If someone is on Eliquis for a blood clot, I know youq can't take vitamin K-however is that just K1 and not K2? I have a cousin who has a clot secondary to the Covid vaxx, and is on Eliquis. She also has osteoporosis, and I told her she needs calcium and D3, and also K2. Then I found out she's on Eliquis, so I wondered if it's ALL 3 vitamin K's that should be avoided? Typical MD's are clueless about nutrition; they just want to drug ppl.
I'm a 62 year old lady who has been consuming a lot of grass fed animal products for a long time now and I do have very dense bone mass and my dentist is just amazed at my gum health too. He made the remark that not many people my age have such healthy gums. I also supplement with a good K2/D3 supplement thatt uses coconut oil in it and no seed oil, which based on all of my research, is harmful to consume PUFAS. I have been taking a variety of quality magnesium supplements for years now. Great video and thank you.
I'm 78 with 65 to 85% plugged heart arteries. I started taking Doctor's Best 100mcg Vitamin K2 MK7 and within 2 weeks I noticed a lowering of angina when I was active. Later I started taking it 4 times daily and some D3. My angina with activity is slowly decreasing. I'm a believer in K2.
Ginger is supposed to clear your arteries of plaque; also drink carrot juice with apple (homemade); in addition to, K2 and D3, potassium, calcium, magnesium, and zinc it helps me
0:00: 💊 Vitamin K2 is important for cardiovascular health, osteoporosis, immune health, and dental health, and it is different from potassium. 3:52: 💊 Vitamin K2 is essential for bone health and blood clotting, and most people do not get enough of it from their diet. 8:04: 💊 Vitamin K2 MK7 supplements have promising benefits for bone density, heart health, blood glucose levels, testosterone, muscle strength, and cognition. 12:34: 💊 Vitamin K2 and vitamin D3 work together to improve calcium absorption and prevent toxicity, while magnesium is also important for vitamin D absorption. 15:31: 🌞 Taking vitamin D, magnesium, and vitamin K2 can be beneficial for most people, but it's important to take them in recommended amounts and monitor levels.
This is beautiful! This is great! I'm 73 and into the D 3, K 2-MK 7, Magnesium protocol, already seeing results. I had an old fracture in my ankle, soon after I started that ankle began acting up, perhaps calcium deposits were holding things in place. Later the pain stopped, that ankle is now moving freely without pain. Also had a bit of blockage of the blood vessels. I was taking inorganic Calcium for a long time, now my knees and back move freely.Your coverage is the most comprehensive I have seen. I use both Mag Glycinate which has the added benefit of binding to Glyphosate and Mag Theonate. Also eating much more green stuff. Happy to have found you! Thank you Doc! Drs Berg DC and Ken Berry on YT are informative. The Docs at the clinic are clueless. Everyone needs to educate themselves and families. I'll be back!
I’m 77 years old. I take daily 50mcg of Vitamin D3, 500mg of Magnesium, and 100mcg of K2. I’ve notice the Neuropathy in my have disappeared where I no longer take 300 mg of Gabapentin. The shooting nerve pain has ceased. I now walk 2 to 3 miles a day as a part of my exercise.
No one told me after 8 years of warfarin about calcification. My brother died in his 50’s from heart problems from calcification. Thank goodness I did research and switched to eliquis. Now I take D3 and K2 Mk-7 and magnesium and my heart CAC scan (checking calcification) score was zero. Thank you for this very important and informative video! All your videos are always so helpful! 😄👏🏻❤️

