As a single older male with a number of single women friends, I say yes, no, maybe depends on age, intelligence and have a open honest relationship. maturity also plays a roll. both people must first respect each other. friends can enjoy each other in any number of ways, as long as there is that understanding and respect of each others feelings. but no doubt having a sexual relationship with anyone changes the dinamics, how you deal with that is called maturity. let's face it we are all human with needs and desires. Good friends are important so don't let sex get in the way, so before you go that route make sure there is a clear understanding of things. that's all I have too say on this subject. I think we need more opinions from other countries and cultures on this. I have several female german friends who are just amazing and there is no sexual tensions at all. Aside from that though, i feel the notion that sex or sexual tension exclude friendship to be rather childish. If there is tension because sex is not a friendly trait to someone you want to be friends with, you just get over yourself and your feelings. The way i view friendship with a woman unless she excludes it, is that she is just like the rest of the guys but sex is just something more to offer to the friendship. The only problem is if you can separate sex hormones from love.
