honestly, you have some of the best videos on ICE MACHINE repair. Please keep them coming. I fix these machines but hate those long Manitowoc seminars. Your method takes less time and explain it better. Same with Hoshizaki machines. Thanks again -
Very informative. Thank you for sharing. I found this feeler gauge on Amazon that I use for setting the thickness it works well for me. 3163530 Engine Brake Adjustment Tools 7MM for Cummins ISX Engine Jake Brake Feeler Gauge
I tried the tap test on the back of the probe, and it only jumped up to around 200-300, I see that’s way to low but does it matter that I did the back side and not the nipple? Tech support had me change the probe with a spare, but the unit was still making a 1/4-3/8 bridge and not braking. When the water started covering the probe, it stayed down around 80-90. 2 sensors with the same reading, could that be a bad board or just 2 bad sensors? I did have 3.3 vdc coming out of the board also Also thanks for the video, It was very educational!
Sorry for the delayed response. Hmmm. I’m glad you spoke with tech support because they are the best resource available. I’m not comfortable saying it’s a bad board because they’re expensive and I don’t want to be wrong. 3.25-3.35 VDC is what the board should be putting out so it probably good.
@@IceMachine411 I did update and replace the probe again, been working ever since! The probe was actually sensing and jumping up like it should, 1/8 inch bridge. It was great. Your video helped a lot though, keep em up!
Thanks for sharing. Could you please advise if top 4-5 rows are thin compared to the bottom rows is it low refirgerant symptom or could be other causes as well?
I would assume not a water issue. As long as you’re not running out of water by the end of freeze and the machine isn’t constantly adding new water to the trough.

Could be a charge issue. Could also be a TXV issue. Hard to say unless I’m looking at it myself.
@@IceMachine411 thanks. But it is the refrigeration related issue, not water related issue (like water pressure or smth else), right?
I would assume not a water issue. As long as you’re not running out of water by the end of freeze and the machine isn’t constantly adding new water to the trough.
@@IceMachine411 thank you so much 🙏
9/32 is also the size of a 9/32 drill bit
Oh right on. 👍
Harvest ice not fall in bin and thickness of ice more. What could be the reason?
Hot gas valve. Bin switch. It could be a lot of things. Manitowoc tech support will walk you through the diagnosis process over the phone.
Always check for 7mm-9/32” when replacing the probe.
Yes! 👍
What is the symptoms of faulty ice sensor probe?
There are multiple. Number one would be that that it doesn’t sense the ice. Number two would be that it senses ice that isn’t there.
Can high temp water pump affected the ice production of ice cube machine?
what is the # on the sensor.thanks for the info.
You should call tech support and ask them for a part number for your specific model/serial.
I learned a lot but who was that baddie ???
My wife.
When ur checking the hertz on the probe is 100 hz supposed to be higher or lower than 120hz or does it not matter
I don’t think it matters. The manual doesn’t say anything about that. Just that it rises by 3000 from its base line.
@@IceMachine411 thank you