I was diagnosed with osteoporosis two years ago and opted not to treat my weak bones with the RX drugs as they have horrible side effects (years later) and they do nothing to affect the health of one's bones, just the density thereby making them more brittle. By ensuring one has enough K2 daily along with D3, calcium and magnesium can get to the bones to make the outer bone more dense. AND, in the video, the doctor mentioned how taking K2 helps to keep calcification away from arteries. What he didn't say and I've read in numerous books and medical journal articles is that Matrix GLA Protein not ONLY keeps calcium out of soft tissues (blood vessels and arteries) thereby minimizing heart attack and stroke, but ALSO works to clear existing plaque buildup in the soft tissues! It repairs damage already done. K2 is so important as it activates the two molecules (Matrix GLA Protein and Osteocalcin) that help direct the calcium to where it needs to be AND clean up the mess that was done when the calcium wasn't absorbed into the bones and ended up as plaque in our soft tissues! Osteocalcin directs the calcium TO the bones and teeth. If you're interested in this whole process, you might want to look up Dr. Weston Price, a dentist in the 1930s who is credited with identifying vitamin K2, which he called Activator X, as he learned in the lab that it activated the two molecules I mentioned above. Seriously fascinating study on tooth decay he starting seeing from all his patients eating a more "Western Diet" vs. farm-raised and farm-grown food. He linked Vitamin K2 deficiency in mothers and Western diet with malformities of the jaw and teeth. Think orthodontia! Look for this book: VITAMIN K2 AND THE CALCIUM PARADOX by Kate Rheaume-Bleue, BSc, ND. The more you read, the more you'll want to suggest everyone you know with any sort of disorder or ailment should ensure they are supplementing vitamin K2. So many of them are covered in this book.
A great deal of research here. Just diagnosed, and being recommended rx with the side effect 😢 being unappealing. I have been taking the Listed vitamins for 2 months now and have been following Keto, occasional cheats, but going back to 100% this month again to determine what to do about my health journey next. My biggest concern with the keto diet is that I need to Gain Weight! Inflammation, etc burns my body through the night and keeping weight on is a struggle. Pre-diabetic, high cholesterol & high blood pressure are other factors that I have to work with as well. 💪 every day!
@JoAnne Johnson Hi JoAnn, you might want to add hi dose Vitamin C, check out Dr. Thomas Levy's books "Curing the Incurable " and "Stop America's #1 Killer" I think you'll be as shocked as I was! My CAC Score has been reversed by 30%. I too have the book "The Calcium Paradox" I take 2400mcg of K2-MK7 it kills 95% of the bacteria in the mouth. As Dr. Levy points out oral health is the source of all heart disease. I honestly think it's true. Toxicity in the mouth can come from root canals and implants which can be totally asymptomatic. Any Periodontal disease uses up vitamin C. I am on 18 grams/day in divided doses. I am on no statins. My CAC Score went from 660 to 458 in 20 months.
excellent comment! It is exactly why i did NOT go for the Sally Fields promoted (and others) in that family for osteopenia etc. By now I've had TAVR... and anyway you're the first I've seen who 'gets it'.
@@Therookieandthemaster thank you for the compliment. It is very disheartening to me how doctors (from GPs to Internists to Endocrinologists and other specialists) continue to push these RX drugs based on flawed studies, namely the WOMEN’S HEALTH INITIATIVE of 2005 that has since been scrutinized by a number of qualified doctors and scientists who have pointed out how the conclusions of the study were so faulty and the math used to suggest women had a 25% increase in risk of breast cancer was plain WRONG. If memory serves, the statistic for post-menopausal women (which was 100% of women in the study (an inherent flaw in and of itself as some were 20 years post menopause with zero hormones for that long then they’re given SYNTHETIC estrogen and progesterone). There was a very small risk noted from HRT (hormone replacement therapy) of 25% increase in risk but the absolute numbers matter. Out of 1000 women 1 more, 5 instead of 4 got breast cancer which is technically a 25% increase in risk which is just barely statistically significant if you count that 1 person in 1000. But here is the main point: This was observed in the group that were given synthetic progesterone and estrogen. In the group that received only estrogen the breast cancer risk went down slightly. This makes it clear that synthetic progesterone raised the risk, not estrogen. Nowadays bioidentical progesterone is used for this reason. And doctors two decades later are scaring women about ALL HRT. There’s so much more about this subject but doctors are not helping people by suggesting drugs broadly vs. giving all information (good AND bad) about the risks years later.
I've been taking similiar , but bit more K2. Always monitor how you feel btw. Be aware of what body is telling you. Don't just blindly do any of this stuff without doing some homework esp if on some meds, mental illness, health probs etc....
I am currently taking 4,000 IU D3, 200mcg K2 as MK7, and 400mg Magnesium. Initially was on Calcium and after listening to some doctors on RUclips I stopped it. Was only on it for a month. Great Video!
I am 68 years of age and I have CHD.I am taking 1000 IU Vitamin D3 and 200mcg of Vit K2 MK-7 daily as my doctor has told me that Vitamin K2 MK-7 removes the calcium from the arteries where is then stored in the bones to prevent osteoporosis.
I think the studies are inconclusive. We would hope that the soft tissues would give up that calcium over time but the mechanism for that process is poorly understood. K2 keeps more calcium from forming in the soft tissues but it hasn't shown to necessarily reverse calcification in already calcified soft tissue. It makes sense to me, however, that eventually that calcium should wash out of the soft tissues if things get back into balance. We also need to think about blood glucose levels in the calcification process. As noted in the video, diabetics have calcification issues like crazy. I had multiple heart valves replaced and I have the beginnings of pre-diabetes. I tend to fast for long periods (16-18 hours a day) to give my system a chance to live without a constant flood of glucose / fructose flooding into the body 24-hours a day. Does high insulin cause this calcification? That would explain a lot of what is being observed. Type 2 diabetics tend to have double the amount of insulin floating around than normal people. All that insulin is a reaction to the massive amounts of sugar (starches) we consume.
@@GizmoFromPizmo Research Carnivore. It’s great for controlling insulin and insulin spikes. Insulin disregulation is the cause of most diseased states and the carnivore woe (way of eating) is the best way to correct the disregulation.
Very helpful. My cardio doc told me that I am at low risk of a heart attack due to calcium readings, but offered nothing but a statin to prevent an attack - which makes me extremely ill. He basically told me I was going to get worse and die, and that nothing could be done. I fired him. I am now looking for a more caring and informed doc.
The statin will definitely cause serious bone loss. My dad was on statins for a bit and it Literally destroyed his hip/knee. We got him off but the damage was already done. He suffers from a pronounced drop in the hip. Has to use a walker! All because he saw a commercial on tv that said “ask your doctor about lipitor.“ He did and doc prescribed statins as a preventative measure!!! Cholesterol is crucial for brain function so blocking it will cause cognitive decline and may lead to Alzheimer’s/dementia or worse. The statins will probably kill you faster than cholesterol!
Yes long term studies show statins DONT work, cause damage AND its the best selling drug in USA cha ching! I was on it for 4 years...had similiar probs but with teeth loss, muscle pain / probs...I got off it on my own despite my doc literally yelling at me to keep taking it, made me sign an affidavit that I wouldn't sue him if I had stroke or Heart attack. I said to him anyone can read the report on this med...I'm done! The only ppl that need to be on statin is extremely high off the chart cholesterol called heredity high cholesterol, very few ppl have that condition. Be your OWN advocate!!!!
Hi, 60 year old male. Former smoker. I do 5000 of the D3 with the K2. 500 mg of magnesium I do have congestive heart failure and my understanding is my arteries going through my neck are high on the calcified side. I’m hoping that my life style changes help in at least abating some of these issues. Thank you for your informative videos.

