"I have had a really frikken bad day."
Well, slugger, it ain't about to get any better.
Scott Stephenson: Sheriff of Midland County, Major of troubles, and Captain of the Obvious. Generally, fucked up.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
@Canadian Hooker I'll be really glad when you kids are back in school.
Police don't want to hear sad stories.
🤣🤣🤣
Everybody has bad days. I had one last night grieving my fathers death. I drank, I got drunk but I was at home. I didnt even crack the bottle before I got home. I have loved ones on these streets and i know there are innocent people on the streets. It's called being an adult and knowing what's right and wrong.
Sorry about your father and thanks for not endangering yourself and others, you are correct, people are bummed about getting a dui yet they never think about how much worse this could be. Drunk driving is horrible and very common
Yeah, I have bead days too, but it's not an excuse to drug yourself up and expect everyone else to accept your bs.
BMA
Never got drunk it does't take the grief away but makes it more extensive....
Its dirty thing!!!
True enough and bad days have consequences…hey man there’s other jobs out there u just can’t do this one anymore…u gotta be Elliot ness..unwatered by temptation…I reealize there’s probably more sheriff positions than there are actually people like that willing to do it but still
On or off duty your a sheriff who’s driving drunk under any circumstance shouldn’t be tolerated

The nerve on these officers to ask to be let off....................... No drunk driver ever should be let off.
No, but the politicians get special treatment.
Nah it’s normal human behavior and overwhelming majority of ppl would ask for it in that position
Fuck that if they can be let off here and there people with no records should be able to get a pass for first time offenders.
Lol how does a Karen have the name "Karen patrol"? And I'm talking about the second sentence, not the first. I hate cops. But people make mistakes and I think in certain circumstances, they should just be escorted home and given a warning or a ticket or whatever (although I don't agree with traffic tickets) but that's much better than a DUI charge.
Escorted home? Are you kidding me? Don't you realize people die because of these people? That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Maybe they should just tuck them in bed too? Who are you to think this is acceptable and just drive em home. Oh my god!
I can smell the alcohol from here.
I’d love to toss your sweet salad ma’am

Bravo!!!! Thank you for not letting him go just because of a badge! She's got some balls and probably paying for it.
Yes this female has balls
Only because it was recorded or she would have.
No they only didn’t let him go because they had their body camera’s on.
Body cams prevent that. Bet your ass if it wasn’t being recorded he’d of been on his way. Maybe his buddy there woulda been driving him but nonetheless, definitely not arrested for dui!
Crazy how the ones who are supposed to represent and stand for integrity and what’s right, have to wear recording devices to help in making sure they perform with integrity and righteousness?
It doesn’t matter how hammered they are, they always find their badges.
Right!!!
He says i cant go to jail give him a break. How many times has he done the same to someone else? He should get twice the penalty because he is law enforcement and should be held to a higher standard
Everyone else’s standard would work just fine… that’s the point

I'm 53 now.
Got a DUI at 24 years old.
I remember sitting in the drunk tank. It dawned on me that there were nights I was actually worse and drove. 😬 I contacted an attorney because I didn't know what else to do and she told me she couldn't be at court with me and to just plead not guilty and they would set a new date. I thought that was asinine a d I chose to plead guilty because I WAS GUILTY of driving a car while drunk! The judge respected that and I got a $1,200 fine and had to go to "alcohol awareness" classes. This was California in 1993. During this class they were actually coaching us on how much you can drink and still legally drive based on bodyweight... ok? I am grateful that I didn't hurt or kill anyone 🙏... I drank on and off for a few more years, never driving and not completely to excess. I simply chose to stop one day without A.A. (which is certainly great for some folks) I realized that it just wasn't for me anymore. I was just over the .08 but over the limit is just that.
Thanks for your life story
I did same at same age and plead guilty cause I was. Oddly I find when I tell people that they can't fathom pleading guilty. Personal accountability is a dying virtue

The way they guy thought he was going to get special treatment speaks to the fact that it happens too often.

This is why you don't answer any questions in a situation like this. They'd have a hard time proving a DUI in court if they didn't actually see him driving.
Depends if there was a bunch of or absence of empty bottles/cans in the car. No empties he had to have driven there like that

