Honestly, Vader stole the whole scene in this cut. His attack sequences were so nasty!!
And so God Damn well kept in what was in canon - Anakin after becoming Vader was no longer able to preform complex moves with lightsaber so he start using a style, in which one he concentrated on simple strikes, but boostet with his mechanical hand and force. That's what we are able to see here - Ben was barely able to parry Vader strikes, even if they were so simple.
Yeah. Vader was never one to really twirl his saber with flair. That’s one of the reasons I liked his character so much. He was to the point, but nonetheless surprisingly fast and agile, with real power behind his every attack.
man there are so many good stories that can be made between ep 3 and 4 with Vader. This character is unique
@@a_fine_edition2746 But what made that blade twirl Vader did so awesome was it showed Anakin coming out because of his anger and hatred toward Obi Wan.
Inspired clip and an inspired comment. Vader is in his armor and can't make any facial expressions. Yet in this clip, you could feel the rage in his movements. Its interesting how much it adds to the seen.

Exactly. The fighting style fits both with his limited mobility and rage. All finesse is gone. All that's left is hatred and brute force.
This was definitely a grudge match from someone who's pissed at the guy who threw him in lava and wants revenge
Vader was actually afraid of Ben Kenobi and fought cautiously according to the Novel.

Am I the only one who sees this final fight between these two as extremely sad? Two men who were once as close as brothers, would die for each other, locked in a horrific and brutal fight to the death because of one man's consumption of hatred, anger, and fear. As someone who has had some great mentors whom I now consider lifelong friends this whole scenario kinds hits a little deep.

@Atheist Inquisition I just love how they captured that 20-30 years of rage that Vader had brewing perfectly. With every swing was just raw emotion. Also not going to lie when they had the flashbacks I nearly let a tear out lol.

Whenever I see Vader I always get sad. Having watched all Star Wars shows and read most of the Vader comics, his whole story just breaks my heart man 😔

I second this. The oldest Sith groups were basically cults. All ancient Sith are martial acolytes of the Dark Side of The Force. Ofc talking Darth Bane & for sure Darth Sidious hardly any if at all religion in to play. Just a lingering philosophy ^^
Also the term Acolytes I come across often in RPG games when dealing with the evil mid-tier members of some cult.

Did I see Obi Wan use Juyo and Dun Moch, the fighting styles used by Darth Sidious in Revenge of the Sith? That is simply brilliant, as that would make perfect sense why Obi Wan would choose to use Vader's master's style against Vader. This was a magnificent fan film.
Where did you see Obi Wan use those fighting styles? I want to be better able to study it myself
I liked as well as chuckled when both of them sat up IMMEDIATELY when the fight started. I did the same damn thing.

To the fam I want you guys full review on that clip you just seen. I want no less than two hundred words. In other words go ham! One love to all TCN family.
I know some people really prefer the original scene, but I love this one so much more. It shows so much more depth and bond between ObiWan and Vader. Not to mention it shows how powerful Vader really is. The original trilogy just tells you he is powerful, but doesn’t always back it up(especially after seeing what Anakin is capable of in the prequels). This version, in my opinion, really shows off his power and why he was able to take down Luke without struggling too much. I do love the original, but I love the concept of this one

Guys, that’s classic buildup! The longer you’re away from the fight, the more you wanna go back and see it. That’s film 101, and it’s utterly brilliant of them to show you what it would have looked like in the actual film. It makes it feel 100% more authentic. 10/10

I remember the top comment from the original video saying that the choreography was groundbreakingly genius, because the sword play, mainly Vader's part showed the savagery and hatred of a person that was thrown into lava, suffered, and was left there.