I started supplementing vitamin K2MK7 with D and Magnesium Biglycanate (good to relax muscles) with a good fat like coconut oil or almonds. One important note is I wait one hour after my protein shake to improve absorption.
I worry about pollution & oxalates with things like almonds. Saw a documentary once that showed a CA almond farm irritated by "filtered" oil fracking water. They Said they smelled oil in water while irritating. Oil companies give farms that water yikes!
Improve mag absorption by using magnesium cream before bed ...asutra makes a mag cream marketed as pain cream called melt pain away, safe to use nightly
If you eat eggs and meat on a daily basis you get all the K2 you need. If you eat only vegetation you need to supplement. Despite what is said in this video a single egg yolk can contain between 67 and 192 micrograms of vitamin K2, depending on how they have been fed. Vitamin K2 can also be found in all meats/animal products, dairy and fermented foods. Natto is the only good vegetarian source of K2, while several cheeses provide healthy amounts, eggs are still your best bet. If you are eating two or more egg yolks a day, some cheese and/or a good amount of meat (especially chicken or organs) then you are getting plenty of K2.
@@vallang4832 I know what he said and he is wrong. The may have LESS K2, but they won't have zero. They low end, for poorly fed chickens is around 60 mcg per egg yolk. Still pretty good when compared to most other sources. I'm always aware that EVERYONE has a bias. Just a fact, not a disparagement.

