I have worked in Korea for a short while and have encountered old world racism. I found women to be the most racist of the lot and they do not even hide their disdain for my skin colour. It was refreshing and enlightening at the same time. I was never fan of K-pop but was fan of Korean crime series. After my visit to Korea, I stopped watching Korean series and avoid Korean products. I have worked in China as well, Chinese do not treat Indians badly as Koreans.
china is complete opposite, i went 3 times and last 2 trips wudnt have happened otherwise. i was actually surprised how helpful and respectful they were. i thought indina china wud be sm tension in ppl. i ended up staying 5 months in total. and wud go again when things settle down there. as a note big cities may have scammers like rest of the world. the more u explore towns and villages the more picturesque and warm it gets.
I have went to cities Tianjin, Chongqing and many remote area of China and I found Chinese citizens a way humbler and kind than Korean and Taiwanese...

Being a k-pop and kdrama fan for 7years now I guess we Indians have overhyped k-pop and their dramas , it's high time to support our own culture and bring Indian pop and Indian authentic classical art forms in an international level. Foreign countries are generally very strict and follow rules diligently, but some Indian tourists create chaos, causing all Indians living there to face the blame. Moreover, they are not only targeting Hindus but also Muslims. I believe we should be more careful and work on improving our image and our nation's reputation, rather than simply blaming others.

Indians in every country need to get organised and form strong local groups, and perhaps even enter into the politics of their respective countries. As Indians increase in these countries, it's but natural for their local people to feel overwhelmed by the "foreigners". On top of that, most Indians are talented people. Therefore, political power is important to counter any negativity.

Firstly, we Indians should stop discriminating against each other, learn to put ourselves first before foreigners and uphold each other regardless of our colour, faith, belief, location etc. in that way we can uphold ourselves and when we are better, people will start looking up at us. Strangely Indians still for love Koreans despite knowing they are not welcome. Indians acted like they are on same level with them. They actually laughed and joked behind their backs. The main complain is body odor, poor taste in clothing, can't afford branded stuff, eat cheap things, etc. Also Indians speak funny accented English compare to their American accented English.
I'm currently studying in Korea and I want to thank you for this video. I've encountered similar situations, especially in clubs and during travel. These experiences made me consider leaving for India several times. While coming to South Korea was my own decision, it doesn't justify the mistreatment. I'm aware that many people in India face even worse situations due to caste and religion. However, once we step out of India, our nationality is what defines us. This is a reality experienced by many Indians worldwide. I hope those who discriminate based on caste and religion get the chance to travel abroad at least once in their lives. It might help them understand the mistakes they're making in treating others.

Excuse me but Indians are always ahead of Koreans in knowledge. I have been here for 6 years, I did my Ph.D. from here and am currently doing a post-doc. The literacy rate is high here, but they are far behind us knowledge-wise. Yes, they are ahead of us in racism. During COVID-19 once they saw a foreign person they suddenly kept the mask on their face. I have had so many bad experiences here during my whole stay. But some people here are too good and too kind mostly from small towns.

The country they hate the most is Lee 2, and India is viewed as slightly better than Lee 2. Where are the Koreans who traveled to Pakistan? Yes. Every kpop fangirl should visit Korea & stay there for some weeks to get a reality check of Korean people & Korean society. I have experienced this in our country itself.At KCCI(Delhi) the basis of communication is English and teachers don't even know proper English to teach korean, when asked for explanation for grammatical points,they say they are not translators, when asked doubts they say don't ask us , I don't know how a person is supposed to learn Korean in korean,and they charge 8-9k per level... The reason is because of our childish and immature obsession with their culture that now they think we are dieing to be the part of them and we have no self respect, thus they think they are supreme and we are beggars, dirty , smelly etc..... Initially they used to take interviews to get student in.....now to accomodate the rush with no proper infrastructure and good teachers....they have make it a business and just earning huge without imparting value services....so its not worthy, they need to improve a lot. I have worked in Korea for a short while and have encountered old world racism. I found women to be the most racist of the lot and they do not even hide their disdain for my skin colour. It was refreshing and enlightening at the same time. I was never fan of K-pop but was fan of Korean crime series. After my visit to Korea, I stopped watching Korean series and avoid Korean products. I have worked in China as well, Chinese do not treat Indians badly as Koreans.

Foreign countries are generally very strict and follow rules diligently, but some Indian tourists create chaos, causing all Indians living there to face the blame. Moreover, they are not only targeting Hindus but also Muslims. I believe we should be more careful and work on improving our image and our nation's reputation, rather than simply blaming others.
I want to add that we Indians should respect our people too because different communities in India too face discrimination and abuse.

I'm currently studying in Korea and I want to thank you for this video. I've encountered similar situations, especially in clubs and during travel. These experiences made me consider leaving for India several times. While coming to South Korea was my own decision, it doesn't justify the mistreatment. I'm aware that many people in India face even worse situations due to caste and religion. However, once we step out of India, our nationality is what defines us. This is a reality experienced by many Indians worldwide. I hope those who discriminate based on caste and religion get the chance to travel abroad at least once in their lives. The literacy rate is high here, but they are far behind us knowledge-wise. Yes, they are ahead of us in racism. During COVID-19 once they saw a foreign person they suddenly kept the mask on their face. I have had so many bad experiences here during my whole stay. But some people here are too good and too kind mostly from small towns.

This video surprised me since I lived in Japan for a few years and went for a trip to South Korea in December 2014 and at that time we did not face any such discremination. Well, it is very true that they are very very concious of their appearance and well things may have changed a lot in the last 10 years.

I have experienced this in our country itself.At KCCI(Delhi) the basis of communication is English and teachers don't even know proper English to teach korean, when asked for explanation for grammatical points,they say they are not translators, when asked doubts they say don't ask us , I don't know how a person is supposed to learn Korean in korean,and they charge 8-9k per level...
The reason is because of our childish and immature obsession with their culture that now they think we are dieing to be the part of them and we have no self respect, thus they think they are supreme and we are beggars, dirty , smelly etc.....
Initially they used to take interviews to get student in.....now to accomodate the rush with no proper infrastructure and good teachers....they have make it a business and just earning huge without imparting value services....so its not worthy, they need to improve a lot.
In all it's high time for all to face the reality and respect your own culture rather than giving preference to the culture that doesn't respect us
