  • My Fellow Racers,
    In this video, I explain the next step in the tuning process in Forza Horizon 5 which is adjusting the components that either drive or slow down your wheels on the driving axles.

    We are approaching the end of the Road Racing Part of the Tutorial Series. I apologise for this taking so long, life recently has been all kinds of weird lol but I am back hopefully and will be bringing the next part of the tutorial series out soon.

    Omg thank you so much for pointing out that the brake balance is reversed in the menu i thought the game was just super understeery but i just needed to nonsensically adjust the brake balance to the front because the menu is wrong

      Sup my dude✌🏼. Ok so first thing; you're using a keyboard. It's not impossible to use a keyboard in a racing game but at the same time you not going to get the kind of smoothness that you looking for. Consider picking up a controller. There are some good budget options like redragon and VX gaming but I am not sure what brands you have available in your country (avoid the Power-A and PDP brands), the only good mid-tier one I can recommend is the Turtle Beach Recon Controller (I use this), Thrustmaster and Logitech fall in the mid tier as well and on the high end you get controllers from Razer and Thrustmaster as well. The problem with using a keyboard is that it doesn't register inputs based on how much you press the key down, it's basically an on and off switch. There is either full input or nothing. The only recommendation I can give you from past experience is to figure out how fast a car can go around every type of corner and make sure that you are always taking each type of corner at the right speed. That way your 100% inputs on braking to enter, and then Accel and steering to corner would match what the car is capable of. From my experience, it's painstaking to drive like this but it can be done with practice. The few things that you will have issues with is changes in direction during mid corner because if you decide to move to the outside abit and turn the wheels the other way, it might cause a spin out; for braking in mid corner, it might cause a spin out and if you are going slower than the max speed the car can take around a corner and you accelerate at mid corner, you might cause a spin out. Using keyboard makes it hard to balance inputs between steering/throttle/brake.

      I'm sorry dude but you going to see that in all videos but like I said, I will be more selective about how and where I use music👍🏼

    what are some good starting decel and accel persentages to set before you start fine tunning the dif?
    Could we get a AWD Diff tunning video?
    I have no idea if i have to have high% on the front diff if i have a 30/70 central diff ballance on a AWD car.

      I'm actually working on a video like this. The thing is that each car is different so their isn't really a template to work with. The other thing is that it will have to be felt in the car. I will explain in the video👍🏼

  • @DemonTime563

    Nice okay now i notice why in my cornering my evo VI likes to drift more than i want rather than the 4 wheels sticking to the corner, i looked dat the diff and i seen that my brake pressure is lesser than it would be for the back, so basically its lockin too little in the front which shifts the weight of the car to the back rather than the front so i kept the front and the back similar and it actually feels better because now im not driftin wit my street build

    • @racingreaperofficial
      @racingreaperofficial  Год назад +2

      Glad I could help man👍🏼although if the brake bias is shifted more rearward; it won't shift the weight to the rear when you brake, it just won't shift the weight front enough and make you slide. The more front you go with the bias, the more steadier you can go when braking on entry. Seems like you got it figured out though👌🏼keep it up my dude✌🏼

      @@racingreaperofficialamn just did a test drive and that actually helped more, now it wont powerslide or drift at all it was sticks😂 before it was fine but now this is even better and also that how the car came in stock so i didnt mess with the diff before the video

    • @racingreaperofficial
      @racingreaperofficial  Год назад +1

      If you are putting a customisable differential, then must make use of it. It won't boost performance in the normal sense. The differential and brakes are the parts that you can adjust for how the car is driving so you must use it to tailor the car to how you want to👍🏼 you know the interesting part though, some cars' standard differentials can work better than adjusted racing Differentials. I experienced this with Porsches especially. Must test the diff in stock form before you upgrade. It doesn't cost PI so you can skip the upgrade until you've driven with the stock part and made a decision whether or not you need a customisable diff or not👍🏼

    And turn the music wayyyyy down we can't hear you m8...

      Man, I would love to continue this specific series but my Forza games stopped working about a month ago now🥲
      I've since moved to Assetto Corsa and been learning alot more and I'm thinking of rebooting the entire tutorial series from scratch because whatever I was discussing in the currently uploaded series is... Incomplete. The info is there but there's so much more to think about and I discovered more since I got my rig.
      I am hoping next year, I will begin the new tutorial series that can teach you about everything no matter what game... I mean if Assetto Corsa is the closest SIM experience we can get (next to iRacing being #1 apparently) I can cover many different aspects of racing👍🏼
      I myself have been practicing many hours a day, many days a week since Forza stopped working and I have been learning new techniques to teach you guys as well👍🏼

      Nevertheless, thank you for your feedback. Many have mentioned the music being too loud so I will make sure to rework how I use music in my videos and also will include how changing things (sliders) affects the car's behaviour

    How do I unlock tuning

    • @racingreaperofficial
      @racingreaperofficial  5 месяцев назад

      You've gotta buy race spec components. Tyre pressure will always be unlocked. For gearing; if you buy sport you get the stock gearbox but can adjust final drive, then there's the race gearboxes and drift box. For alignment, suspension & dampers, buy race or off-road or drift suspension (they each have presets but drift suspension features increased turning angle). For ARBs, buy race ARBs. For aero, you've gotta buy aero for both the front and the rear. For differential; there's race diff, off-road diff, rally diff and drift diff... Each one with a sort of preset but I found that there is still usually room for improvement but it's based on your taste.
      That's about it👀🤔

    • @racingreaperofficial
      @racingreaperofficial  5 месяцев назад

      You will see that the components have a little tag on them to help identify which is "adjustable" or "non-adjustable". Look for that👍🏼