I inherited celiac from my 38% Scandinavian. I take two stinging nettles about half hour before foods with wheat. It stops the immune system from reacting. Good for cold allergies. Maybe dairy, I don't know. Nettles is an excellent source of nutritients. I like Nature's Way. Good for everyone to add this dailey.
I was told about 20 years ago that I needed to take calcium due to osteoporosis. I started doing so but after 2 to 3 weeks I stopped bc I can tell that I was having trouble with the calcium. Good thing I stopped. Tried it again about 7 years later, and quickly stopped again. Something was wrong. K2 works well for me.
Process eggshells and sprinkle on your food. Wash used egg shells and store in a bag in freezer. When you have enough to Process, lay on baking tray and put in 400 degree oven for 10 minutes. Then crush with coffee grinder or Ninja bullet. Powders down quite well, sprinkle on your food. Slightly gritty, but that's Ok

I was craving collards and pork, two foods i do not usually eat. I was also bruising easily. I read an article earlier in the year about K2 helping with clotting issues. Since I was a small child I would bruise easily and have nosebleeds. Many decades later I had not had much bruising until a few months ago. I put the info together in my and purchased K2/D3 after thanksgiving. I have not been bruising and no longer having food cravings. I really liked how you focused on K2-mk7. During my research I found far less info on this specific type. Thanks, I just subscribed to the channel.
I used to have frequent nosebleeds until I was 5 yrs old. I even was hospitalized to get my stomach pumped because I had swallowed so much of it. Do you know why we had that when we were kids? Anyways, I just started taking K2 + D3 2 days ago.
@@mkryu I don't know why. I'm the youngest of five and nobody else had any health issues but me. Of course they did not see it as an issue just something that happens (back in the day parents were not alarmist). It seemed to happen a lot in the summer (that could be my memory because I never enjoyed summer/heat). Many decades later...last year my nose started bleeding with no cause I could identify. K2/D3 is working great, my muscles seem stronger...I read that K helps synthesize T4 to T3 (active thyroid hormone). It's winter and my thermostat is 5 degrees cooler than I ever kept it. I've taken many supplements over decades, this is by the most helpful.

When I was born in September1956 my body was deficient in Vitamin K. At 16 hours old I began bleeding out from the umbilical cord. Took 24 hours of transfusions to correct the problem. What was at that time that being AB positive there was a lack of 0 positive blood available so one compatible Corpsman was my donor the entire time. Later in the year after many studies Vitamin shots at birth became the standard in reducing infant mortality.

Just wish I had known all this years ago. I was unable to get teeth implants because there was not enough bone mass, and I have since been diagnosed with osteopenia. I now take vitamin D3/K2 in a coconut oil based pill for the past few years. I take 5k IU of D3 and my test shows normal levels... but that's how my body processes it. Everyone absorbs differently.
Thank you for the video, I was prescribed Anastrozole which lowers bone density over 5 -7 years. With that my doctor prescribed 1200 CA daily and 25000 D3 weekly. After seeing a few video I started taking magnesium and K2 tablets. Will check with my doctor if I should lower the daily CA intake.
K2 should be taken with food as it is fat soluble. I saw a video by a cardiologist who said he didn't understand why people didn't take more magnesium. I was on statins for 'high cholesterol' but after watching his video, I stopped immediately and without regret. He said that cholesterol was just a number and statins were not necessary unless there was another condition that definitely required it. I have been on 800 IU Vitamin D3 for about 10 years now as I take levothyroxine. Then, I started taking magnesium then added B complex, Thiamin, cod liver oil, zinc and selenium and most recently K2MK7. I'm 65 and overweight but am feeling much better since stopping the statins and adding these supplements
For those guys out there dealing with Payronies disease, I started supplementing with K2 about a year ago aftee finding out what it does. Its virtually gone now. Not sure if there are studies on this but I would like to see some if there are. Thanks for the great video!
That's amazing if, indeed there is cause and effect! Not an issue with me......perhaps because of long time use of K2?......but my brother has it. Since no woman in his life, not a practical issue, ha ha.
I have peronei's , one day I had a cucumber , the next day it turned into a banana. I've been taking D3 K2 mk-7 for a while now & my T2 has gone into remission, although my Trichlorides are still high (7.6) ( UK ). Ps :My wife thinks it's hilarious, Lol.
I had my gall bladder removed 9 years ago but was given very little advice on diet changes. Through my own research, I now take bile acids. I try to get magnesium from nuts and other foods but also take a supplement as well as D3 and K2, and others. I make my own sauerkraut and kefir. Supplements tend to be quite expensive in the Philippines with most imported but there are many new options for vegetables and fruit. Grass fed beef comes from New Zealand when we can get it.
Ask your Filipina wife to find an honest and local registered naturopath doctor. Also, try to use moxibustion on your body a few times a month this help you out big time!
A few years ago, as a longstanding T1D, I consulted a vascular surgeon with a self diagnosis of Monckeberg’s sclerosis, which he somewhat patronisingly congratulated me on for correctly diagnosing, but then sent me on my way without any advice. Subsequently, about a year ago, I have chosen to take K2 supplements (5mg seems the standard though) on top of D3 and Mg. I haven’t yet had follow-up X-Rays to confirm the efficacy. I am astounded by this lack of knowledge or concern to address an issue which, no doubt, is one if the causative factors for my hypertension, pseudo or otherwise.

