moe was. If I remember correctly it was Gary McCord who said that
@@Coupeondaytons yea looks like he was born in 1929 so he would have been in his 50’s. Still shouldn’t be horrible age but his health was never the best by any means
Now your talkin
Why don’t more players use the single plane.
You should check out Kirk Junge instead of Graves---- Graves tries to exactly mirror Moe and thats in itself is the biggest issue. Def check out Kirk Junge
Why is it an issue?
@@NG-tz8wo trying to exact mirror someone else's swing is the issue. Body types affect the swing and positions. People also forget that Moe hit sooooo many balls evey single day. Just emulating his swing will not yield the same results.
@@benhikingoutdoors1632 . bone structures and joints are basically the same for everyone dependent on gender. I am a lot taller than Moe but My swing looks identical to his. Body movements are the same.
Kirk Junge is much more repeatable than todd graves
