This roll sounds like a nice one to save up for. But I seem to be an art bag collector! Seriously, the roll seems great, and the shop has some other lovely bags to save up for. Lovely looking and durable.
It really is! I appreciate how well made it is and the canvas is extremely durable, so I hope to keep enjoying this roll for many years to come. If you do end up getting one of their pieces, feel free to let me know how you like it! It sounds like you already have some art bags. Do you have a current favorite? ❤️
@@lunahowell I have the both Etchr bags, an Art Toolkit set, Darsie Beck’s field easel bag, and many book bags and other totes. The thing is I don’t do as much art work outside as I like. 😅 The art “bag” I use the most is the large and medium sized Sketch Wallets; I can toss my well-used leather case into by bag and sketch in a 3.5”x5.5” sketchbook or switch to the square medium one. One or two pens and pencils work well for that size, great for quick sketches.
Wow i was not expecting the palette to be that expensive 😅🙈But i really like your setup. I carry mine everywhere in my purse. A little wooden pallette box with wc. Fineliners that are waterproof, 1 uni ball signo pen for white details. A couple of waterbrushes. A kneeded eraser & a mech.pencil. sometimes i pick also a few stabilo woodies bc they are very sturdy & watersoluble. Oh yeah & some clamps & a paper tisue. Friends & family think I´m Mary Poppins the way everything fits in my little handbag 😅
Yeah, it's definitely a once in a lifetime purchase. Recently, I've also been using my $10 gouache travel palette a lot, so no need for something super fancy 😆 Thank you for sharing what's in your kit! Sounds like a great one. The Stabilo woodies have been showing up a lot on my instagram feed lately so they've piqued my curiosity. Aww, I love the Mary Poppins analogy 💖
i love your kit, partly because i use practically all the same supplies. especially the watercolours and those multi-coloured pencils have been my obsession lately. i just repurchased neocolor II last week, i had them in 2013 and never really ended up vibing with them and had given them away. otherwise, i love watercolours, coloured pencils and oil pastels on top, for some reason... i might end up saving up for a sendak roll, maybe just the mini because boy are they expensive, but that little palette of yours has just stollen my heart! i have way too many palettes, but... i guess i'm gonna need to save up for that one as well. ☺
Thank you! I'm so happy to hear from someone who uses the same supplies 😊 I hope you like the Neocolor II better this time around. I've started enjoying them a lot more since I started doing mixed media work. Peg and Awl does have annual sales, so those are the best times to get one of their artist rolls, unless you can find one used 💕
@@lunahowell same thing, i'm terribly sorry, i hadn't seen your reply! yes, i was lucky this year with black friday. the discount payed for the shipping to france, basically 😅
Oh, yes! The gold ones are Escoda Reserva. They come in a variety of sizes. The big one I showed was a size 10 and the smallest one is a size 2. In my roll I also have a couple of travel brushes from Rosemary and Co (the silver ones) and they're fantastic as well. Hope this helps 😊 @@oneTokyogirl
My palette is from the *Little Brass Box Company* www.littlebrassbox.com/index.html but unfortunately I think they've stopped making this model 😢 However, there are other companies making similar palettes. If I were in the market for a little brass palette, I would probably go for this one www.lapetitepalette.com/slim.html from *La Petite Palette* By the way, my palette is around 7.5 x 6 x 1.8 cm. I hope this helps! I'll go ahead and update the description with this info ✨
@@lunahowell hi, sorry, i hadn't seen your reply until now ! thank you for all the info. i just finally got the sendak mini, and i feel like my strap is waaay too short, it's medium filled and it can barely reach the exit of the buckle, eeek. if you see this comment, can you please measure yours? i'll make sure i see your answer sooner! XD happy end of year festivities!
@@darklittlepeople Oh no, I'm sorry to hear that your strap isn't long enough! That would be very disappointing. Have you reached out to Peg and Awl? They're a small family business so I feel that they would be willing to give you a replacement. 🙏
Hi Selma, that's an interesting point. I hadn't really considered it. How long have you had yours? They are made from waxed canvas so I imagine that might be the reason for the sensation you mentioned. I have found that the wax does eventually wear off.
It didn't bother me, mainly because i'm used to wearing Barbour waxed jackets! They have always felt damp to the touch but that's what makes them waterproof which is also something i consider good for protecting my art equipment. Once in a while the wax should be reapplied on the jackets and i will do that on my Sendak.

Love that adorable palette!!! So cute! What is the travel brush that you showed?
Do you mean the plastic one? That's the Pentel Aquash Water Brush. Thank you 💓
Actually I was wondering about the gold ones🤗. You mentioned that they were really high quality.

Does an a6 sized sketchbook fit?
Not in the mini version I show here. I have an A6 Hahnemuhle sketchbook and it fits in the regular Sendak.
Brilliant, thank you
speaking of the palette, you don't have a link for it - could you please tell me the dimensions, or the name of the palette on their website?

watched so many videos about that sendak, bought a couple, both feel uncomfortably damp to the touch. why not mention that?