My doctor tested my vitamin D levels years back and it was in the single digits. My fatigue was so bad that I barely accomplished anything. I have been taking vitamin D 3. But the dosage is a lot lower than what I see being suggested. Also, no mention of vitamin K was ever mentioned as well as magnesium. I need to have a conversation with my doctor. Definitely talk to your doctor. I had the same problems as you. DO NOT start taking high doses like a lot of people say is safe. I overdosed on 3000iu of D3 a day while taking 400mg magnesium and 100mg K2 mk7. Some people can take very high doses because they don't absorb it. But you can also kill yourself with to much. Great video! It's really expanded my knowledge of vitamin k2mk7, which is the form I've been taking for nearly 3 years with D3. And I've been eating sauerkraut for 4 years or so but some doctors say the bacteria in it get killed in the stomach. I've also read in medical articles that only yellow cheeses have K2mk7. Registered dietitian here. Usually, 20,000 units of vitamin D per week is used in vitamin D deficiency. If you are doing 2,000 units every day of the week, that's more than it's used for diagnosed vitamin D deficiency. Keep doing it and you might start seeing bone deposits in your ankles as well as having bone pain. Also, you might damage your liver. It's good to check every 3 months if you are supplementing at that level. If your vitamin D levels don't improve, you might have an issue with your parathyroid. This actually happened to me. Went to Mayo in Rochester, got one of my parathyroids taken out. All good now.

I was about to scream there is no Vitamin D toxicity but then he clarified how much one must take, which is WAY out of the normal supplement range. I've been taking Life Extension brand Super K supplement for years. Amazon, of course. 1500 mcg K1, 1500mcg K2 as MQ4, and 100mcg K2 as MQ7. It's my recollection that the difference between 4 and 7 is mostly half life. Also, 10,000 IU's of Vitamin D for years. I've not had the D test for a few years, but as best as I recall, my level was around 70 mg/dl. (I think the doctor meant deciliter and one point when he said milliliter.) This is the range that Africans living in a lot of sunlight attain. So, I think of this number as evolutionarily optimum. A couple of years ago I had an accident at work. One of my fingers got severely twisted. I was shocked that it didn't break. I credit my D and K supplementation for that. And, I'm 77 currently.
Male 56 years old, healthy. I had a dexa 4 years ago. Result all good. The doctor mentioned I might try D3 and K2, so I did. Latest DEXA shows oestepenia. There ya go....
What a great video! I was fully expecting it to flow into some commercial to push certain products and was pleasantly surprised to find an honest discussion with no pressure. Thank you! I started taking extra D3 when Covid hit (plus Zinc and Quercetin) and then heard about K2 from a friend. I was also taking a Mg supplement. I am 69, 5' 6" and 220 lbs. I take supplements of 4k-6k of D3 a day from various supplements (2k D3 capsule, 1k from a multi-vit, and 1k from a Glucosimine supplement). I also take K2 Mk7 100 mcg 4 times a week and 400 mg of Triple Mg daily. I found a new doctor and the first work up included checking D3 levels that my previous doctor never did. Other than high cholesterol (that I believe is more of a genetic thing that hasn't affected me (yet!)) I have no real issues. Although, based on your video, I should probably cut back a bit on my alcohol intake. lol! Thank you again for such an informative video!
I take K2, D3 , Zinc, Quercetin and NAC as part of an anti-Covid protocol. Our politically correct moron Prime Minister Justin Trudeau who never had a full-time job in his life until he decided to enter politics by riding on his PM father's coattails, fortunately for him the Canadian electorate never knew that father Pierre was a Marxist but I degress, decided that Canadians should never do anything but take the jab for Covid. I, however, want to get Ivermectin to have on standby in case I get Covid. I'll have to figure out a way to get some and sneak it past Justin which shouldn't be too difficult since he spends most of his time in his opinion, saving the world from the Canadian riff raff.

