Something I think people are forgetting is the fact that the East coast as a whole extends the entire length of the US. People from New York are very different than people from Miami even though they are both on the East coast.

Exactly! Florida is waaaay different than NY or other States up north, at least when comparing weather, culture, landscape, etc. It is like night and day difference. For the west coast, I think Seattle (rainy and cold?) is way different from LA (warm and sunny?) when it comes to weather, too.

East coast people are probably the nicest people ever. I'm from Maryland, and everyone there is completely sweet and we will be rude if we have to, which is rarely. Although, the stereotype where we're rushing out the door with coffee in our hand is accurate haha!!

I find that hilarious, bro... In Hawaii, we call that "Pidgin English" or broken English - back in 1850 until the 1950's, the multi-racial (Filipino, Korean, Japanese, Puerto Rican, Chinese) sugar cane and pineapple plantation (rural/country farmer) workers spoke this common colloquial language as a way to communicate with each other, while their strict horse-riding (Caucasian/European/"white" male) bosses were away. The families probably taught their children this. At home, the kids could speak Pidgin and their own native tongue; but at the schools, they had to speak "the (English) Queen's"/proper English. Then, when these children do grow up, some of them still speak Pidgin English. (It is not like they are stupid, retarded or are uneducated. That is what some people prefer to speak, when they are just hanging out with their friends aka "locker room talk.")
I lived in LA for a while, and I can honestly say that everyone I met was very real and very friendly. I lived in Westwood, and I've stood on that corner he was on more times than I can count. Maybe it's because I'm from Colorado, where people are a little more closed off and less talkative, but Los Angeles felt friendly.

upstate new york has a totally different vibe. in the suburbs there is more landscape, its pretty quiet, everyone isn't rude, its calm, people dress casually, the food up here is diverse just as it would be in the city.
I love new York ❤. We went to Syracuse new York for church events and activities. My mother pays to stay in hotel 2 weeks in 2018 and 2006 maybe like probably in 6 months ago and 18 months part. They've also have a biggest pool inside there, outside playing a basketball court, and gymnasium. We had fun there! It was amazing things! Ever i'm from Baltimore Maryland (northeast coast)

People on the East Coast are rude and will ignore you. But they are also extroverted. I base that off of having been to NYC a few times...and dealing with people here (San Diego) who are from NYC. On the West Coast...we are a lot more laid back. People will greet you with a 'hello' and 'how are you' at the store. People are also content to ignore you if you are running...and everybody (on the coast) is in to exercise. People more inland are a completely different story.

Lived in Greater LA for 6 years and Connecticut/NY for 5 years. I definitely like LA better. I think the people are more friendly as a whole. Nothing against the east coast, but I had not the best experience there. It was good to start over in the West.

East coast is way more experienced than west coast. We actually get real weather but they get nothing but sunshine so they have no worries. We know how to prepare for situations but they only get rain once in a blue moon. We get snowstorms, rainstorms, thunderstorms, sleet, hailstorms, etc. they get one cloud and that's probably it. They also shiver in 65 degree weather. It's ridiculous. We also are a lot less lazy than them. They are the rich ones living in Hollywood hills and everything. They also vacate way too much. The word "Jap" is an extremely racist slang for someone of Japanese decent, widely used during WW2. The word is still an extremely offensive one and trying to say it's now "okay" to use because it's an acronym for something else is just being ignorant. You can't erase the history of the word. I don't know a single person who would hear it and not be extremely uncomfortable in doing so.

Saying this word to someone of Japanese ethnicity is the same as calling someone of African decent the "N" word. My grandmother immigrated to the U.S from Japan in the early 1950s, trust me don't ask her if it's "okay" to use the term to mean something else. The word has the same negative meaning throughout the whole of the US, and much of the world(!!) I am from the East Coast and I've never in my life heard of a Jewish American Princess, let alone one being described with this acronym (the girl who used it in the video was a west coaster). It doesn't matter how many "Asians" live in a certain state, town, or country; it's still offensive. It's not okay to use a racist term just because someone of that ethnicity isn't in the room and it's not only people of a specific ethnicity who are offended by certain terms. Also, why would anyone believe a Japanese American wouldn't be offended by its use? Anyone, no matter what race could (and should) be offended by this term.