Actually the matter is quite controversial.... the breathalizers do not, I repeat DO NOT, measure the actual alcohol amount in the bloodstream but calculate an assumption by measuring the metabolic cathalists of alcohol that the liver produces to process it which end up in your breath. Only a blood sample test can actually determine the alcohol level in it.
With that said much of the measurements are influenced by hepatic health in general and possible presence of certain deficiencies.
I do have a CE certified breathalizer.... my wife easily scores 1.4-1.6 after one glass of wine, with the same glass I score 0.2 or even 0.0 at times. A good friend of mine has hepatic cronic deficiency and his liver “works” slower and less (like 40% less than normal) and with his condition I’ve seen him score 0.6-0.7 after 11 (eleven) pints of beer and being drunk and badly slurring...
Not saying this guy was sober but he didn’t even look super-drunk like a 2.2 would suggest (3.0 is potential coma and death...).
Yea, as a recovering alcoholic i can attest to this. I got a dui years ago and passed the field sobriety tests with flying colors and the arresting officer was stunned/shocked when I blew a .190. Stories like this renew my faith in law enforcement, on the street, but not the management. Unfortunately, after we witnessed cops doing their job on the street, without bias, this guy, Midland County Sheriff Scott Stephenson, was able to keep his job. Here's the important part of all this: Stephenson wasn't just shithouse drunk, he attempted to get out of a drunk driving charge by using his position in law enforcement. He should have been fired the next day. If he had been a school teacher, for instance, he would have been fired. There are many other jobs where he would have been instantly fired. But no, he's a cop, so he gets a slap on the wrist.
"Shithouse drunk", Mark, you win comment of the year award for 2022. Where can i mail you the trophy 🏆 🤣🤣🤣
It's a fraternal order of "brothers" what do you expect? Accountability or transparency? Keep dreaming on that number as long as theirs no checks or balances on these masonic turds.
Nice opinion Mark. Tell me. What qualifies you to play judge, jury and executioner?
We've got a better sheriff now, Myron Greene

Good news!
It’s so good to see that they didn’t just drive him home and forget about it.
If this wasn’t recorded who knows what would of happened.
@@Helllow1012 True enough!
@@Trouble-Clef glad we agree, we should solidify this agreement the adult way and do the sex
@@Helllow1012 I like your sense of humour lol
The old police chief where I used to live was a drunk and drove a school bus too. They drove him home many times and never arrested him for dui.
Arrest him. Period. What a good example for the community, law enforcement drunk, at the wheel and asleep at the wheel. He knows that he's caught and the female officer did the right thing. I'm only half way through the video, and truly hope that he gets arrested. Get help buddy.
Fuck get help. Help won't cure him of thinking he is above the law.
By the way, they did arrest this poop-sack. Then they gave him a slap on the wrist. Normal citizen would have gotten the full treatment.
No jackass he was asleep at the wheel.
Bet he had a gun an drunk that's another charge
The officer explained why they had the driver “ lighted up”. Looked to me like he was already lit up.
"how many drinks have u had?"
"today?" lol
He kept putting his hands in his pockets, plus you didn't show his face. Two things that they don't allow others the same things.
Yeah - they would shoot a normal citizen for that.
On top of the special way they cuffed him. Anybody else would’ve had one set of cuffs with their hands behind their back.
you're an idiot.
@@kylekranz38 No, he's not, he's 100% correct. Is the old fart your dad?
I guess I'll use logic since you wont... this isn't the full clip since it's edited. Did you see if she conducted a pat search? It's winter, most cops pat search and allow you to place your hands in your pocket to stay warm once there is certainty that there are no weapons. As far as the cuffing is concerned, it's circumstantial and she used her discretion (if I had to guess because of who he is) and there is nothing wrong with that. You guys will complain either way, she did her job, kudos.
“How did you get here?”
“Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I know, bad deal-e-o.”
I don’t feel sorry AT ALL for this guy. Not one bit. Pay your dues, just like a regular person would have to.
he was so drunk, you made him believe he was driving
😆😅🤣
Glad he was caught. He should be ashamed of himself. Thank u for arresting him. The law applies to ALL.
“Bad delio” 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
"Translate to English" officer thinks now why didn't I have that option?
Does he have a gun in his car??? No mention of that...
Yeah......for real folk that would be jail and an ass beating by the police.
So did they actually end up pressing charges or drop them like they usually do. I know Sheriff's are people too but when they break the law they should be charged twice as hard they're supposed to be setting an example.
This level of bad decision making by a man of this status requires he be fired and made an example of.
He’s not capable of making prudent decisions
Should have shown his face like they do to everyone else.

@@MaxUgly good catch!
This is footage of a training exercise. This "drunk sheriff" is a sober cop acting drunk in order to see how the deputy responds. They do it all the time.
It’s in the thumbnail 😂
I loved that awkward pause after he blew a .223! Too bad we didn't get to see their faces 😂😂
Christ! Why she being so forgiving to him on the field test? A private citizen would have been hooked up in a flash. Hook 'im & book 'im!
TALK TO ME = MY 28 YR. OLD FIANCE, G-D REST, WAS KILLED COMING HOME FROM WORKING A DOUBLE SHIFT AT A NUCLEAR PLANT, ON CHRISTMAS EVE, BY A WOMAN WHO DIDN'T HAVE A SCRATCH ON HER , YET BLEW A 0.19 BREATHALIZER.
