@Manish Narang I understand what you are saying.... however I am only giving my opinions of what I saw and experienced. Nowhere did I say it was 100% safe, clean or anything. I said I saw beauty, I saw nice people, I saw smiling faces. I said that people who have less than us Americans were still smiling. I said I felt safe. I never said India was the best place ever. Nor did I say that there are no problems in India. Not once did I say I wanted the USA to be like India. Your “facts” can not change how I felt, how I saw India and how I respond to my trip there. I enjoyed my trip. I don’t live there and didn’t experience any of the things you discussed, so how can I form an opinion or make comments on something that didn’t happen to me. I hope that you are able to come to the USA one day. Much aloha.
@Manish Narang Hello Manish, yes I am happy to answer questions to the best of my ability. I am a very open minded person who believes the best in most people and I am usually proven correct. The USA has a very negative thought on India and I experienced an amazing time. I hope that when you come to the USA you also experience an amazing time. There are good and bad people everywhere and every country has issues. Yes women have more “freedoms” here in the USA but there are still many rapes, crimes and murders. Some of the actual statistic per populations are astounding. But those reports don’t always show the experiences of real people living real life or visiting a country. Lots of Aloha (Hawaiian word much like Namaste)

I'm traveling through India atm, been for the past 2 months...Thanks for all your advice, I watched a ton of you videos before traveling here...I'm traveling solo and I'm a female and I have been staying in hostels and homestays and both have been fine but the homestays, with a local family have been the best...for me India hasn't really been such a culture shock, which I was actually surprised by but I have been traveling through southeast and central Asia for the past 5 years, so I managed just fine but I did a ton of research before coming as well...But yeah India is intense but def worth it...
I think Karl was venting after a bad day 🙂🙂🙂 The key point I would take from his message is that bad things happen everywhere so don't expect India to be any different... I have found saying YES is when all the adventures happen 😁
I love the Pahaganj stayed there many times when rooms were 100 rps a day. Back in 96 I walked to the Anoop hotel restaurant on the roof and there was no space to sit except by a young Spanish woman. She was chain smoking and looked stressed. It turned out she arrived four days before and was too frightened to leave the hotel. So I said let's go for a walk and I will show her around. We went everywhere for hours and she was really enjoying it as I was explaining all that was happening to us concerning being approached. Then at one point I hid myself from her watching her every move for about 5 minutes and I could tell she was panicking but she remained as cool as can be. Then I stepped up to her and she threw her arms around me and said thank you. I knew she needed this, cruel to be kind, test. So the next day we met and she said she will do the exact walk alone and if I would wait for her. She came back, her face was so relaxed and that first time India glare in her eyes had vanished.
I'm in India rn the very first time and alone, and the most important word everywhere around is always "no", a convinced and clear "no". I also started ignoring ppl because they approach u sooo much. Really, "no" and keep walking.
Good tips. Even tho' I know India but it is always good to listen to an advice from another person. My say is, if I like it, I follow and if I don't like it, I let it be. Good job and stay safe.
Cmon Karl I live in India. I know your trying to show India in a good light with the start of the Vid but we know how it really is and its frustrating here. Why do you think so many Indians leave the country as soon as they are able to.
@IndiaTV and on the other side I have friends who say they never want to come back and their friends and families say the same. 95% of cases people who leave don't come back. I can't wait to leave myself.