Thanks for making this video. I was always confused regarding vitamin k2 with vitamin D3 because most of the doctors recommend only vitamin D3. I always love your illustrations and the way you explain everything based on the studies and research. You are always well versed in your field. Right now I am only taking 3000 IU of vitamin D3 because my level is little bit low. But now I am going to start taking 100 micrograms of k2 as you suggested after talking to my family doctor. Thanks for that.
I take 700mcg of K2, 5000iu of D3, Mg, selenium, iodine, zinc, strontium separately from Mg. A b-complex, omega3’s, Hyrauluonic acid, ubiquinol, NAC, glycine, cistanche, citrus bergamot. I never get as much as a cold when everyone around me gets the C word
A study was done around 10-15 years ago by a Professor at Birmingham University 🇬🇧 On the efficacy of getting Magnesium into the body. He tested the Mg levels of a reasonable sized group. Then told them to take a bath of 100L. With a 10% solution of Mg. Salts mixed in, for 20 minutes every day for 7 days. He then re-tested them and found that on Average, they were about 33% higher Magnesium levels in the body. As the skin is the biggest gland and it’s porous. This showed to be the most effective way of getting one’s Mg. Levels up. Generally speaking, I think Mg salts are around 20% strength, Mg. Flakes are around 25% strength. & Mg. Oil is around 30% strength. (Very useful for those with no bath 😮 so use after a shower🚿) Mg. Oil is great for applying to local areas to alleviate Muscle Cramping. (My experience). Of course it also pays to get good quality product in these. For the purest form of Mg. Look out for mg. that’s mined from the Zechstein Sea👀 (A prehistoric seabed about a mile under the North Sea). Hope this helps. May the Force be with you.🌀 Jim🌀 (-: :-)
Fetuin-A takes the calcium out of your blood vessels after the MK-7 carboxylates the MGPs AND you have sufficient magnesium in your system. the fetuin-a is the carrier protein that takes the calcium and directs it to either the bone or to the liver for processing
I take 100 micrograms of Vit K2/Mk7 daily. I did also take Vit D3 at one stage, but have run out. I also take the following OTCs daily: Selenium Complex (Sel, Zinc combo), 500 mg Curcumin and 1000mg N-Acetyl-Cysteine (NAC). The costs add up, and my K2/MK7 was provided by my brother in the UK, dirt cheap. In South Africa we struggle to get. I eat LCHF, so hopefully the other micro's are being taken care of!

