Love your content and really enjoy you as a person. You seem very down to earth, self assured, and proud of who you are but not a stuck up snob like a lot of talented athletes. The fact you take your dogs everywhere hit a soft spot in my heart because I’m the same way with my Dobermans. I’ve found, much to my pleasure, I can never lose a golf ball because my Dobermans are obsessed with golf balls and will take me to many as they can on the course.
No, really, I wish you the best in your journey and hope you continue to do well in golf, RUclips, and life.
Iona I really loved this video.its training not practice which I try to set out to do but often fail. Thank you for emphasizing less is more
I just got fit for a TSR3 at a local course. Never been fit for driver and couldn't believe the gains I got from the proper head/shaft combo. On average I was getting 20 yards more carry over my gamer which was mind blowing. I've been just rewatching Titleist fitting and review videos until mine gets built and delivered. Can't wait to get it out on course.
Great content! Always a pleasure to watch!
Getting properly fit is so important. I went from 10 down to 1.5 in a year with properly fit clubs. I also changed some course management strategies but having clubs suited to my swing was the catalyst. I was able to make better shots which led me to think of how to better attack golf courses. I have suggested to many golfers who are hesitant because they don't feel they are good enough for a fitting to get it done.
What helped you the most? The driver, woods or irons?
@@method341 irons. I gained so much confidence in my irons after Bing fit for them. Always been very confident with driver and fairway woods.
@@brianlhenaff383 nice. Did you get a wedge fitting as well?
@@method341 no, I'm a Cleveland wedge guy, 50, 54 & 58
@@brianlhenaff38352 is my favourite. Love those wedges.
Fantastic content, definitely something I would consider now watching a few people getting fitted for clubs. Keep up the amazing videos 👍
I have a fitting scheduled in the next few weeks and it was great to get some insight on the process. Great video, thank you!
Iona, thank you so much for this. I live in the North West but I know Woburn well. I never realised the Titleist Performance Centre was there.
My wife is fairly new to golf but a fast improver albeit we are both beyond pensionable age. I have been seriously ill for three years and I’m fighting to get fit enough to regain my 9 handicap. You have inspired me to book us both in for a full fitting. My wife deserves and will benefit from correct clubs now and my tech. Is now out of date. I’m sure we will forever be grateful for your inspiration to visit Titleist. Thanks again. David
I just had my first outing today with my tsr3 absolute love it. Sound, feel, balance
Loved watching you break the course record at the course in Scotland with Rick Shiels. Loved watching you kick Ricks butt from the same tees, he was a very good sport.
Wow. I'm a 9.9 and going for my first full fitting soon. This really gives me some hope and excitement. Amazing the difference. Thanks Iona. Great stuff!
Always a pleasure to see you Iona 😊 Great content as always 😁 👍
thank you!!
just stumbled onto this channel and i am an instant fan. video quality is great. music definitely a big plus
Quality video as always Iona … 👌
Don't know how I missed this, AMAZING video Iona!!
This video was a lovely advert.
Videos have been class. ♥️
Iona, puppies, and golf. The dream!
Nice work Iona 😊
Heading to Titleist National centre soon, great to see what might be in store. 5mph would be very nice 😊
Very interesting watch, and well presented - quite inspiring me to go for a fitting - that's quite some drop from 4 to +4! You get very comfortable playing the same clubs for years on end, or at least I do, without really knowing if they're the best fit for your game. I've played the same Titleist 690MB blades for about 16 years (currently 3hc) - would be fascinating to know if the clubs are doing me any favours or not!
Contact is everything. I recommend taking as much time and testing as possible to find something that will get the best contact out of the middle of the face. Once you get there, that's 90% of your potential.
Yup, the difference between hitting the sweet spot on my driver and not is about 30-40 yards. Thats like 3-4 clubs.
Iona ur content is brilliant every time, big fan here near Heathrow 👍
Cool vid. I’d like to see a full bag fitting.
Dropped 3 shots this year from 11 to 8, a lot of that was getting a driver fitting and gapping session on my irons and wedges
Thanks Iona for fun and educational video. Looks like you’ve found a set up that will really perform well for you.