Greetings from Boston....I have been to India few times and had a great time for the following reasons: being assertive as you correctly pointed out, staying in 5 star hotels , planning out your trip with a guided tour, drinking water from only SEALED bottle, having a mentality of "survival of the fittest" and doesn't hurt to have a "gym physique" ...usually we stay for about 2 weeks but by the end of the trip it can be very exhausting because of the experience of extreme shocking poverty, traffic chaos, noise, pollution, etc and you are glad to be out of the country..scams and attitude usually start at the customs - men in white uniforms in the airport- never friendly or polite, followed by as you are coming out of the airport the smell of leaded gas and humidity hits you hard...on the other hand, amazingly beautiful places in Kerala, Goa, the Indian cuisine, surprisingly the 5 star hotels in India are lot lot better than here in US or in Europe..breathtaking beauty of Taj Mahal will shock you..people in Bombay, Delhi are stylishly dressed ( some women truly very beautiful & look gorgeous in Saris & Indian dresses ), speak good fluent English and time to time you will see chauffeur driven Rolls Royce, Bentley and high end cars...extreme Indeed..you need at least a week to recover after the trip....after a few months, interestingly and mysteriously you will start missing India !!!. Can't explain.
As much as I would love to visit India but all these things make me so hesitant to do .. at the end you need to enjoy your trip not to be worried about everything surrounding you.
Karl makes it sound like you are going into a horror game. "If they stare at you, dont stare back, run." "They will flock to you, you cannot escape. Do not pay attention to them. They will find you" 😳😨
Excellent advice! While 99.99% citizens are very well behaved but 0.001% bad people out of 1.3 billion people may be more than the number of citizens of your country! Stay in good areas and with families, you will find happiness & generosity of the people from India.!
Safety Statistics depend on the city and also specific region of that city. Now definitely Walking at 10.30 PM in random parts of Mumbai is much safer than Walking at 10.30 PM in random parts of Detroit...In Tokyo perhaps it might be statistically safer to walk in random streets past 10 PM than Mumbai and Detroit...
Siddeo Yeah that’s fine and all, but neither in Detroit nor in Tokyo have I been constantly stared at, the way they do in Mumbai. Whether you go there 10.30 PM or 10.30 AM. A simple gesture of being welcomed and ensuring feeling safe and people smiling of minding their own business would go a much further way than some areas being dangerous at night.

@Judith Cheryl Everyone knows cryptocurrency is not a gamble majorly for the extremely rich.. It's an invest'ment to compete with the rich and the government. Everyone can do it no restrictions.
Can the real Constitution be restored? Probably not. Too many Americans depend on government money under programs the Constitution doesn't authorize, and money talks with an eloquence Shakespeare could only envy. Ignorant people don't understand The Federalist Papers, but they understand government checks with their names on them.
This is how I did it. Instead of tradling pure crypto. I traded cryptos in forex tradlng. So I wasn't afraid of the sell off. Because even when they sell i can make profit, when they buy I can also make profit as long as your strategy is right... That's why I love forex
You have married Indian Girl...you have stayed in India..you have seen the society and culture..you have seen facts....you have even appreciated things therein.... that means you have become Indian....Now still its surprises to see you make such blogs if India safe or not...rather- than...get with India...know them...its country nature...you can not just keep criticizing it all along...as I see your several blogs on critics of india....why not you try to understand it..and make those rather positive...You go to any other country where you do not have freedom of speech and expression..you must appreciate that for India...you are able to make blogs openly..isn't it good? Many country even do not allow to comment on their culture and traditions or living....So my advice is there are lots of topics you can jump on..leave these negativity..and try to enjoy yoru stay...and take those observations as part of life...else...its no sense in watching all time critic blogs....
Sounds like the number one and two things you have to guard yourself from in India is scams and being sexually harassed. Kinda disturbing, especially if you come from a society with more trust. But the land itself is just so interesting that people go anyway. Would definitely recommend guided tours , and if you are a woman travel with a male friend or someone you know can handle themselves in stressful situations at all times it’s worth it if shit hits the fan.
These tips are not only for foreigners but perfectly fits to domestic travelers as well. Generally tourist spots are very much safer as people there are much familiar with tourist travelers with proper security arrangements unlike uncommon tourist places like in this video. India is a never boring country in the world.
@@More_Row sexual harassment is also an issue in other parts of the world too . I have no reason to defend India but to say every one is pervert is wrong . Yes Indian men who act like that take it to a next level but in the West men are being taught the meaning of consent .. Consent by definition means understanding the willingness of participating parties .. This is coming from someone that think India is not safe for women but it's not as bad as media makes it sound . Sexual harassment however is a very big issue in India but when it Comes to rape it is not as bad as South Africa . Horrible rape associated incidents take place in India but South Africa is something else .
@@201student201 First off when i say the west, I'm mostly thinking of Northwestern Europe (excluding Sweden though, *cough* )-- Australia, New Zealand , Canada and the United states. So yes coming from those places as a woman would be a little frightening as the chance of experiencing sexual harassment would be much higher in India, even for men it's can be scary in India as Karl so well explained. Now i'm not much a fan of whataboutism so not sure why you're playing devils advocate with me here.
Karl: Is India safe? Me: I think we know the answer now by watching your 10+ vids on India........... No hard feelings Karl I love your videos they are incredible!
@Tech Brothers No, you are correct. But India is much safer than the scare stories he's giving out. Think of your home town. How safe is it for you to go out? What are the chances of something bad happening? Those same chances are all over the world. It might be slightly higher if you are a foreigner but it's not that bad. Much aloha.
@Manish Narang 98,213 raped reported in the USA in just one year in 2019. Rape is in the USA as well. Just so you are aware.

