What a lovely story! Judy is a part of my life since I was at least fourteen, and got mesmerized by her rendition of "Over the rainbow", in a pout-pourri CD.
I didn’t even notice her hair, and am astonished anyone could-that duet is so beautiful!! I love the shows where she sings with Vic Damone-just amazing together!! Wow!!
Thanks for posting this marvelous duet for all to hear. It appears this performance was recorded on Friday, November 1, 1963. That's 3 weeks before President Kennedy's assassination.
@megchristie1 they did didnt they.... if you watch the first shows she looks fresh, young natural with her flowing hair but then as the show progressed they meesed it up and did some weird old womans 1930`s hair doooos
Strange as it may seem, I remember back then in 1963, that that was the most popular hairstyle for women. After a few months, women quickly realized how ridiculous and unnatural it looked. This crazy and silly looking hair style became obsolete in only a few months. Judy Garland was only keeping up with the most popular fashion but she hated it. This was the only show she appeared with this hairstyle!
My favorite song of all time, "Summertime." Bravo. Sounds magnificent.
Judy's been my favorite singer since I was 12 years old. I'm 63 now. that's 51 YEARS!!!!! Never heard this medley before. It was GREAT!!!!!!

Two iconic entertainers, the likes of which we'll never again see in our lifetimes. Thank you for this priceless moment....Judy, with Vic!
Outstanding. They captured the feel of it perfectly. Wonderful chemistry for the camera and spot on styling.
I totally agree!
Wow! Judy held nothing back during this wonderful duet!! Thanks for sharing!!
