I have to say Mr Secours seems to me to have the most articulate, logical and efficient teaching on YT... you definitely get your money's worth, every lesson is planned down to the minute.

It's great to see an intelligent instructor teaching the same type of things I train in and believe in.
I should also add that this video has shown a lot more thought and information than I know or think about.

Recently i saw the new batman movie wish that were the stunt coordinator, the way you move/fight would be perfect for the character.
Same way that John Wick movies is much of JUDO BASED, your advanced sistema, the fluidity of your movements would me perfect for the new installment of The batman just like it was for the splinter cell guy.
    Solid work as always

Systema practitioner here: What you said about the exaggeration of the movement in Russian martial arts - I get where you are coming from. However I suspect that you have only seen Russian martial arts as it is being taught in the West, which mostly (not exclusively but mostly) is more like a sport. Systema as taught by Kadochnikov focuses on effectiveness and optimal resolution. The wiggling you demonstrated may be used in early exercise but clearly it's not something that would be done in a fight. As a matter of fact the way I was taught is to avoid ANY superfluous motion.
All that said - very much enjoyed the video and I like your very style of instruction. You very effectively combine the analytical with hands on drills. Good stuff - if I find myself in Montreal I'll be sure to pop by ;-)

Just discovered Systema; reminds me of when I happened upon Pavel in the early 2000's.......totally changed my strength-training approach, for the better. BTW the intro music song is 'Maladjusted' by Morrisey.

In the front blade position I usually prefer to keep the left side of my body back, just to put more possible distance between my heart and the opponent (and eventually a knife)

how to defend from Mob and multiple people attack as in india that is what is prominent nothing matters no matter how strong or trained u are if an innumerable number mob starts attacking

    • @Combatprofessor
      @Combatprofessor  4 года назад

Mob attacks are very different from sucker punches. There is no chance if fr-escalation. Early detection needs to prioritizing getting out before things erupt. If you get stuck fighting groups, tactics need to be simple: create massive damage, steers d co took the head, stack your attackers, push to make openings and keep moving until you are clear. I was stuck in a riot in India some years ago. Not a good time.

@@Combatprofessor hey man thnx for ur reply, like what to do if from opposite ends people are pulling ur hands ,hair, poking ur eyes, scratching and stomping and punching from 360 degrees, these are not disciplined moves, even the attacker doesn't know what he is doing and even if u attack other people get more violent and in mob mentality even people who aren't related to the issue they join in like most times in India, I get short of breath off balance and many times have been beaten by mobs after I fall, like no part of my body is not injured from those attacks as I get older it hurts more! but I didn't know anything about eye movements breath how to fall then , I think im ok one on one but against mob I feel there is minimum chance unless one is super trained, I am honestly lucky to by alive thanx to by-standers!

    • @smartataksmartatak9177

Kevin Secours I have ben surprized by the efectivness of russyan marcial arts ...
I have done karate and muy thay ever sence i quit a bodybuilding career ...
Ym a fast learner , i have no style i try to go out bare knucle and with day to day cloving , sparing witw( all kinds of people ).
Got to the conclusyon that modern day marcial arts are more of a sport or dance style.
Boxers fight boxers karate fight karate tkwd fight tkd .
But all changes wen you go bare knucle on tight pants ...
So i started to stusy clasical pugilism, bartitsu and wing chun kung fu and eaven a fight system called 52 bloks witch is very efective on "fist destructyon"...
Now this style you practice has all this components combined perfectly !
The angules & bakfists of clasical pugilism and the graplling\selph defence of bartitsu , ym so exited to learn more . Osssss