I'm very happy to have come across your videos. I'm an American older woman of Indian descent. I'm working on getting an OCI card. Then go to see where my family came from in Sangrana Punjab. I will be filming my journey from searching for my great grandfathers information to the final trip. Your videos are a helpful study tool for my eventual trip to India. I'll be the first one in my family to return since 1923. One suggestion which would help even more is maybe important Hindi phrases you should know. Thanks for your videos.

I have been stared at while in India and I hate It, I am a very shy person and I don't like it at all and it creeps me out and makes me feel very uncomfortable luckily my husband was with me and he put them in their place. The day we all stop complaining india will grow up.
Until then we all will be wandering here and there.
Worst part is that it's only complaining, same thing happens in the US (I live in India a good part of each year, so I get to see both sides), it's all talk and no one actually does anything to physically change the situation. Too much reliance on government.

Fantastic insights on dealing with the stares and scams! It’s so helpful to know what to expect. Have you ever met any locals who’ve become lifelong friends during your travels?

‘School smart’, or math/logical intelligence, memory capacity, and linguistic intelligence, are only a few kinds of intelligence. There are at least 12 types of intelligence, IMHO, look it up and you will find at least 8 of them. I’m sure you have one of them. IMHO intra-personal intelligence, or self-awareness, is the most important type, yet the most under-appreciated in today’s society.

I think Karl was venting after a bad day 🙂🙂🙂
The key point I would take from his message is that bad things happen everywhere so don't expect India to be any different...
Love you Karl Rock from north side of India
I'm in India rn the very first time and alone, and the most important word everywhere around is always "no", a convinced and clear "no". I also started ignoring ppl because they approach u sooo much. Really, "no" and keep walking.

Solid advice! In fact it's advice we can use no matter what country you visit
U still didnt went to Chennai?? Hope to c ur videos in Chennai soon.
Great video, Karl. You covered several of the common issues foreign travellers risk running into. Well done, bro!💪
Karl makes it sound like you are going into a horror game. "If they stare at you, dont stare back, run." "They will flock to you, you cannot escape. Do not pay attention to them. They will find you" 😳😨

Random people : where r u from
Karl: nai chaheye ji city
Excellent advice! While 99.99% citizens are very well behaved but 0.001% bad people out of 1.3 billion people may be more than the number of citizens of your country! Stay in good areas and with families, you will find happiness & generosity of the people from India.!
Tip 1: CARRY AS MUCH PEPPER SPRAY AS YOU CAN
What a beautiful part of India you are in 🤘✌😎👍
Safety Statistics depend on the city and also specific region of that city.
@@linkbombchu168 you must be white and majority of the people thinks them as an endangered species here🤣

@@maryamsuleeman3232 But anyone who is not investlng now is missing a tremendous opportunity.

Too many Americans depend on government money under programs the Constitution doesn't authorize, and money talks with an eloquence Shakespeare could only envy. Ignorant people don't understand The Federalist Papers, but they understand government checks with their names on them.
@Diane Virginia Do you know the recent crypto drop I did lost. instead made a lot of profit of about 2500USD.

More trust.. Why is the west having to go on about consent.??
@@201student201 I'm not sure i'm following.
Love you Karl!!!
Karl: Is India safe?
Me: I think we know the answer now by watching your 10+ vids on India...........
No hard feelings Karl I love your videos they are incredible!
India is very safe. Don't listen to his fear mongering.
@Tech Brothers No, you are correct. But India is much safer than the scare stories he's giving out. Think of your home town. How safe is it for you to go out? What are the chances of something bad happening? Those same chances are all over the world. It might be slightly higher if you are a foreigner but it's not that bad. India is a very safe country, especially if you look at crime stats vs population.
