You’re welcome.
Pretty in depth video! Thanks!
MT hvac!
It's nice when you have room to work around the machine. A lot of times the machine is back in a corner when I go to work on them.
You’re so right! Small greasy kitchens are the worst.
@@IceMachine411 also the little coffee huts with the under the counter models.

💪🛠️ Glad they’re helping!
I just ordered a Manitowoc IYT0450A-161 and the filter assembly. What size copper is needed from the water supply to the filter assembly and size hose from the assembly to the machine? Also, what size are both ends of the water shut-off valve from the assembly to the machine? Are they all ¼?
You’d have to look at the installation manual to know for sure. New machines come with all that information in the box. My guess would be 3/8 water line though.
Can you pleas tell me the port size fr the hihg and suction side to check. Pressure with manifold...thnks
1/4 inch ports are the most common type for what I work on.
Great video dude. How much do you typically charge for these 6 month cleanings if you don’t mind me asking
This was a quoted job. I think it was $250 but I’m not certain. That includes all the cleaners, sanitizers, nitrogen, chlorine tablet, filter and labor.
@@IceMachine411 about how long was the total job?
I have a indigo Nxt above a soda machine do I Have to remove the unit from the soda machine to clean it
No you don’t. You just need to protect the ice from contamination. Unplug the dispenser and cover the ice. If the machine is really dirty you may need to empty the ice from the dispenser.
@@IceMachine411 Thank you so much. Your videos help me a lot
I'm considering buying a Manitowoc IYT0450A-161 Indio to replace my Hoshizaki km-201bah because I need a bigger machine. I only use the ice for my soda and food coolers in my hot dog trailer, so the ice is not used in drinks. I'll use approximately 160 pounds to 210 pounds a day, depending on the weather. Would you reccomend doing a chemical cleaning twice a year and a take apart cleaning once a year for what I use it for? It'll be in my basement, where it's always cool. My Hoshizaki is in the garage so the melted ice goes directly outside with a pipe, but where I'm putting the new one, I'll have to put in a drain pump. The garage also gets hotter during the summer. Would you reccomend a Hoshizaki that's equivalent to the Manitowoc or is the Manitowoc good enough?
Manitowoc is a solid brand and probably good for what you need. Cleaning should be done at least every six months but more often as needed. Keeping your machine in a climate controlled environment is definitely the best way to go.
@@IceMachine411 Thank you for responding. I would definitely do the chemical flush cleaning every 6 months. Should I also change the filter every 6 months? Should I remove and manually wash those parts ever 6 months, or once a year?
May seem like a dumb answer but I’d do it as often as it needs. Ice is food.
That green solution was just like any other cleaner right? Mine is clear
It’s Nickel safe cleaner. Specific to Manitowoc.
Good morning?? It’s afternoon here
lol. WAKE UP!
Where you get that brush
Home Depot if you’re talking about the white one.
@@IceMachine411 The long one for the pipes
Oh that’s from Taylor Freeze but Amazon has them as well.
Have you done all the manufacturers courses to be a authorised engineer mate?
Not all manufacturers have courses. I’m also not an engineer. Just a guy that works on ice machines.
In uk you would be a refrigeration engineer mate
Oh that’s awesome!