I'm a veteran and go to a VA clinic. You say many times "check with your doctor." the problem I have is I don't feel confident my current PCP is all that knowledgeable on this. They do have me on a D3 supplement and then I also take Calcium Magnesium w/zinc supplements at night as part of a stress regimen so I can sleep. Doctor, I really enjoyed watching your video because I had been diagnosed with 50% blockage calcification of my arteries. My age is 62 and I was wondering if you could provide additional data on ways to reduce the calcium in your arteries and push it back into the bones, which is what I think you’ve described in this video when I didn’t want to go back over. You’re very easy to listen to. I’m retired military and you would’ve been excellent as a briefer to generals.
Vitamin D is important for maintaining good health. A deficiency can cause problems like weak bones, increased risk of infections and disease, and cognitive impairment. Make sure to get enough vitamin D for overall well-being.
Thank you so much. I VERY much needed more clarity of calcium , vitamin K 2 and magnesium effects on the body. I have made aware of The importance of vitamin K 2 and have added that of late. I have osteoporosis , so bone density improvement is very important in my case. Thanks again. God bless you.
D ramps up relatively slowly, maybe a month, and falls down similarly. Can't speak to K2. You find out your levels with by standard lab tests. D is measured as Xmg/dl. 20mg/dl is scraping the bottom of the barrel. 40 is not bad, but most Americans don't reach that. 60-70 is optimal, what Africans in a lot of sunlight attain. Think of it as what evolution is teaching us.
I had noticeably less angina pains with activity within 2 weeks of taking 100mcg K2 daily. After several months, I started taking it 4 times daily and some D3. 3 months ago, I had total hip joint replacement and the surgeon said I had no sign of osteoporosis. I don't know if taking K2 for less than a year had any effect on that.
So grateful to hear this info. I eat organic eggs (pasture) almost daily. A liquid supplement with D3 and K1 in a green smoothie in a.m. But now I am going to add in the K2. We juice green veggies a lot. Ahna

Hello, I have been taking D3 and K2 for a few months and I have had no issues but I also had my gallbladder removed a year ago. Can you explain in more detail why taking K2 without a gallbladder can be bad? I have had no issues with eating after my gallbladder is gone. Thanks you. Andrew.
Just some general info. Gallbladder's function is to store bile produced by the liver and release it when a meal containing fat is eaten. Bile salts help break down fats so that they can be absorbed. K2 is fat soluble, so its absorption depends on it being broken down.If you don't have a Gallbladder there is increased probability that your ability to break down and therefore absorb fat soluble nutrients is compromised. Good news is supplementing with bile salts improves fat absorption for people who have had their gallbladder removed.

This content/information was really helpful. I was going to start taking a K2 & D3 supplement. But, after being off of Eliquis (blood thinning med) for a few weeks; I developed blood clots again last week for the third time. Just started on the starter pack of Eliquis a week ago (which has saved me twice now ) so it may be too soon to start adding supplements. But I will definately have a chat my doc at the next visit.
Low thyroid may cause blood clots 600mcg of Vit K2 may eat up a clot, but I would not take that dose daily. 2000mg of fish oil thins blood/Aloe doesn't let blood stick together. No gluten/dairy/soy/sugar/GMO may help.
Hi, I've been taking Eliquis as well and did a little research and found that vitamin k2 doesn't conflict with Eliquis. I've been taking vitamin d3 for a few years now. After reading your comment I'm thinking about speaking with my cardio doc and see what he says. I haven't felt any change since starting vitamin k2 drops daily for a week now. 🙏🏽
Recently, a concerning situation has unfolded within my personal network regarding post-vaccination complications. Several friends and family members have experienced the formation of blood clots following their COVID-19 vaccinations. Notably, medical tests revealed elevated levels of D-Dimer, a protein fragment produced when a blood clot gets dissolved in the body and is often used as an indicator of clotting issues. Most alarmingly, my father suffered a stroke, an event we are currently investigating to understand any potential correlation with his recent vaccination. While we recognize the critical role vaccines play in controlling the pandemic, these incidents have raised questions and concerns about individual reactions to the vaccine. I am sharing this experience to highlight the importance of monitoring health after vaccination and to encourage discussions about possible side effects. It is crucial to seek immediate medical attention if any unusual symptoms are observed post-vaccination. I hope that by sharing my experience, I can contribute to a better understanding of the vaccine's impact on a diverse range of individuals.
Thanks Doctor for the very easy and understandable explanation. I have moderate costal cartilage calcification. It makes me a bit difficult to breathe sometimes. My primary care physician says there is nothing can be done. My question is, can taking Vitamin K2 (MK4 or MK7) reverse the costal cartilage calcification? Anyone with answers or links is very much appreciated.
We appreciate you watching and contributing! In the studies I was reading, it did not reverse significant calcification already present but did prevent further and future calcification. But that does not mean that it can't improve because I believe that things can always improve when you improve your health; it is just difficult to prove in studies (especially for this specific issue). @@DrTomBiernacki Curious if Vitamin K2+ Magnesium works better to decalsify? Was taking 10K - 20K D3+K2 and hot horrible knee pain likely osteoarthritis. I Took 300Mcg K2-Mk7 + 300MCG Magnesium daily and knee pain cleared up 75% within a week after months of pain.
Search for reverse calcification with the key word K2. You will find that high dose has been shown in several studies to reverse plaque. 6000 FU or more. Ignore studies that look at less than that because they show no benefit. Perhaps over longer time frame lower dose can work. Multiple studies showed a 36% reversal in plaque size. These are simply incredible findings. There is no known way that this can typically be achieved so I view these findings as extremely compelling. If you see a “rare” event in science you have to take those findings seriously to investigate what caused the outcome. Hand waving away these results is not good science. Explain the outcome.

