Are you happy now going around bad-mouthing your own fellow Koreans? Perfect! Now everybody thinks Koreans are all racists and bad guys who constantly discriminate against their own people. So, I guess, you were on the receiving side of all the prejudice and discrimination. Why didn't you do better so you don't get discriminated by some Snoddy folks in Korea? Disgusting people are everywhere if you let them walk all over you. In Korea, people are only against losers among their own people. I would suggest you become successful instead of playing a victim and becoming a coward behind the computer and bad-mouthing your own country. That's a so typical loser's behavior. If you know what I mean. I know so many successful Korean people who came from nothing, but they made themselves not to be looked down on by anybody and get all the respect. No matter how you describe yourself, you don't come across as a valid source of Korean social structure. In any country you live in, there is a lot of discrimination for all kinds of reasons. The only way you can overcome that discrimination is by succeeding in society. Look at all the Korean Japanese who were harshly discriminated against by the Japanese. But mostly they are treated well nowadays because they are successful in their society. Do you know Mr. Son with Softbank and Uber? He and his family were dirt poor and they were discriminated against, so much so, that they had to even change their name. But he is the richest person in Japan now. Japan treats him with the utmost respect. My point is, don't victimize yourself, and remember that you have nothing to gain from bad-mouthing your own country. At least this admin has a goal for more clicks even though he picked the unadmirable topics. It seems like bringing down Koreans as nasty discriminators and racists became his hot topic. I see more than one same topic content. No matter where you live, you are still Korean. It's too bad you are discriminated against and disappointed with your own country that much. Poor you!!

@@kimsim6757 I don’t think (and hope) your message had the intention to sound condescending. As such, I must apologize for my mistake. But to answer your question, Kenya and SKorea officially began their diplomatic tie in February 1964 (Yeo Sung-Jun, 2024). The years 1963-1964 were also the start of Kenya’s independence from the British Empire, becoming the sovereign state that stands today (University of Central Arkansas, 2014). Thus, from a post-colonization and post-war context lived by both Kenya and South Korea, this relation might had emerged from a need for alliance between two emerging countries (in the context of the 1960s).
Economically, SKorea benefits as much from Kenya than Kenya does from SKorea. Kenya’s geography is rich in primary ressources. As technology progress, the demand and need for those ressources increase. South Korea might be more technologically advanced, but to create these technologies, it must all come from somewhere. Our demands for the semiconductor industry increase for our demands on specific ressources that African communities such as Kenya (in East Africa) or the Congo (in Central Africa) possess.
As for the recovery aid sent from Kenya to South Korea during postwar Korea, I could only find information on Wikipedia. More research on my part would thus be needed to fact check that claim, but I hope you’ve learned something on the importance of diplomatic ties with countries and communities within the African subcontinent.

So, it cannot be equated to slavery. Yes, it was one of the worst inventions of the human mind, but you have to understand that the system was far more complicated than that; if it was really as cruel as Western historians have generalised it to be, it could not have stood the tests of time, would have been overthrown with brute force of masses during its 4000+ period of existence.

Koreans look down on Filipinos? Not worth of their respect? If the Philippines had their mentality, Filipinos wouldn’t have fought and died defending those same Koreans in their war against North Korea.
South Koreans believe they’re so much above Southeast Asians. I’m Filipino-American. That second nationality, I could easily think I’m far above South Koreans. I mean without America, they’d be bowing to Kim Jong Un. Right? They wouldn’t have BTS, Black Pink, etc.
Again, South Koreans looking down on Filipinos are either ignoring their own history. Or simply denying their history. Filipinos fought and died so you can have your country free from dictatorship. Respect is the least you owe the Philippines.

