Just picked up a 2018 Rally. These videos you're doing are really, really good. No distractions, excellent camera work and editing, great verbal descriptions, easy to listen to voice, etc. Thanks and keep up the great work man!
Thanks, glad to be able to help! My bike is a bit older than that (2013 with 22k miles). I have a few more projects coming up that I’ll be filming soon - swingarm chain slide replacement and back tire change.
New to the CFR250L world and doing own maintenance. Thanks so much for the video it made the job soo much easier. However, I did loose a socket in the oil pan... 😅.
You're welcome! Overall, most of the maintenance on this bike is very easy to do yourself. I've had mine since 2014 and have yet to take it to the dealer for anything. Now it has 19k miles and still going strong!
Hola buenas. Tengo la misma moto (de 2013) y quería ponerle los intermitentes con la luz diurna como la 300L. Sé cómo hacer la instalación eléctrica pero me gustaría saber dónde comprar los intermitentes. Sirven los de la 300L? Muchas gracias
Mine is a 2013 as well. I don’t know if the 300L ones would work. The only turn signal modification I’ve done was the integrated turn signal/brake light to replace the massive brake light/turn signal stock fender. I bought the DRC Edge2 kit and it had everything I needed to get it connected. It did cause a rapid flash on the front turn signals, but I don’t mind.
Very helpful video, just bought mine today and was wandering if I use in mostly off road trail riding... at what interval should I do the oil change? 8000 miles are a lot for this kind of riding... maybe change it every 2000 miles? What do you think? Thanks!
Thanks! I agree, 8,000 miles seems a bit too long for that small quantity of oil. The manual states every 8K miles or 12 months, whichever comes first. With the amount that I ride, I typically change the oil every two years, which ends up being around 2K miles.
First time owning a bike and I’ve done oil changes on cars but I was worried it would be difficult, doesn’t seem too bad in my opinion we’ll see how it goes 😂
Nice content mine is 2014, whenever i fill up the oil i never get it correct sometimes i overfill. With filter change is it correct 1.5lit and what measuring cup you used, thanks
I just eyeball it with marks on the GN4 oil jug. On the gallon jug that I buy, there’s marks at each quart and liter. For this recording, I filled what was left of one jug to exactly 1.5L from a new one, so it worked out perfectly to pour the whole thing in!
Sorry, just one question. Yesterday I changed the oil to my crf 250l and I didn't use that bolt, I used the other one, the torx bolt, and the oil comes out easily. I was thinking I did it well, but now I'm am not sure... what could happen to my bike? Or is not a problem? Thanks
I can’t find any definitive answer on what the T50 bolt is there for or torque specs for it. That being said, it’s not going to be an issue as l as you get it tightened back down, but use the 12mm bolt with the crush washer next time 😉

Class.. perfect video much appreciated 👍
You’re welcome!
Thanks just bought one that's easier than I thought
That’s great, I love mine. I bought it with just 2K miles on it and have over 18K now. It’s been a great bike. Very easy to maintain, too.
You have no idea how helpful this is. One question, when filling up with the oil, did you use up the full container?
You’re welcome! No, I had pre-measured 1.6qts in that container prior to recording the video.
@@FixandMaintain excellent! You are fantastic at creating these videos. Keep going!
Thanks, will do!
don't over fill , 1.6 quarts . check sight glass
Excellent quality!
Thank you!

Thank you for the torque settings.
You’re welcome!
Do I check the oil on the glass to make sure it’s leveled while it’s off or bike is turned on
It needs to be checked with the engine off.
@@FixandMaintain thank you

No, definitely not harder than most cars. No floor jack needed, not a lot of oil, and you don't have to lay on the ground to get to the drain plug.

@@FixandMaintain Thanks for the info what is the torque for the oil filter nut?

What year is your CRF 250l? Great video!
Thanks! Mine is a 2013 model
how many liters of oil should be poured into its engine?
It’s 1.5L when refilling after draining and changing the filter.
Is that 10/ 30 synthetic or semi synthetic please
I believe the GN4 oil is conventional oil. Honda’s HP4S line is their synthetic oil.
what is the best engine oil for cef 250l
I personally always use the Honda Pro GN4. Since they made the engine, Honda should know best what additives need to be in the oil.
@@FixandMaintain thankyou brother
Ile mieści się oleju do silnika?
1.6qt / 1.5L
Dzięki wielkie .Pozdro