Wish you and the fitter and gone back and forth between clubs a bit. You picked up 6 mph but isn’t that just from being warmed up? Your new driver might be hotter, more consistent, better spin/ launch for your swing etc, but the speed came from you being warmed up and possibly feeling confident enough to go after it a little harder.
Great round Iona ! 🙂
I've come back to golf after not playing much for 10 years got tsi 2 driver plus sm9 wedges start of April will probably only buy Titleist from now on just best gear out there love those dogs
Driver is good. Irons definitely not
Good vid! Got down to scratch with second hand clubs off eBay. Think it’s time for a fitting
love how you have scottish names for your dogs we did the same with ours ours is Quine as she is a girl, never heard another dog with the same name
What a facility!
You mentioned working on your short game with Dan at Woburn...if it's Dan Grieve I've just started watching his videos and he's transformed my bunker shots
Lucky you!
What a woman. What a golfer. Love this content and personality. 🥰
Nice Iona. Alas not all Titliest customers are treated like you. I purchased two clubs from a Titliest fitting day In march 2022. A tsi3 driver and a tsi2 three wood. The fairway has been great. My Driver (tsi3)fitting however was a shocker both as an experience and for my game. Firstly I was fitted by Titliest with range balls. The customer service when I highlighted problems within a week was the worst I have ever known. The first suggestion was to purchase a heavier weight, this after spending £780 on two clubs a week earlier. It dragged on for months and I was eventually offered a re fit at St Ives. The refit ( a 300 mile round trip)identified I was in the wrong head - tsr2 so much better eliminating my right miss. I was offered a different shaft for my tsi3 club and the results of the re fit just ignored. In the end I got so frustrated with how I was treated and a constant right miss on the course, I wrapped my £500 driver round a tree.
My Titliest experience is a far cry from yours, it was 6 months of stress and misery. I never felt valued as a customer or listened to.
I’m a Top 100 fitter USA - one super important thing about fitting do not go to a company that has one brand. In this case Titleist. While they have amazing clubs you cannot be 100% the clubs they fit you into can be 100% optimised. I love fitting w/ Titleist but I have to be agnostic so i use 15 brands to dial my clients in.
Very interesting wish I had started playing when I was younger. ❤
6:20 is money. That tip will fix a lot of golfers who have never felt a solid hit. Once incorporate with full follow through it keeps you in sync.
Excellent, really enjoyed that episode…… did you try different shafts or is the GD Tour AD / DI just too hard to beat?
That driver was sounding sweet at the end Iona, if it was a 25 yd gain after the driver fitting I'm sure we'd all take that.
Absolutely Lovely
I had a custom fit with titleist, and what they don't tell you is they don't sell clubs, all they do is give you your fitting spec at the end of your session and you have to source your clubs at an independent supplier so be aware of this.
wow, fantastic...was just waiting for you to cork one 128MPG for 330 CARRY. Guess that one just got edited out
Iona is so likeable, keep it up
Gorgeous
Hi Iona loved the Video👍, didn’t realise your such are good golfer (from 4hcp to +4)in a year😁, Did you get the Titleist TR3 Driver🤔, I would to see you do more RUclips videos, Thanks Dickey 9hcp 75year Senior Golfer
I believe inconsistency is whats keeping me from getting fitted. In my mind, whats the use if not hitting the ball the same from swing to swing
What do they always say never work with children or animals... Great vid Iona!
I might now give this a go. I’ve always been sceptical. I’ve always thought the “oh you hit it left, let me adjust your club to fix that for you” was almost a way of ingraining bad practices into your swing? And I do enjoy working on my swing. So if I improve it, do I need to go for another club fit?
Hi Iona, we need a "what's in the bag (witb)" video. I'm curious what titleist equipment you play and why? You don't seem to take much if a divot, like, I'm interested to know what irons and wedge grinds are best for that.
Looks a great place. Did you hit your driver again after the ts3? They say you should as you are warmed up and the difference might not be as big as you think.
correct, she was swinging it 75% at the start. All marketing
Like the comments about your swing with John rahm ,more swing tips and what you feel the golf swing is for you would be great ,like when I get to the top this is what I do…….like most golfers I would like to know how to hit the ball with irons and driver before going for a fitting ,so I can at least hit 2 or 3 balls in a row the same.
Me thinks you’ve just convinced me to purchase either the TSR2 or 3…..