I haven't yet encountered blatant Chinese racism in the social medias, though (I should see more videos, I think). I mean, all the foreign people visiting there seem to be pleased enough. The Vietnamese servers only serviced the white group first even though they came later. And they ignored the Koreans and the Koreans were angry and mad because they thought that they were somehow superior to the Vietnamese and southeast Asians. It was at that moment that they realized that the Vietnamese did not see any difference between Asians. And Koreans realized that they were still garba*e compared to white European people. This was perhaps one of the most hilarious moments I witnessed

I am laughing at you and your thinking level. So tell me. Did you think it was right thing to do to ignore the people who came earlier and served those white group even though they came later? What made you think those Korean people were upset because "they were somehow superior to the Vietnamese"? What's got to do with thinking superior to Vietnamese and asking for the right treatment? And did they say, they think of themselves as they are superior to Vietnamese? Isn't that natural to get upset when they were dismissed intentionally just because they are not 'white European', according to you? Is that how people think in Vietnam? So, you think white European people are better than Asian people so they deserve to be treated better and speedy in your mind? Is that why Vietnamese didn't fight when they were colonized by France? Where is your self esteem? Don't you feel you are the same as those white European people and you want to be treated as such from Korean? Would you be okay with Korean people serve you after the white European people in the restaurant, since you are less than white European people? Wow, is this cultural difference or your own self esteem issue? Have some pride in you, dear Vietnamese. you are a valuable person as much as any ethnic group.
If you don't respect yourself, no one is going to respect you. What an odd imbalance in Asian people! Korean has too much high esteem and Vietnamese has too low self esteem. I pity your life. Love yourself, dear. you deserve as much as other people whether they are white or black or even if you are Vietnamese. As far as I am concerned, Vietnamese people I've met was very proud people. Fair skin is considered more attractive throughout East Asia cause in the past it was a status symbol due to Asian skin tanning easily so being pale mean you get to stay inside all day and being dark mean you work outside all day. But we are born with fair skin, many SE Asian is naturally darker. But don't mind SK, they’re weird and doomed to fall under the North. Korea wasn't really ever at the center of the world stage anyway, it doesn't look like that's changing anytime soon either. China makes Indonesia into superpower, some a-holes from southern Korea is too trivial to worry about.

That's true. I live here in South Korea, there's definitely a strong difference I can feel about the way South Koreans treat other Asians (Chinese, South Asians and South East Asians) in general. I am a mixed blood of Chinese, South East Asian and a bit European. Eventhough my skin is not dark, but I don't look Korean enough and they definitely look down upon me after knowing I came from SEA country. Arrogance and pride are the enemy of society. Quite a contrast to Japan where we’ve visited many times and will continue to do so.

i always found it funny how Koreans look down on the Chinese as well. throughout the hundreds and thousands of years of Korean history, Koreans copied everything the Chinese did.
Korea was still seeking protection from China like barely 100 yrs ago. also, as a banknote collector, Korean paper money started to use Hangul like 60~ yrs ago, and Chinese characters were used on South Korean banknotes. as a saying goes, money enhances a person's character and Koreans got rich and started to look down on others.

Changing their master from China to United state doesn't change their Subordinate status. After China overtaking the US economy, they have to return to the Chinese vassalhood again just like their Korean ancestors were. 😂

The Chinese people are easily swayed by the Communist Party, and it’s unfortunate. Around 90% of counterfeit brands worldwide are produced in China, and there have been numerous instances where Chinese people have launched copied versions of Korean variety shows without purchasing the rights. They also make absurd claims that traditional Korean cultural elements like kimchi, taekwondo, and hanbok are theirs. Some even go as far as to say that Jesus and the pyramids originated in China. The people, manipulated in a country without freedom of the press, religion, human rights, or expression, are trapped in a cage.

The West and Turkey have amplified their dehumanizing stereotypes against South Asians, examples being: street sh*tters, scammers, savages, filthy, r@pists, etc. Now, they are adding a new stereotype“zoophilia “. I am pretty sure you have seen this on social media where trolls take articles about animals r@ped in India and post it. The West has been dehumanizing South Asians for over a century. Also, they portray India as anti-Muslim . I don’t think we face discrimination because of skin color as many Italians, Greeks, Persians, and Hispanics have tan skin, but face far less discrimination. These stereotypes also affect other South Asians. It’s about image.