What is inorganic calcium?
I’m 77 years old. I take daily 50mcg of Vitamin D3, 500mg of Magnesium, and 100mcg of K2. I’ve notice the Neuropathy in my have disappeared where I no longer take 300 mg of Gabapentin. The shooting nerve pain has ceased. I now walk 2 to 3 miles a day as a part of my exercise.
5000IU of Vit D3 helps me the most and sunlight.

@@joannejohnson7006 Good luck to you. Your commitment to your health is inspiring. You've got this!
But here is the main point:
This was observed in the group that were given synthetic progesterone and estrogen.

You’ll want to take about 5,000 iu’s according to research. They say for every 100 iu it’s a 1 point increase in vitamin d
I meant to say I took 10,000 IU Vit D3 daily rather than 1000IU daily
@@neemak100 very good. What are your D3 levels at 10k end of summer and around spring time?

Excellent tip!

MK not MQ. It is good you know about the importance of K2 MK4, which is way more important than K2 MK 7, although MK7 is valuable in its own right.

A study was done around 10-15 years ago by a Professor at Birmingham University 🇬🇧
On the efficacy of getting Magnesium into the body.
Levels up.
Generally speaking,
I think Mg salts are around 20% strength,
Mg. Flakes are around 25% strength. &
Mg. Oil is around 30% strength. (Very useful for those with no bath 😮 so use after a shower🚿)
Mg. Oil is great for applying to local areas to alleviate Muscle Cramping. (My experience).
Of course it also pays to get good quality product in these. For the purest form of Mg. Look out for mg. that’s mined from the Zechstein Sea👀
(A prehistoric seabed about a mile under the North Sea).
Hope this helps.

Fetuin-A takes the calcium out of your blood vessels after the MK-7 carboxylates the MGPs AND you have sufficient magnesium in your system. the fetuin-a is the carrier protein that takes the calcium and directs it to either the bone or to the liver for processing
Great to see your comment Mr Theut. I heard you on a few podcasts! What’s the best way to increase Fetuin-A?
I take 100 micrograms of Vit K2/Mk7 daily. I did also take Vit D3 at one stage, but have run out. I also take the following OTCs daily: Selenium Complex (Sel, Zinc combo), 500 mg Curcumin and 1000mg N-Acetyl-Cysteine (NAC). The costs add up, and my K2/MK7 was provided by my brother in the UK, dirt cheap. In South Africa we struggle to get. I eat LCHF, so hopefully the other micro's are being taken care of!

How long does it take for any of these to make a difference? Weeks, months or years? How is it measured or verified?
Ahna

We appreciate you watching and contributing!
Magnesium supplements:
Not the best ones = (Oxide, Hydroxide, Carbonate, Sulfate)
Good ones:
Citrate (easy absorbed, good for headaches/calm, but too much = laxative effect)
Threonate (good for brain & cognitive function - but more expensive)
Bisglycinate (bisglycinate vs glycinate = the same, easy to absorb, cramps, stress & relaxation, not laxative side effects) ,
Orotate (good for athletes, more energy but more expensive)
Taurate (blood sugar & diabetics),
Malate (good for fibromyalgia)

Hello, I have been taking D3 and K2 for a few months and I have had no issues but I also had my gallbladder removed a year ago. Can you explain in more detail why taking K2 without a gallbladder can be bad? I have had no issues with eating after my gallbladder is gone. Thanks you. Andrew.
With sacred secretion you may be able to grow your gallbladder back. One of the many things it does is produces stem cells.
I’m wondering the same thing