Gonna gap my fitted Titleist stuff on Trackman this week after 2 years out with injury.
awesome!
I went for a fitting. The pro looked at my swing and said: "Save your money m'lad and take up a hobby" 🤣🤣
Always great to watch Iona. Have you compared drivers from different brands or are you titleist sponsored?
Thank you Paul! Yes I am a titleist golfer however I did used to play Ping and really love and rate their products too. in my opinion they are the best in the Biz!
and by *they I mean Titleist and ping!!
@@ontheroadwithiona I see that you are playing the GD DI 5 but am curious what flex you play (we have similar SS)? Did you find a difference in speed/carry with a 5 as compared to the heavier 6, or did you not even look at the 6? Thanks. Enjoyed the video very much.
Swing looks great but have you ever tried to hold your follow through for longer? It’s almost like you’re recoiling.
❤ For the dog content!
Always
@@ontheroadwithiona the golf content is absolutely brilliant too btw! 👌
Well I had a really bad experience with Titlist fitting here in Denmark. They had like a Small wan comming to our Golfclub. I got fittet for a full set of irrons (100S) driver TSR2 and they did that in like 25 minuttes.. There wasnt a lot of tweeking nor did i try out different stuf... They bassicly fittet me for total stuck set.. Now for me thats just not what I was hoping for and especially not when you play that amont of money for a complete set.
I got the set in December 22 and I still dont think they fit me that well.. But when I tried to reach out to them i bassicly got turned down because im new to golf... Played since aprill 22 and got down to a 20 hcp on thoese few month.. But now im stuck with a complete set that i dont feel are fittet to me.. Lost distance and accuasy.. Basicly said no to playing more seriusly this year (2023) because i cant afford to go to another Brand for a better fitting... Dont give me wrong i like titlist but i just dont like the treatment i have recieved for that amount of money
Sorry i didn't get chance to ask on the premiere stream chat, but is there a discount on the fitting with purchase of clubs when visiting this centre at woburn? Any extra info appreciated, thanks :)
Hey! Yes I do believe thats the case and in some golf centres the fitting is totally free :)
Love your dogs!!! But a black lab, that is emotional for me😢
Did Nick try any other shafts?
Any lass who loves her 3 labs is top quality
So does the lady have to wait for her club ? Or they produce there and then ?
Ghillie and a couple of the kids!
Those driving distances want to make me cry. I won't bother phoning about the membership fees 😭
How. Do you pick up 6mph club head switching driver heads, both Titleist heads, with the same shaft.
actually the shaft in the second driver was an inch shorter than standard and that seems to be where I gained some speed, I was able to work that club quicker and not get 'stuck' but also the balance of the club set up led to faster speed too. :)
Iona, so will you be doing a new WITB?
Hi Mel, yes I will!! I will release this in the next few weeks with a full update :)
Dogs are beautiful by the way
hihi what cute doggos you have*
Hit the like as soon as I saw the dogs.
Lol. Yeah, I gained 5 mph with my TSR3 fitting and lost about 20 yards of distance compared to my Sim. No BS
The kinda girl you wanna take home and meet ur folks
Problem with Golf is it has gotten more and more expensive, i started playing as a kid in the 70's and in the 80's teenage years it was expensive trying to earn money whilst at secondary school with a 6am paper-round and the odd saturday gardening job unless daddy was loaded. How do kids afford it today or is it still the same scenario having rich parents. A young kid can't afford a £500 Titliest fitting. It's the one thing i always hated about Golf, the expensiveness of it along with the snobbery at most clubs.
I imagine you had a slight bowed wrist at impact which could have caused the injury, it is in its weakest position when bowed. Try a really strong left hand grip and learn not too flip, check Mike Malaska for his videos about this
Grip it and rip it Iona 😂
90.9 swing speed and 137.2 ball speed?
Got to 97mhp swing speed in the end and ball speed up also :)
more of the dogs!
@6:44 that’s the Monty cast and throw drill
I would have been more impressed had you been driving an F-PACE.😺🎉
You're too classy for most.😺
More doggo content please
Bet your glad your car got stolen that’s a fine replacement
Must be easy to fit someone with such a consistently repetitive swing.
Great video as always! Would be great to see you get fitted for new irons as well and see that process. As that’s my next purchase so would be good to see.
